Why did mr neighbor have all those hearts in him if hes supposed to give them to lady trudy? Is he some kind of freak?

It made him feel "human". Mr. Neighbor struggled feeling like a real person. Ironically, his transformation sometimes made him feel more distant from everyone than he felt before it. In his own sort-of deranged way, "having heart" kept him tethered to reality. It's more symbolic than it is functional.

i have been bouncing around the idea of doing a fandub of be kind my neighbor which would also necessitate actually figuring out what wegg's songs sound like so this is... kind of a demo? for what this song sounded like to me

i definitely want to lean a little more seventies with the other songs while i'm trying to put chords onto them, but the phrase here just had a specific sound to me already so i ended up writing the rest of the melody around it. but i actually need to settle on what the fingerpicking pattern is haha

Does Neighbor actually enjoy having to do so many jobs and having such a tight schedule?

He likes to feel needed, to feel appreciated. There was a long time in his life where he felt neither. It feels good for him to give love, to help people. This is his genuine nature. He really is kind at heart. Busy-ness is also a good way for him to wave off intrusive thoughts and anxieties of the past and present. Despite all of the good he does, he does not consider himself a "good person", as he is weighed down with guilt coming from multiple directions, the aforementioned intrusive thoughts, and imposter syndrome. He's working on it, though. So, while he genuinely likes working and helping so many people, over-working himself is still... not the healthiest for him...
