Dracula the character is about the endless projections, so I randomly thought about an adaptation where there is no design for Dracula.
When Jonathan first sees him he looks like a well-meaning and slightly hot dude and when we get to the flashbacks we realize old!Dracula looks surprisingly like mister Hawkins.
When Dracula grows younger, in Jonathan's eyes he starts looking like Arthur, the richer husband of Mina's richer friend, the guy who has a title and some money and security to give to his future wife. A true English Man TM he'll never be.
When Mina sees Dracula for the first time she sees herself leeching off Lucy because she's terrified of being predatory and bi.
We never get to see Dracula through Lucy's eyes but to her he would look like a mishmash of all of her suitors, that demands she loves them all.
And, hey that attack on Mina is narrated by Seward, right? So to Seward Dracula looks like a mix of Lucy and Renfield, the people he objectified the fuck out of.
Helsing never tells anyone, but he totally sees Dracula as Seward, because he's ashamed to want him.
(Yes, there'd be some implications that Renfield was the only person who saw Dracula as he was and it fucked him up deep and good, don't you know me)

They all have different curfews, and their clock runs out when they need to go home
Scott found a puddle and is making a very pretty mud-castle
Pearl and BigB are playing spies, sneaking up on everyone and watching them through the bushes. Pearl brought her cat from home, and BigB keeps finding and carrying around frogs
The TIES are trying to make a shelter for some bugs they found (probably slugs or caterpillars or smth). They have lost track of every bug they found (except for one, which Joel stomped on), and are constantly searching for more
Entertainment mountain is a giant boulder that the Clockers are playing house on. Cleo was declared Mom because she is the tallest out of the entertainers, and because she keeps yelling at Scar to put his shirt back on
Scar has a bunch of erasers and bracelets and stuff from the school store that he keeps trying to trade with everyone
The Bad Boys claimed the playground as their territory. They all have kiddie sunglasses. Joel's are too big for him and slip down his nose.
Cleo declares a game of The Floor is Lava every time the Bad Boys annoy her.
Boogeyman curse is a game of tag
The Bad Boys made Bad Boys Bread Bridge out of everyone's lunchboxes. They hopped on the lunchboxes during The Floor is Lava so Joel could tag one of the Clockers
Skizz and Bdubs' fight was an actual fistfight. Skizz tapped Bdubs once and was declared winner

realizing cis women also struggle with “passing” a lot of times and has a lot of the same issues with dysphoria trans women have (issues with putting on/losing weight, dissatisfied with bust size, not feeling “feminine” enough, etc.) has done a lot to combat dysphoria for me, cause it’s like, wow, we really have a lot more in common than we have in difference huh

Forget about all my other aus tbh. To appease my own hyperfixated mind, I made a swap au with no demand whatsoever. Welcome to my Soukoku <--> Suegiku au! A quick rundown on everyone below.
CHUUYA: After the incident following Verlaine and Rimbaud taking young Chuuya out of the labs, the path changes when he's given to the government as planned. Raised to be the most ideal weapon an ability user can be, he's perfectly loyal, perfectly powerful and perfectly emotionally stunted, as a tool should be. Akin to a little victorian boy in how little he knows about the world.
DAZAI: Previously involved with criminals, he accepted a deal to change sides in order to be a powerful tool for the government after being caught at an young age. Why? Mostly out of curiosity. His previous life didn't give him what he wanted, so maybe this one would. A bad choice from a teenager as now he can't leave no matter how much he may (deep down) want, so he's quite jaded. He has no care whatsoever for the people he's protecting, buut he's really good at lying.
JOUNO: The ‘pale harbinger’ of the port mafia, the youngest Executive in its history. He deals with people that could come up as… complications in the mafia’s day to day operations. Surprisingly sweet to his subordinates, though how much affection is genuine and how much is manipulation is a grey area. A constant thorn in Mori’s side, but a needed one that makes the PM stable. The brains in double black on the times they work together.
TECCHOU: An executive of the port mafia, but it would be more adequate to call him it’s dog. He specializes in assassination, but he also deals with protecting the trade routes for the other major port mafia businesses. A very aloof figure to even his subordinates, of which he doesn’t have many as he’s a one man army and prefers to work that way. The overwhelming might of double black when they work together. He delivers justice how he sees fit, working with the mafia under the genuine believe they do what's right.
