one of those things i’ve meant to draw forever but when i actually do i realise how goddamn stupid it is. but here it is anyway. reipunzel
i was gonna do extra tangled redraws but my screencaps were in such awkward aspect ratio that it wasn’t any good….. but i did do one really messy one in like ten minutes anyway
Based on the original context from the Japanese, Brooklyn was so aggressive towards Kai in their beybattle(s) due to his god complex. Kai challenged him and the more passion and fighting spirit he had, the more Brooklyn wanted to tear him down. Brooklyn, however, isn’t all evil as it seems. The way I interpret his character, I see a constant struggle within himself (hence the devil/ angel wings from the final episode). Brooklyn is a misunderstood character. I don’t think it is completely toxic for the possibility of him and Kai getting on better terms with each other. Kai is a foil to Brooklyn: one strived for perfection and one was a prodigy since birth. One gave up the darkness and one was consumed in it. Kai was literally fighting himself: the perfect blader that he could have become. This is why I love the Kai/ Brooklyn dynamic so much and why Brooklyn is probably one of the more memorable villains from the franchise.
There was this image of Takao on a stage with a mike, dressed in white pants, giving quite cool vibes, and a long white scarf in his neck, which was actually Kai’s in my eyes.
Guess it was of G Rev.
If anyone knows please give me the link to that post.
