Lil Carved Ash Stump is done!! DIMS: 11” Dia. x 18” H Not ready to part w/ this piece yet, but wanted to share... Started on this back in July of 2018. Aside from initially scoring the bottom w/ chainsaw, the rest of rough shaping was all hand chiseled. Didn’t have the tool at the time to smooth it, so I threw it into storage and forgot about it... Eventually I picked up the tool I needed to revisit and finish. Holy Galahad disc by #katools was a game changer! Revisited this cookie coffee table project from about a year ago. The client initially wanted to avoid using bow ties which I thought was doable at the time. Unfortunately, the epoxy started to slowly split... Learned this lesson the hard way and got to work. Installed 5x bow ties on the bottom and 3x on top. Reapplied the epoxy, then lots of sanding and buffing.
