{{Bookman likes to wear traditional Chinese attire, so it leads me to believe he’s also got Asian descent in him like Lavi. I think that’s a given already.
But I also like to think that, since he was witnessing events between the Noah, that Bookman was originally doing most (if not almost ALL his work) in Asia up until he got Lavi as an apprentice. I can imagine more supernatural things going on in Asia and Bookman having a larger base knowledge of the region, so he mainly based his work in Asia. It’d explain his more stoic stance since Asians don’t necessarily believe in showing pain, since it’s viewed as a weakness.
And for the past thirteen years, Bookman’s been traveling the world a lot more so he can give better knowledge to Lavi instead of being region-specific. I like to think the Bookmen that aren’t in Asia are somehow a little more approachable and technically slightly friendlier, so it might vaguely explain why Lavi has a bigger heart compared to seeing hospitality and general kindness from Asia to Europe to America to Africa, etc.
So I think that Bookman might be more Chinese than anything else. Sticking to traditional views and attire, etc.}}

"Redhead? What use does that serve me? Makes it seem as though I'm just sloppy seconds," Bookman says, deciding to play friendly in order to find out who left with Tyki. "I don't even know who the 'redhead' is that you're talking about."
How would Tim know about that and be okay with it?
"And shouldn't you... I don't know... report to the Order when you catch sight of Noah?"
Flies over to the elder, "panda!" He beamed in excitement. "Where been panda?!"
"… Since when could you actually talk?”

"Definitely. No more jokin’ around for me."

Well, Bookman isn't quite sure he wants the twins knowing EVERYTHING. What if they gather information that seems unjust to them and they start to develop their opinion that begins to get bent out of shape? He heaves a sigh, deciding he shouldn't worry much about it.
"Then let's head to the library and I'll see something about an almanac or a dictionary for you two. Maybe an encyclopedia as well. Anything else you would like that interests you?"
“Yeah, hiii. Jasdebi’s books can only be read so many times before they get boring. And papa has been away so long that Jasdebi hasn’t been able to get anymore.” The blonde spoke, one hand clasped in his brothers. But at the mention of more books, a bright smile bloomed on Jasdero’s face as Debitto seemed to smile slightly as well. Never the trusting sort, he remained mostly quiet unless it was deemed necessary. But when he did talk, people found out, just how bad of a mouth he has.
“Jasdebi wants books about everything! The more Jasdebi can learn, the better! Jasdebi wants to be smart like papa.”

"Well, wait ten more minutes and we'll see what I think would be best done more efficiently."
In other words, talk back like that with those specific passive aggressive words and you're working overnight.
He sighed loudly. “Yea, I’ll do it. Anythin’
else ya want me ta have done by tomorrow?”

There are some parts of the Asian Branch still destroyed after a rather traumatic part of the Order's history. It's secluded and abandoned now, with Bookman wanting to see if there are any remains of what's happened since the Order is trying to keep events under lock and key.
His figure is the only one seen as he wanders about the empty parts of the building left standing, heaving a sigh in boredom and frustration.

Say, Bookman... What would you do if Lavi ended up adopting a child to raise them as the next Bookman after him?
"I wouldn't be happy considering he's in NO PLACE to make those sorts of decisions. He has no eye for what does or what doesn't make a Bookman, and to be frank his decision will be overruled by me because he doesn't know a thing yet."

"And while you're at it, go ahead and re-copy the reports I filled out on my last assignment instead of doing it tomorrow--and then copy it again so I can send it back to the Clan's headquarters."
Lavi looked up for a second, before going
right back to working. “Alright.” He sighed,
nodding. “I’ll have it done.”

"...... Ran out of books, huh?" Bookman asks.
Ah, these two hit his weak spot. Talk about books and he's sold. He'll tolerate their presence this time. Turning his body to the side so he can get a better look at the twins instead of turning his head as far back as possible, he nods toward the general direction of the library.
"Then let's see if we can do something about that."
Jasdero smiled sheepishly as the ravenette seemed to huff. “Jasdebi wanted to see you, hiii. Don’t worry, Jasdebi was very careful!” The blonde reassured the old man as he dragged his brother forward to Bookman, golden eyes peering up at the man.
“Papa is away and Jasdebi ran out of books to read.”

"I suppose the thing you can answer to put me in a more pleasant mood is simply how it is that you've got your own Dark Matter to combat against Akuma? That's a truly interesting matter I would like answered first and foremost to satisfy me."
“… Really, must you put emphasis on that particular word? How very rude. I suppose I shall allow you to ask whatever questions you so wish, if it will bring about a more pleasant attitude from you, sir.”

The children twins just stared at the male from behind a corner. Golden eyes watching the man.
"I feel a few small-leveled eyes staring at my back."
He glances back to see the twins.
"... Weren't you two supposed to stay in a room given to you by a certain redhead? Or perhaps you're bored?" Exactly what Bookman swore he warned Lavi about--them getting bored and wanting out.

"And if it isn't the young man causing such an uproar within Central's members. Personally, I found it inevitable that I would meet you on a more one-on-one basis. You're really something, aren't you?"
“… Ah, if it isn’t the Bookman himself. Here I thought I could avoid this inevitable meeting for a while longer.”
