@justalittlebirde @lark-foster
The doors to the Hall of Rock are easy to push open, the hall itself lit dimly by the lights from the large wall size displays lining it.

What Lark Foster sees in the Hall of Rock:
Once Lark steps into the hall he hears it, a soft shuffling in one of the display cases. Movement in the light from one of the cases catches Lark’s eye first and he bypasses the rest of the displays to get to it.
Mugen is stretched oddly between the glass and the back wall of the case wearing a furry red coat that was clearly the mannequin’s, most of everything that had been on display in the case has been upended and Mugen is holding the bass guitar like a baseball bat.
She drops it immediately and smooshes up against the glass, teary eyed shouting ‘Brother!’

What Birdie sees in the Hall of Rock:
Birdie doesn’t hear Mugen fussing about in the case she’s trapped in, instead the first thing that catches Birdies eyes are all the colors of the displays, and then slowly, the fact that most of the pictured musicians were not human. Mannequins in each case dressed in signature outfits.
Except for one case.
One with no photos hanging on the back wall.
One where the figure standing in the case was not a wooden mannequin but instead solid grey stone.
When she focuses on the statue she slowly realizes it’s of her father, a little younger and without his glasses but it’s him.
Henry’s expression frozen in one of terror and grief, stone tears running down his face as he reaches out for something in front of him. A demonic looking guitar sits on his arms, balanced precariously.

Memory 4: Mark’s betrayal
Warnings: Violence, Major Character Death
“You really mucked this one up Mark. None of them could even cast ceremony-“ he frowns “or you changed your strategy. You’re just aiming to kill both me and Scam Likely now.” He steps over the body of a barbarian that was still disintegrating. “Lazy information gathering either way. That party was weak. I’m disappointed. How much of a pushover do you think I am?”
Mark has two of her arms crossed, with a disappointed expression on his features. She shrugs in protest.
"Hey, they got further than the last group. You almost always oneshot them anyway. I figured since there were more of them, they'd have a better shot. Though after that, I'm kind of out of ideas…"
“What is even the point then? To annoy me?” He flicks a significant amount of blood from his katana, frowning.
"Can't I just say I want to see my big brother?" Mark sighs, and then smiles. "Honestly, this is the most we've seen each other in years. Before you drew that card, you were all over the place. I have to admit… this is kind of nice."
He hesitates but lowers his katana. “It is… kind of nice. I’m glad you’re finally seeing that Mark. I’ve been trying to tell you, I’m an improvement.” He steps closer.
“It’s different. And I was startled at first, but you’re right. I think this is better.” Mark looks at Well and uncrosses his arms. “I’m sorry for the way I’ve been acting. I’ll try my best to make it up to you.” He steps forward and opens his arms a little bit. “Awkward sibling hug?”
He looks Mark over and relaxes further. “I’m glad. I think a fresh start… would be nice.” He moves close, wrapping one set of his arms around Mark’s waist, happy to finally be understood.
Mark wraps her arms around Well Actually, glancing at the ring on the pointer finger of one hand that hovered in the air behind Well’s back.
“I agree. All we need is a fresh start,” Mark says, pressing the hand into Well’s back and closing his eyes. “And that’s what we’ll get. Ceremony!”
Utter betrayal wracks his body the second the light of the spell hits his back. For a moment it looks like it might take but then Well’s fists tighten in the back of Mark’s shirt, Lifting his Katana to Mark’s throat “Don’t.”
“I promised that I would save you,” Mark whispers dryly. He’s not stupid. He knows his chance of success is nearly zero. This doesn’t end with him walking out of here. “I promised, no matter what.”
“I trusted you and you tried to KILL ME!” The betrayal starts to morph into pure rage. “I thought you understood me!” He presses the blade harder against Mark’s throat.
“I do understand you. I understand you better than you understand yourself right now, and- it’s okay, big brother. It’s alright. I’m going to save you. Ceremo-”
The blade of the Katana cuts through. Ending both Mark and his casting at the same time. Well stills completely, shocked by his own movement. He stares up at where his sibling’s face would have- should have been in near horror.
“It didn’t- …. It didn’t have to end this way.”

Memory 1: The Victory
Warnings: violence, Major Character death.
Well Actually sits on a throne, just drinking some Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel and rereading a copy of Fight Club—
“Well, that’s a lot of you. Are we going to get rowdy? Because if we're going to get rowdy, we should probably roll initiative. I think you guys have been really fast and loose with initiative rolls in the past, and I think it's time to put some hard structure down.”
Mark groans “oh my GOD”
“Well Actually, you’re not a dungeon master. You’re just an asshole!” Jodie scoffs.
“Where are you right now?” Well smirks and Jodie pales. Jodie’s embarrassment at having been thoroughly corrected was delicious.
Mark shifts into the Tenth Doctor and summons the image of an American phone booth. “I’m the Doctor! Here I go in my Bardis!”
“It’s not- It’s not an American phone—“ he groans in pain “It's not an American phone booth and it's not called the BARDIS!”
“Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo-doo-doo! Hey, Tulip. Do you want to come with me and see the galaxies?”
“That's not her name. That’s not her name. Her name was Rose. It was the Time And Relative Dimension In Space, it's not—“ he retches.
“Oh, no! A Small-ec! He's so small, I'll squish him! With my sonic hammer!”
“Yeah, and then I'll go join my friends, the Slippers!” Henry gives Mark a thumbs up.
“Yeah, I’m the Doctor.” Dae-ruel throws his ax at Well Actually’s head.
—— canon divergence ——
Well Actually turns quickly, catching the ax in the air, eyes filled with pure rage.
“Anything I do from this moment on is self defense. Roll initiative.”
Glenn scoffs “I'm surprised you went for cheap mall katanas over actually well-made steel.”
“Don't kill him, just get him weak! Just weaken him!” Mark shouts at Glenn.
“I don't know the meaning of weaken.” Dae-ruel grumbles.
“This is a ‘legendary action’.”
Well’s eyes glow white and he glares at Glenn who is unwillingly dragged towards him by an unseen force. Well unsheathes his blade.
“Actually, I think you're going to find out just how good mall steel can be.”
Glenn rolls his eyes “Yeah, sure. Go for it, dude.”
“Well, you know for somebody who studied the blade, I think you got kind of wimpy arms. It doesn't look like you're actually, y’know, been in fights or anything. Maybe you watch them on YouTube or whatever, but like... you don't look like you actually know what you're doing there.” Ron shouts.
“Oh, you just wait until one more person takes their turn. Then you'll see how good I am with swords.”
Jodie closes some of the distance between them, casting Magic circle around Glenn and Well. Well growls in irritation.
“I was about to-“ his eyes glow again and he hits Jodie with a slowing beam.
“Agh! Dang it! Can't believe I'm doing! This-!” Jodie points a hand at Glenn and casts sanctuary as his bonus action.
Well scoffs. “You think I won’t beat a wisdom saving throw? Ridiculous. Nothing Personal, Kid.”
He runs his katana directly through Glenn’s abdomen. His eyes glowing again as he hits Glenn with disintegration ray.
Glenn panics as his hands start to turn to a dust. “Uh guys?! I think I’m in trouble!”
Henry gasps and Well’s attention turns to him, laying down a negative energy cone. Well Actually hits Henry with a petrification ray, gray stone slowly overtaking Henry’s legs and climbing up his body.
Dae-ruel charges at Well Actually, grabbing him and pinning his arms down at his sides
“Jodie! Do it now!”
“Mark, what's his birthday?” Jodie rushes forward putting his hand directly on Well’s face.
“January 12th!” Mark keeps his distance but finally looks hopeful about this situation.
“I knew it! You're a fucking Capricorn, and you should know that I love astrology. Did you know that Capricorns are supposed to be nice and hard-working, but truly the biggest part about them that I hate, that you embody to a T? You're smug. You're controlling. You think you're smarter than everybody else. I’ve heard that Capricorns are one of the worst signs to date because of your damn smugness, and you're exactly that!”
Well Actually glares and struggles against the ceremony spell “weird that you’d mention dating Jodie~! No! Hh- I’m not willing! I’m very very UNWILLING!”
He growls and shoves Dae-ruel off of him, eyes glowing again. As Jodie lifts from the ground by an invisible hand around his throat. “ENOUGH! YOU ARE JOKES! ALL OF YOU!” He glares at Ron who’d been sneaking through a pile of books to get closer, hitting him with death ray thrice in a row, turning his attention to Darryl the moment Ron’s body drops to the ground and begins to sink into the seemingly endless pit of hardback covered books.
Glenn turns Henry who’s now stone up to his hips, his own body rapidly disintegrating “what do we do man?! A heal or something?! Just fix this-“
Henry starts to panic, casting cure wounds on Glenn in desperation, tearing up when it has no effect as he watches Glenn fade to nothing. “Darryl?! What do we do?!”
Dae-ruel takes a swing at Well Actually who takes the damage from the hit easily but loses concentration long enough to drop Jodie. “Jodie! Get the kids and get out of here!”
Jodie quickly rushes out of the throne room, back to find Paedon and Nicholas.
“This isn’t going to be fun for you. I’m not going to make this feel nice.” Well Actually barks out a laugh as he charges another round of beams, his katana at Darryl’s throat.
“Did you think this would be easy? That you could bully me to death like the canon suggested?” Darryl doesn’t make the saves, dropping to the ground lifeless and petrification finishes taking over Henry completely.
He turns his attention to Mark “I’m not a joke. I’m not something to be disposed of. Make your move.”
"Aw, dang it. I kind of liked those guys," Mark complains, folding some of his arms. She looks about as upset as someone whose plans have been canceled unexpectedly. "I guess I have to start over."
“Tch. I have plans. Keep out of them.” He sheathes his sword, standing down for now. “You made a pretty large mess with all this.”
"I made a mess!?" Mark exclaimed incredulously. “You're the one who went and got himself killed, then as soon as you came back to life you got cursed into this!" Three arms gesture at Well. She turns around and starts walking out of the throne room. "Didja see which way Jodie went?"
“Why would I tell you?” He frowns. “I’m not cursed. I am significantly improved. Maybe you should get used to that idea.”
Mark pauses and turns his head back to glance at Well Actually.
"I know my big brother," he says confidently. "I can tell he's somewhere in there, waiting to be saved. Scam, don't worry. I'll get Jodie, and find some other people to help me. Worst case scenario, I look for another paladin. No matter what, I won't stop until you're back to yourself."
“Tch, Do not attempt it again Mark, I will defend myself. You’re talking about murdering me. If I have to prevent it myself I will. Do you really want to share the fate of your pawns? We could have been siblings.”
Mark is taken aback by Well's cold words. Scam never spoke like that before.
"We are siblings. And it's not murder. This isn't you! This isn't how you're supposed to be, Scam!" He sighs, and holds two of his hands up. "Look, I know you're confused right now. But we'll fix you, I promise."
“I am not-“ he frowns “I am not Scam Likely anymore! This is my story now- it’s what I deserve!”

Welcome to the Book(Fight)club Au!
A dndads au where things do not go well.
Explanation of Au: canon divergence in which Well Actually won his fight.
Summary: Well Actually decides to properly fight in order to defend himself once Darryl throws his ax. The four main dads do not make it out of the fight, Jodie escaping with Paedon and Nicholas, Mark leaving shortly after.
Two Days later Jodie returns for revenge and loses the fight- he awakens to his demon side in this battle, and Well Actually spares him though he lost. He then swears vengeance on Well, promising he’ll make him suffer before killing him permanently. Jodie sustains several injuries that lead to permanent scars, the most notable being a broken horn.
Without their fathers the anchors deactivate and Jodie gets all of the kids to earth including Paedon who with the anchor now unfunctional remained himself.
Well meddled with Jodie’s final battle against the omega Daddies, protecting the children from all damage and handwaving a lot of damage that should have hit on Jodie.
Nicholas does not awaken to his demonic side and remains on earth with Morgan.
Jodie lives alone in hell planning Well’s assassination.
Mark has made multiple attempts on Well with various groups of adventurers, through both direct assault on book castle and more covert and deceptive methods.
Those adventurers are very gone now.
Mark does not survive his final betrayal.
Naturally being fairly upset with the fact that the only person he’s cared about wants him dead- Well Actually breaks the canon a second time with the intent of giving himself another chance, causing him have access to the (Multi)Versa canon and being forcibly rewritten as a player character instead of a boss monster. (He fixes his sheet back to what it ‘should be’ himself)
Realizing he’ll have a lot of issues if he’s caught for meddling in time, he wipes all damning evidence of anything past Darryl throwing his ax from the metadata of his Canon.
This shatters reality for a brief moment writing those memories onto items instead, which Well keeps hidden.
