Delicate fingers clutch the chalice in my hand, knuckles turning white from the torrent threatening to unleash. A voice interrupts the unwelcome guest and says what can only be seen as a promise, but to me it was a threat to the man standing before us. Violet orbs turn to Lysander, her most trusted advisor, smirking at his devotion, speaking with a raised brow that the man part of the Thirteen thinks them children. He still thinks of her as the beggar Queen. If her shared look with Lysander or his words caused him to pause -- it did the opposite. Turning her gaze back to the all-too-eloquent man, " I have been sold and rained on --slavery is not the same as rain. What man wants to be owned? " She raises her brow at his attempt to gain his friend's wealth back by justifying slavery. A challenge.

Xaro shifts his gaze to Lysander, uncertainty flashes for a moment before sliding back behind a mask. " Does my advisor frighten you? " Good, she thought, you should be scared. Straightening, he does his best to intimidate, " Daenerys, let us speak as friends, with honesty. You will bring chaos and destruction to Meereen -- as you did to Astapor. You are aware that there was a battle joined at the Horns of Hazzat? The Butcher King has new unsullied -- the Yunkai'i have new sellswords along with two legions from New Ghis to fight beside them. The Yunksih have already sent envoys to Mir and Volantis to hire more blades. Some say the Wise Masters have bought the Golden Company. They have their sets on you and Meereen -- you are the example they are determined to make to those who threaten them. " Without another word, he departs.

Suspicion at his speech befitting a 'friend' had her questioning more than his loyalty. " Do you think he is part of it? Offering us honeycombs while secretly holding the whip behind his back? What do you think of what he said? " If what he claims is true, they have more than the Sons of the Harpy to worry about. Maybe Xaro was right; she could not bring peace and riches to Meereen. " If this is a trap, what is our best plan of strategy? " The man before he was lethal, and she trusted him with her life -- she knew that whatever challenges they faced, he would gladly be the sword to end it all.

I'm going to be candid for a moment...

I never share anything personal going on in my life due to feeling like a bother if I did. However, I feel like with this fresh start, I want to kind of share what is going on in my head. Like everyone else, I have so much going on in life--keeping up with replies can be taxing. I have been roleplaying for so long that the thought of quitting feels difficult--it was there during a difficult time in my life. This mun has days where I feel great and can get replies done; I have days where I feel like I suck and don't know why I am here. To help with my anxiety, I am just going to keep my list of followers small and implement a new replies policy. A way to hold myself accountable-- is by posting each week for people to comment to have replies done within that week. This does not mean I am treating it like a chore--this helps me stay motivated. No, if you don't comment-- that does not mean you are ignored--I just take a bit longer to return it.

Thank you for sticking by me! I know that taking forever on replies is annoying, and I am a pain in the butt, but I appreciate you all for sticking with me. <3
