TAYLOR REALLY WANTS US TO KNOW THAT WE’RE GOING TO BE OKAY. LIKE SHE HAS DRILLED THAT INTO US OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR HER WHOLE CAREER BUT ESPECIALLY IN THE LAST FEW YEARS
“it’s gonna be alright” “darling it’s going to be okay” “their words will cut but your tears will dry” like she’s really out here refusing to let us feel hopeless. she validates our pain but genuinely wants us to know we can move through it. i would Die For Her
i’m still crying and obsessed with the lyrical parallels + the subtle glo up between mine, a song where taylor imagines the perfect love & new years day, a song where taylor is actually experiencing that perfect love.
amazing. 10/10. catch me drowning in my own tears!
I’m sorry? But what gives someone (re: a company/business) the right to question a sexual assault survivor’s right to be on time’s cover? What gives them the right to weigh up a case ‘for and against’ Taylor?
Newsflash: Taylor’s already been to court, her ‘trial’ is over. A trial by media is soooooo fkn inappropriate, offensive, and quite frankly, dangerous to other reporters of sexual assault who may feel they continue to be persecuted and blamed after an assault. Just as Taylor is here.
Thank you Edward Enninful, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for your passion, spirit, and contagious laughter on set. Mert and Marcus took these photos for British Vogue and my album photos for reputation, and it’s been such a bonding experience working together so closely and talking so much about what we wanted to make. It’s been a while since I’ve done a magazine cover. I’m really happy my first one back was with such wonderful people.
