Josie: I relate to Belle because she loves books and likes people for who they are.
Lizzie: I relate to Tinkerbell because she needs attention or she dies.

You said you came back here for a reason. Because deep down, you know that we can bring the good inside of you out. You’re right. I do have a reason. And now i have to ruin the surprise.

Are we really just not gonna talk about everyone’s approach to saving Josie?
I could go full on but I’m just gonna go into the 3 important key players here: Alaric, Lizzie and Hope.
Alaric is the papa bear and as the papa bear he has to protect his cubs. His first instinct was to put Josie away in a box until they could figure out a way to save her aka take all the responsibility into his own hands and not thrusting that Josie could fight her dark side.
Lizzie, who has been described as “selfish” over and over again not even wanting to attempt the merge because the thought of ever losing her sister is as bad as the thought of dying. When the possibility of saving Josie arrived, her immediate thought was that she could never beat Josie in a million years. She looks up to Josie, not just as the sister she loves but as the sister she admires and perfection that she can never reach, in her mind. Lizzie’s views on Josie is one of seeing someone on a pedestal. Just as much as Josie felt like she was in Lizzie’s shadow, Lizzie felt like she could never live up to her sister.
Now Hope… Hope, Hope, Hope! Hope was the only one that throughout this episode NEVER wavered. Her plan in the beginning was her plan in the end. Hope was the only person who believed that our Josie was not only not weak but stronger than Dark Josie. Every time anyone threatened her plan, she legit just yeeted them into fantasy world lmao Because locking Josie in a box or treating her like a monster was never an option because Hope new that the only way to get our Josie back was to have Josie herself fight Dark Josie.
And in here folks, we see the true version of Josie. Not someone that needs protection or someone who should be put on a pedestal. We see the Josie who has a good and dark side and only our Josie can be the one to defeat dark Josie.
Hope was the only on who saw Josie for herself, not Josie the baby daughter, not Josie the perfect sister. Just Josie.
And this folks, is why Hosie is the ultimate OTP!
