In the last Erasercast we touched on the essence of speed, tempo and panic culture. In the third installment we shall further explore the notion of panic and warning by pushing the feature of speed and tempo to the highest possible extreme.  We will mutate electronic dance music, originally designed for 120 to 130 BPM dancefloors through our software’s highest fixed tempo, in an attempt to force rhythm into disappearance.  Song in the key of warning - A frequent trope in video games, by which music speeds up when a player is in a disadvantageous situation shall be surpassed to the point of panic override and instead, affecting the sound in an ambience of fast-paced collisions, calm, drones and nothingness. We will try conceptualising the theory that too much speed is comparable to too much light… We see nothing. Stay tuned for Eraser Episode 03.
Episode 03: Post-Drowning Music will be available Sunday 17 November via our download page or to subscribers of our rss feed.
