So, as I’ve been saying for the past couple years, I’ve been busy with that “BIG PROJECT” I haven’t shut up about. Well, while I don’t want to reveal any titles or visuals or anything just yet for it, I can gladly reveal that this “BIG PROJECT” is a hand-drawn/hand-animated, 2D sidescrolling platformer game, completely thought up by yours truly. It’s an idea for a game I got back in 2010 that I’ve never revealed publicly. In 2017 I finally started to put together a very small team, and the concept began to become a reality.
All the artwork, in-game and promotional, is done by me. This is why casual art uploads to sites like this and commissions have not been a thing I can do for a while now. Almost all my free time must be dedicated to working on the game. Between all the in-game character animation for the lead role, enemies, bosses, and the like, are done by me, all stage graphics and backgrounds are done by me, and all menu, “loading screen”, and all around promotional character art is done by me, I’m doing the amount of work that is normally done by a studio, so I must do as much as I can, as often as I can.
I hope everyone ends up loving this game as much as I do, and watch out for a reveal trailer some time this year!
If you’d like to follow updates on the project, get a link to the project’s social media pages when they go up, or just follow good old Brendan Corris’ mediocre dumbness I say, give me a follow over on Twitter!

Thank you! Sorry, but no. I used to do commissions, but I’ve been working on a big project the past couple years and thus have closed for commissions due to time restraints.
Regardless, hope you have a great new year!
I’m currently looking for voice talent, mostly voice actresses, for a huge project I’ve been working on for almost two years. If anyone has a background in voice acting or desire to (or knows somebody who does) please feel free to hit me up.
I feel it fair to say upfront, pay will not be anything terribly high, as it’s an indie project by a very, very small team (mostly just me), or at least early on pay will be low, but all will be paid a greater sum if crowd funding goes well after the reveal trailer’s debut.
The project is completely hand-drawn animation. Quite a lot has been done for it so far. Anybody who contacts me out of interest in the gig will be given more details surrounding what they will be doing and what type of voice acting will be desired in an interview.

I've finally been getting a bit more active on my Twitter account. By more active I mean I've added more than the one post that's been the only thing there for over a year. I'll be posting art, opinions, updates, and all other junk there. Come check it out!
Seriously. Go see it. Amazing movie and an artistic feast. I haven’t seen an animated film innovate so much with every aspect before. The styles, the movement, the effects, the transitions, the “camera”, the colors, and so on, are all beautiful, unique, and groundbreaking. This is a must see! Best animated film of the year.
I absolutely love drawing these guys. Despite it not being my favorite Nicktoon (still loved it, but it could never compete with something like Ren & Stimpy) I find it to be the most fun to draw fan art for. The characters had such wild designs, yet simplistic designs, so there’s so much room for interpretation. And they’re the perfect cartoon for Halloween art.
The first batch is the main 3 students. Ickis, the trouble-making, self-doubting son of the greatest scarer ever in the academy, Oblina, an expert at scaring and pulling out her own guts, and Krumm, an expert at just being disgusting. I love and hate Krumm’s voice. I love it because it’s so unique, like deep and grumbly while also being squeaky and cracky. I hate it because I can’t possibly imitate it, lol. Actually, all of the main characters in this show have super unique voices that are pretty much impossible for me to imitate.
The second batch is monsters from the Monster Academy. Random students, Snav, Urbab and Kriggle, the main professor, the fabulous Gromble, who I here took inspiration from Tim Curry from Rocky Horror (ironic, because…), Zimbo, the one legged bee monster voiced by Tim Curry and always eager to scold the students, and the dreaded Snorch, who is the monster officially tasked with punishing students who do wrong. I kind of wish I made the Snorch’s tusks bigger.
And the third batch are the Monster Academy cheerleaders. I think they were only shown as cheerleaders like once or twice in the show, but most secondary characters only got to speak once or twice in the show. I think that was one of the show’s biggest missed opportunities in retrospect - they never really developed the supporting monsters much. These girls could have been like the Pink Ladies of the show (any Grease fans getting that reference?) but were mostly just background characters. They are Horrifica, who seemed to be regarded as the prettiest monster in the academy, and the apple of Krumm’s creepy, disembodied eye, Dizzle, an ugly little zit of a monster, and Hairiette, a bug-like monster who could separate the segments of her body.
Well, this show was awesome. I miss it. I miss all that gross-out 90s stuff. Hope you enjoy these creepy critters.
Did a batch of the most classic slasher characters for the upcoming Halloween season - Leatherface from “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, Jason Voorhees from “Friday the 13th”, Freddy Krueger from “A Nightmare on Elmstreet”, Chucky from “Child’s Play”, Pinhead from “Hellraiser”, and, of course, Michael Myers from “Halloween”. I’m debating using this as a t-shirt design.
Never noticed the awful cropping on Columbia’s standalone picture left a white bar on top before. Oops. Still one of my favorite Halloween pictures I did in recent years, though.
More Halloween stuff! Here’s a lineup of some of the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I’ve been a fan of this odd yet hilarious classic for ages, so it’s about time I did some fanart for it.
It’s about time I got around to drawing this. I’ve been meaning to draw this picture for years now. Gravity Falls is my favorite cartoon of the modern age. The writing, the jokes, the visuals, the stories, the setting, it’s all something extremely special and top quality. I originally planned to throw Gideon in the back and possibly other main supporters like Soos, but ultimately decided to do strictly monsters aside from the main three protagonists. I not only love the monsters in this show and mostly wanted to represent them, but also I feel there’s a much greater shortage of fanart of the monsters. Everybody just draws the human characters.I just love how the show generally has that cute art style, but then something that looks like a Contra boss or a Freddy Krueger manifestation can pop out. It’s a shame I’ll never know the experience of watching this show through a child’s eyes, because I believe it would likely be rather terrifying at times for a kid. There’s a few monsters i didn’t have room for. Can you identify them all?
Had to draw my favorite character, Grunkle Stan, though. Practically every line that dude says has me laughing out loud. Great freaking character all around.
I never did it intentionally, but every year when i happened to get back into watching Gravity Falls again, it was always around September and October. That, mixed with its obvious horror connections, have always made this cartoon part of the Halloween season in the past 4 or so years, despite it taking place in summer.
Just saw the new Halloween. I have some problems with it, and it wasn't amazing, but it was a damn enjoyable one. Probably on par with the level of quality of the original Halloween 2. No where near the god status of the first film and not as good as the 4th, but definitely still a good time.
