คshe kept her eyes on him as he responded to her , watching with each twitch of his mouth and wrinkle of his brow. it made her think , despite not wanting to , about her plans for Peter Parker. originally he was just a means to an end , someone who had helped her in a pinch but she wasn't about to let him stand in the way of her job. she still felt that way , even if she might have liked him , but there was something more.ย she didn't want to hurt him. it wasn't indifference , it wasn't her just not wanting to be a bad person , SHE ACTIVELY DIDN'T WANT TO CAUSE HIM PAIN. that was the most dangerous part about him.ย

AGES AND THE BAT FAMILY.
this is a general guideline to Selinaโs age as it compares to other members of the bat family. I keep this in mind at all times when writing Selina. all things are dependent on verse , who iโm writing with , and whatโs going on in the thread of course.ย
Selinaโs first arrest was when she was eleven years old , for residential burglary. it wasnโt until she was 15 years old that the newspapers began calling her Catwoman. itโs around this time that Bruce , in his mid 20s , began working as Batman. Selina is at all times between eight and ten years younger than Bruce Wayne.
Selina is less than three years older than Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon , and around five to six years older than Jason Todd and Cassandra Cain. she doesnโt act this young , and doesnโt really admit it all that often , but she is much younger than she seems.ย
Selina is the same age as Helena Bertinelli , and three years younger than Kate Kane. Selina is the same age as Pamela Isley , but is over a year older than Harley Quinn.ย
Selina was treated as a small time thief by the Gotham City rogues up until she was around 19 years old. their opinions were changed after she pulled off a huge heist at the Gotham City diamond exchange and managed , not for the first time , to evade capture by the bat in front of many witnesses.

IMPORTANT POINTS.
Selina is the same age as Helena Bertinelli , closer to Dick and Barbara than Bruce. normally , I write her between eight and ten years younger than him. this is because she started off as Catwoman a lot younger in my version than comic canon ( although itโs not confirmed across all boards how old she was )ย
I have a very long and extensive backstory between she and the Joker that unless I am writing with one or itโs plotted differently ( which is super hella unlikely ), is a part of her history. she and the Joker attended high school together ( for the little bit that she actually went ) this means , similarly to her relationship with Bruce , she knows his real name and real details about him , but she would never share them with anyone.ย
despite the fact that Selinaย โ has a thing for straysย โ and is always willing to take in a feline that needs a home , it is rare that she will keepย them. she will always find them a proper and more permanent home. this includes both actual cats and people. at home , she has two cats. a black burmese with bright emerald green eyes almost the same color as Selinaโs , and an orange and white norweigan forest. their names are Sally and Gilly , after the sisters in the movieย โ Practical Magicย โ.
Tim Drake is Selinaโs favorite robin , obviously until Helena comes along. she would never say this out loud , and she allows Jason to think that itโs him , but itโs definitely Tim. as for batgirl , she has a soft spot for each of them and couldnโt imagine choosing one. she is closest with Barbara.
Selina is the queen of switching sides. everything she does has a benefit for her , no matter what. but even when sheโs on Batmanโs side , being goodย , she is still very close with her rogue friends Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. she will do her best to keep them out of trouble , even at the expense of her relationship with the Bat.ย

ABILITIES AND EQUIPMENT.
between grades four and ten ( ages around 9 years old until around 15 ) , Selina was very involved in her schoolโs gymnastics team. she was a natural at the sport. very flexible and able to master things that many of the other team members couldnโt do. her instructor and many of the others told her that she had the reflexes of a cat. when her school had the funding , they often enrolled in competitions and Selina won almost every competition she competed in. when her high school team was invited to nationals , she was unable to compete because she couldnโt afford her share to go. soon after , she dropped out of high school.ย
Selina doesnโt necessarily have an affinity for cats in a mystical way ( except in herย โ the boysย โ verse ) she doesnโt talk to them in the hopes that they will talk back , she doesnโt share feelings with them , and they donโt listen to her for any reason that might be mystical , magical , or supernatural. she is just kind to cats , and cats feel like they can trust her because of the way she treats them.ย
Selina is an expert with a lock pick , and can crack any sort of lock or safe very quickly. she can break out of a pair of handcuffs within five minutes , sometimes less if theyโre loose or old. she can crack a safe without the use of a stethoscope or other device to help her hear. she is also extremely stealthy , similar to a cat , and can bypass detection by mostย surveillance systems.ย
Selina is extremely skilled with a bullwhip and prefers that to most other weapons. she does carry at least one knife on her at all times , and isnโt afraid to use it. she doesnโt really care for guns but will use them when the need arises. when fighting , she prefers to incapacitate someone rather than kill them. it isnโt that sheโs horribly against it like Batman , she just doesnโt feel the need to. she will do what she has to , though , so it isnโt out of the question.ย
technology in general can be confusing to her. she has the newest technology at all times , but she doesnโt know every single use of her items. when she has a question , she alwaysย calls Tim Drake to come and help her. he does , despite knowing that heโs potentially aiding a thief. itโs something only they share.ย
her current cat suit : the suit is a mixture of kevlar and leather which covers her body from neck to ankles. the suit itself is sleeveless , but she oftentimes wears a shrug top to cover her arms down to her wrists. she wears gloves on her hands which have a built in set of fingerprints feature , for planting evidence when needed. her gloves also have retractable claws in the fingers that are strong enough to cut through most surfaces , especially thick paned glass. she wears a tool belt over the suit , but she doesnโt name her tools and gadgets cheesy names like Bruce does ( no catarang , no cat grappling hook , no cat smoke bombs , no cat shark repellent ). inside the tool belt , and in hidden pockets inside the suit , she carries several smoke bombs , several lock picking sets , at least one knife , a fingerprinting set ( for lifting prints ) , an extra flash drive when needed , and many other things. she also carries a twelve foot long braided bullwhip. with the suit , she wears thick combat like boots , notย high heels. the boots have a built in adhesive that , when used , is helpful with climbing but isnโt meant to allow her to stick to walls or hang from ceilings. her mask covers the top half of her face and her hair , with extendedย โ catโs earsย โ that transmit sound through a device in her ear and can reach about a mile away. the mask has built in retractable goggles that are infrared , can see through a thin surface , and have night vision.ย

SEX AND RELATIONSHIPS.
while Selina isn't necessarily easy , she is extremely flirtatious. flirting comes very easily to her and it's her natural way of communicating with someone. just because she flirts with someone does not mean she is interested in them sexually , if at all , nor does that mean she is trying for a ship. this is just her normal demeanor.
she is demiromantic , which means that she has to have a real connection with someone before she will enter a relationship with them. gender does not matter in this case. Selina has a lot of trust issues and a fear of commitment. this is heavily due to watching her parents relationship as she was growing up.
Selina is pansexual which means that she can be attracted to anyone regardless of gender or biological sex. she has a pretty high sex drive and isn't ashamed about that in the least. at any given time , Selina might have one or two FWB type relationships. these most often , if she is willing to return repeatedly , are people that she trusts and enjoys their company without the fear of strings.
Selina is very conscious about birth control and will not have sex without some form of contraceptive. she is very committed to her religion and would never consider having an ab*rtion , so she is careful about not putting herself in a situation where that would come into question.
she is a bottom leaning switch , depending on the type of person she is having sex with. very often , she tends to be submissive with most men and dominant women. she isn't often attracted to men that need her to take control , but she is happy to do it with women.
one day I will write about selina's childhood , but today is not that day.
Selina's parents never taught her how to love. they barely knew how themselves , and when they found it within themselves to love something , it sadly ended up being their respective addictions rather than their children.
the girls showed love in the ways they knew how โ Selina took care of Maggie , putting her needs ahead of Selina's at all times. it was Selina's responsibility to make sure Maggie was fed , bathed , taken care of , and safe.
later , after leaving home , Selina never came in contact with real love. she had boyfriends who would say the words but act differently. she never actually felt true love from another person , and didn't know how to properly show love even when she wanted to. another person's feelings are foreign to her , unless of course they are physical in nature , and when things get too overwhelming for her , Selina will flee.

MAIN VERSE : for all intents and purposes on this blog , the main DC cinematic universe and the MCU are one in the same. if you do not wish for this to be canon during our interaction , please let me know. while this version of Selina is not tethered to any specific movie or game , her base verse is adaptable for all versions that don't have a specific verse ( ie the Batman 2022 )
in her main verse , Selina is in her late 30s. she is between eight and ten years younger than Bruce depending on the Bruce i'm interacting with. she has been working as Catwoman since she was 15 years old. Bruce proposed to her and their engagement was long , but when it came time to actually go through with it , Selina left Bruce at the alter.
ALTERNATE VERSES : past verse , I will never write a thread in which Selina is younger than 18. it makes me very uncomfortable to write Selina as a minor , especially considering the type of business she conducted even at such a young age so I just will not do it. this verse will contain anything from the age of 18 to 23. these are the early days of Catwoman where she is still learning her craft and creating bonds and alliances.
the batman 2022 , in this verse Selina is 18 years old and has been Catwoman for two years. she is not the daughter of Carmine Falcone but she does know him , and has worked in close proximity to him for years.
mob princess , in this and only this verse , do I acknowledge the plot that Selina is Carmine Falcone's daughter. she was the product of an extra โ marital affair but didn't find out until after her mother's passing. as a result of the truth coming to light , Selina began working for the Falcone family in order to gain Carmine's respect before revealing that he was her biological father. when she finally did reveal the truth , Carmine attacked her and tried to kill her with his bare hands. he was unsuccessful in his attempt , and instead Selina managed to kill him and take up his mantle as head of the Falcone crime family.
STAR WARS : in her star wars verse , Selina is working as a smuggler out of Coruscant. although she agrees with the resistance , she isn't one to volunteer and she doesn't want to be associated with one side or the other. she would never sell anyone out or give information that could get someone killed. this verse is mostly set during the original trilogy and subsequent shows surrounding it.
RESIDENT EVIL : after abandoning Bruce and Gotham at the alter , Selina is called upon to do some work for a company called Umbrella Corp. she is hired to infiltrate laboratories and steal sensitive research and tissue samples. at first , she is willing to do whatever is asked so that she can get paid , but once she realizes the danger that comes with providing the samples to Umbrella , she switches sides and teams up with the STARS , Terrasave , the BSAA , and the other good guys. this verse is game based , I do not abide by any movie , show , or book.
THE BOYS : when she was born , Selina's parents Brian and Maria agreed to allow her to be injected with compound V in the hopes that she would develop abilities and become a supe. they were offered more money than they even knew how to spend and were able to pay off debts and move out of the East End and into a much nicer , safer neighborhood. it wasn't until after her mother's death that Selina realized the powers that she'd been ' blessed ' with. Selina has the ability to communicate with , and sometimes even control , felines in her presence. this wasn't limited to simple house cats , but even lions and cheetahs at the zoo. she used this ability to become a cat burglar , even talking house cats into unlocking doors for her to assist with breaking and entering. her public identity is a secret but those at Vought know about her abilities and oftentimes have hired her to do dirty work for them.
