this might be a weird or stupid question but do u think louis has been told to dress more 'dad' like since like January? bc his style had changed into what he's been wearing since then. idk

I don’t think his style has changed much since 2013. That’s when he got more laddish and butched up.

So where’s the big style shift? This fandom is so suggestible that one person can say a thing and then a bunch of other people will run with it. Things that obviously have no basis in reality such as Louis going “Dad” on us.

I just worry for this fandom. Why do they make it so easy to be deceived? Seriously.

Personally I would like to see his style evolve a bit, though.

Nothing drastic. I would just like to see his off duty style a little more polished. Maybe after he gets 1DHQ off his nuts, he’ll do that. Since all of his public outings these days are stunts (with lots of Adidas promo), I can understand why style isn’t a big deal to him rn.

If anyone from Louis’ new team happens to somehow maybe see this post, please make sure Louis gets his young executive swag on when he kicks off the next phase of his career. He’s handsome enough to go high end like Zayn, so keep that in mind. Goodbye Adidas, hello Burberry. Just a thought…

I notice that a lot of larries justify their behaviour towards zayn by saying that the boys were petty towards him in the MITAM promo but that really isn't 100% true. Liam didnt say one bad thing and was basically praising zayn thru it all, Niall said nothing, and louis IMO joked around a bit but there was still an undercurrent of sadness at the situation. Harry on the other hand is the one that went full throttle, and in all honesty maybe they did have a fight before zayn left and 1/2

2/2 it was about him leaving but we all say and do stuff when we’re angry or ticked off that we regret and who knows maybe Harry regrets it, we don’t know what was and is going through his head. It makes absolutely no sense for only half the boys to feel some type of way about zayn leaving, clearly something sketchy is going on. just wish everyone against zayn would use the smarts we know they have to see that(P.S dont rememeber if i clicked the anon button on my first Ask but eh doesnt matter)

Well clearly I don’t believe Zarry fought over Zayn leaving because I think Zayn was forced to leave. So why would Harry be upset with Zayn over a 1DHQ stunt??

This fandom has completely misrepresented Harry’s reactions as being indicative of hard feelings when in reality Harry was coping with a shitty situation with humor and shadiness. And the shadiness wasn’t about Zayn, it was about being galled at having to cooperate with this stunt.

This is a guy who didn’t wanna play along. Remember when he was snatched from You & I promo because he didn’t wanna play along? Well there was no snatching him outta MITAM promo because they needed their marquee name there for all of it–they were already down a man anyway.

And since I’m well convinced Zayn and Liam are a real couple, I don’t think Liam and Harry could’ve gotten along so well post Zayn leaving if Harry was openly hostile about Zayn.

…I didn’t see any Larries screaming that Harry was pissed off at Louis for impregnating a low rent groupie. Why? Because they cared enough to make an effort to find the truth among all the heavily publicized lies. And that’s clearly lacking when it comes to Zayn.

So I say don’t try to drag Harry down to this fandom’s level. He’s light years beyond this petty childish foolery. In time people will clearly see how wrong they were. It’s coming…

So in the Elle magazine article it said that Zayn & Gigi started dating after he met her on the set of Pillowtalk, but when Gigi was interviewed on the red carpet at the MTV movie awards, she said that they had already started dating when they filmed the video. Their PR teams really need to get their stories straight. While they’re at it, they need to stop trying to convince us that Zigi cook, do art & live together. Smh. Speaking of which, Gigi’s friend Leah posted a pic of Gigi at Zayn’s alleged house with Zayn’s alleged dog in the frame, here’s the picture: https://twitter.com/GigiHadidsNews/status/760281095346786305

Gigi comes off as a creepy groupie who breaks into her favorite celebrity’s house and starts taking pictures on his property. The same thing that Perrie did. Someone call security lol.

But I don’t recall this house at all? At any rate, Gigi snapped her brother spending the night with her last night so Zayn was implied to be cooking only, which IMO means it wasn’t her pic, but not the first time we’ve had the pics of the boys get in the wrong hands.

Dan Wootton & Simon Cowell’s Official Narrative Refresher

Today’s Simon Cowell interview with Dan Wootton acted like a critical refresher for what the official narrative is supposed to be for every One Direction member, Zayn included.

It’s been pretty crystal clear for awhile, but Simon’s quote to Dan about Zayn being contractually chained to 1DHQ’s radiator confirmed exactly what a lot of have thought for going on 18 months now: Zayn is subject to the same smear campaign as Liam, Louis, Niall, and Harry are and he didn’t have a choice.

Simon tells Dan:

And really, is anyone here surprised by that? Zayn’s solo career has been the living embodiment of the 1D Busines Model: , Zayn™ is a merch and lifestyle brand integration vehicle – more of a billboard and a cash grab than a lasting brand. This strategy is pretty identical to 1D’s business model: one single gets marketing muscle and promotional airplay (hi Drag Me Down & Pillowtalk) and music is a part of the overall structure, but the primary focuses are merchandise and brand partnerships.

I’m going to be Old Man Yelling at Cloud and say it again: everything about the roll out of Zayn’s solo career has been fucky because it was designed to be that way. The lack of official confirmation from FAE, his off putting Cool Mom image, the cancellations (that have, incidentally, ONLY happened in the UK), his critical lack of promo, the fact that Zayn’s stunting schedule was in tandem with 1D’s and that Zayn’s print interviews (what few he did) were consistently used to push 1D narratives:

“There’s no secret relationships going on with any of the band members,” he explains. “It’s not funny, and it still continues to be quite hard for them. They won’t naturally go put their arm around each other because they’re conscious of this thing that’s going on, which is not even true. They won’t do that natural behavior. But it’s just the way the fans are. They’re so passionate, and once they get their head around an idea, that’s the way it is regardless of anything. If it wasn’t for that passionate, like, almost obsession, then we wouldn’t have the success that we had.”

To this day, Zayn hasn’t done a live interview. Think about that one: Zayn hasn’t spoken to an interviewer in real time, without editing or prior copy approval, for almost 18 months, and today’s Dan Wootton article was a stark reminder that Zayn is not free, not that we haven’t seen real and significant proof of that over the last year and a half.

I’ve gotten a lot of asks over the last two months asking me if I think Zayn’s career is over, and the answer is yes and no. As a solo artist, I don’t think Zayn is over at all. He had a number one single, he made a great album - there’s so much talent and potential there.

That said, I think that the promo campaign for Mind of Mine, as an album is over. Unless there’s some kind of miraculous Mighty Ducks-esque turnaround, the lack of any kind of label support or push for the follow up singles (Rolling Stone didn’t even know he had any) tells me that there isn’t much intent to push his music. I think Zayn’s also aware of that, given his recent deal with Kobalt where he paid a hefty sum to retain the “copyrights of the music he has written”. Zayn intends to eventually walk away with his music and try again.

And now there’s Liam, who seems to have seriously chapped Simon’s ass:

“It is a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is a another label who has now got your artist who you worked with for so many years.

“But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don’t think anyone else from the band will do that.”

Liam’s solo ambitions were a surprise to everyone, including his old boss, whose initial focus was keeping HARRY STYLES as part of the Sony family.

“You have got to remember with Liam I auditioned him when he was 14-years-old and he nearly made it through and then he came back and ends up in One Direction.”

Simon explained: “We had spoken a lot – him and I – about what he wanted to do next.

“I was teasing him saying: ‘If you come up with a great song Liam make sure it is for you and don’t give it away. When you’re ready I am ready.’

“So I was a bit surprised. Of course there is a part of you that goes: ‘Maybe we should have had the conversation.’ That maybe is my fault but it has happened now.

I think the current narrative with Liam serves a couple of purposes:

1) it’s paving the way for the end of Cherliam. Simon’s “These Hoes Ain’t Loyal” remarks to Dan Wootton followed by his quotes yesterday about how loyal Cheryl is to him and the X-Factor, tell me that it’s seeding for the end of Cherliam and Cheryl’s eventual return to The X-Factor, in whatever capacity that might be.

2) It fits with Simon’s brand of pettiness: Look at what a nice guy Uncle Simon is! He gave Liam his career, but I guess that wasn’t good enough for Liam and he just walked away :(

What’s curious about Liam is the the the fact Doyen Global was named as his UK management team, yet there hasn’t been any confirmation in the trades, or any official press release defining what their role in Liam’s career is going to be - the US press hasn’t touched it. Doyen Global is only being addressed as Liam’s management because Dan Wootton, Simon Cowell’s official spokesdick, specified that. I still think we have yet to find out who Liam’s US team, to be perfectly honest with you.

Either way, today’s shit article acted as a good refresher of what the narrative is supposed to be.
