INDEFINITE HIATUS!

life has been all sorts of complicated. boyfriend’s moving in this weekend and we have a few months of trying to integrate the cats. my own cat, snow, is, for all intents and purposes, terminal (cardiomyopathy, IBD, both worsening); he could have months or year(s), no one knows. mom’s been in a nursing home for a year and we’re trying to move her to one closer to home, not to mention all of her debts and a lawsuit against her for aforementioned debts. and work is absolute hell. and my boyfriend and i are trying to get rid of/sell the stuff that was hers in the apartment; we still have so much to go through. the stress is high and life is chaos.

my own health - mental and physical - has been awful. i’m always unreasonably and ridiculously exhausted. i need to, at the very least, deal with my health before i get back here. but i really, really want to. i miss writing so much, but i’ve barely had any time to do anything that i enjoy anymore. i’m just too tired to do anything but sleep on my days off.

( there WILL be a post here this weekend regarding my return and what i’m doing with threads ( basically, i’ll be tagging everyone i have drafts for and if they want to or don’t want to continue, since a lot of time has passed, will be up to them ), but i’ve been lacking in the spoon department lately.

i’ll also be deleting the ooc posts I’ve been making to de-clutter a little bit.

( boyfriend came over for a surprise visit and ruined all chances of productivity. 😂 i have an absolute ton to do around the apartment now, so getting in front of the computer is a no-go. expect the post announcing my return and informing whoever i have threads with of said return and the possibility of dropping or continuing existing threads ( which i will leave to my writing partners’ discretion) to come between thursday ( if i can convince myself to get up early before work ) and monday! )

( i don’t know if anyone’s still around, but i swear i’m not dead. i’ll be making a much more conscious effort to be active on both my blogs as of the weekend of october 1st. work is nuts and i’m constantly exhausted even with my 3 day weekends, i haven’t been able to juggle work and personal life with any degree of success, but i miss writing (and having hobbies in general).

there will be a more comprehensive post that weekend regarding dropping threads and the like, and i will tag everyone i have drafted threads with so they can make the decision whether to continue said threads or start new ones.

i will eventually get to messages here and on discord, but finding the spoons has been a challenge. 😅 )

( mom has covid and covid related pneumonia and is in the hospital. she was diagnosed last week, when i called an ambulance for her for the first time, but was admitted on monday because her oxygen saturation was low ( thankfully, test and trace here in nyc sent me a pulse ox ). she’s doing okay now, getting oxygen therapy and other treatments, but it’s still fucking scary.

so my head is not in the game. i’m quarantined until the 12th ( and i’m getting retested tomorrow ), but i’m trying to clean my entire apartment in the meantime, which takes less brain power than writing.

it’s been taxing. the only bright side was meeting a cute paramedic who has been so wonderful and who i’m definitely smitten with.

hopefully, i can get some writing done in the next few days. thanks for your patience, the past week has been ... awful.

wear your damn masks, people. my mom doesn’t even leave the apartment, which means it was brought in via boxes, or i brought it in and was asymptomatic. the end is in sight, but it’s still not over yet. be safe! )

heads up!!!

i’m going to be posting an open starter! i probably won’t get to anything until the new year, as i’m still trying to catch up on sleep and apartment cleaning, and have a hair appointment on the 2nd that’ll take all day ( bleaching, yay! ). not to mention trying to find the impetus/muse to write.

note that almost all inbox things will be deleted!!! i just have too many drafts and it’s already going to take me ages to get through what i have. i’m not yet sure if i’ll be deleting some threads, but if i do, i’ll make a post or notify my partners in some way.

( so i plan on making a valiant return on my blogs sometime after thanksgiving/the first weekend of december.

getting my ducks in a row, trying to adjust to a new work schedule ( tuesday through friday, roughly the same amount of hours, so exhausting but with a three day weekend ) and slowly working on drafts until then so i can get a queue going.

( i’m already on hiatus here, but this is a new thing that’s happening and i’m :| mentally, i’m mostly fine, but physically, shit has been getting weird. i’m constantly dizzy, fatigued, and now this. )

i found two new ( literally appeared overnight ) irregularly shaped moles and i’m freaking out about it. no history of melanoma in my family, but i unintentionally tanned this summer ( just from walking to work ) and i’m extremely fair skinned, so it’s at the forefront of my brain.

have to call tomorrow to make an appointment with my doc, and then probably get a referral to a derm. )

i know i’ve been mia for a few months, but i’m going to attempt to bring myself back here within the next few weeks ( i’m not setting a date for myself; i haven’t been in much of a mood to write lately, but i’m hoping inspiration will strike again at some point ). i’ve got at least 45 drafts and … god knows how much stuff in my inbox ( that i really should weed out ), but i don’t want to message everyone i’ve got threads with or who sent me things, and the lack of mutual checker on tumblr is an anxiety inducing clusterfuck. )

( i’m hoping for a comeback in september. i know my time constraints aren’t going to change, but i really want to get @atemyboyfriend​ taken care of re: drafts, memes and theme before i return here.
