“Your English worse than mine.” That’s his only response as his gaze flits from the television screen to Frida. He’s silent for a few moments, sipping on the vodka, as if he’s contemplating her request— if you can even call it that. “If I was stupid enough to crash the car, and if I didn’t have a backup plan, I would say— maybe I would saying: can you please help me? Not acting like they are doing me a favor. Or how you say it.” Alex is being a prick, but he can’t help it. It’s kind of built into his nature.
“You want try that again?” It’s not like she has many other options, so he’s going to keep the charade going as long as possible.
‘ you can’t be that desperate, ’ frida tells herself. fingertips tap against her glass, as if contemplating her next move she just ends up shooting back whatever’s left and pushing the glass away. their stomach feels like the heap of crushed metal they pulled themself out of, all twisted and weird. the feeling of not being in control is already making her sick. no. she’ll figure it out. she always does. she always does.
“ what do you want me to do ? ” she replies rather simply, followed by a scoff. frida puts up a lazy finger, asking the bartender for another. the first step is to get as drunk as possible that’s when she has her best ideas. “ you want me to give you my best ‘ puppy caught in the rain ’ bit ? you want me to get on my knees and beg for your help ? i’d rather die, thanks. ”
