I cooked.

I finally decided to share my TBHK OC, Hoshino Hibiki.

I love my red-headed gremlin child.

I've been reading this really good reader-insert fanfic that uses the isekai trope of being sent into your favorite manga and the protagonist (in this case the reader) is trying to help the characters get a better ending or avoid death.

Whenever I read reader-insert fics, I usually just use an OC instead of myself and this fic is SO GOOD. Like it could be it's own anime tbh. And the fic is gender neutral for the reader which makes it easier to imagine whatever you want your OC to be or for whoever's reading it to put themselves in it.

In my case, I'm using my female OC Hibiki.

This is Kazeko-san, a mischievous spirit with sound manipulation who uses their powers to work against the Broadcasting Club's plans to corrupt rumors.

It enrages me everytime it dawns on me that there is no graduating class in Gaza this year.

How maddening it is to think that just last summer I watched as Al-Shaima Akram celebrated received the news that she got the highest score in all of Palestine in her high school examination, not knowing that come October, Israel will kill her and her family and all the joy that was left.

No tawjihi celebration videos will come out of Gaza this year and that is devastating.

Since October, Israel had destroyed every university in Gaza and destroyed 80% of schools, killing hundreds of teachers and professor and thousands of students in its deliberate attempt to destroy Gaza's education system along with everything else.

In the words of Gazan poet Khaled Juma "the school year that never started in Gaza has come to an end". No last day of school bells, no kids celebrating the last day of school. All these joyful sounds have been drowned out by the sounds of bombs. No deadline extension requests for final projects, missiles had their final say.

No graduation ceremonies when parents are instead burying their children. No plans are made for the summer either, when everyone is busy counting the days and the dead.

Small reminder to stay calm even if the bill does get approved tomorrow.

Remember, the bill still has a very long way to go before it becomes an official law all around the U.S., and even if it does get to the president, there will be a very long 18 month time-frame where we can fight as much as we possibly can in order for it to be revoked (remember all of the other laws and bills in the past that got revoked because of protests).

Listen, I get that you're scared. I get that you're scared of losing everything that you've worked for, and that's okay. But thinking that it's all over by tomorrow if it gets approved is not a very good mindset to have. Remember, the reason why it hasn't gotten approved yet is because we've all been speaking out against it and refusing to back down even when it seems hopeless. Be optimistic. Be confident in everyone around you working with you in order to succeed in not letting these terrible bills pass.

It's not just KOSA you should be fighting against either. There are many bills like the recent FISA ACT and the Earn It Act that are also threats to our rights. Please advocate against those just as much as you've done for KOSA. Let's fight for our futures together as one.
