It's been a day, I'm exhausted, it was a good day, but I cried badly, I'm trying to regulate my emotions rn bc again... Crazy day, hopefully tomorrow will be as good but without all the crazy, I might take a break from everything and read tonight,,, i need to recharge 😥
I'm glad my friend dragged me to the con (lvl up expo) with her but i wish i had more time to prepare especially after all the financial turmoil April brought, thankfully I was still able to use some cash I saved up and I got some stickers and a picture with Robbie Daymond :)
He's surprisingly short, but I'm also 5'0 so it makes him look taller lmao, I'm glad I had made this imogen cosplay last year, came in a clutch 💀
(the boots did bruise my feet again LOL maybe a sign to not wear them again.... Oops) eventually I can upgrade the cosplay or do the new outfit since I thrifted most of this one, but I can reuse several parts :0

Do you think, based on this concept, drummers could wear noise-canceling headphones to reduce the impact on their ears? And ghouls who are already deaf, wear hearing aids, unless of course the ministry would allocate a budget for this
Damn, now thinking about hearing aids, it would be funny if from time to time, when other ghouls swore at them, the earthlings just turned them off, and then smiled maliciously :)
By the way, what's up with the Swiss?
Haha!! I do think drummers absolutely take precautions, they all (entire band) try to wear ear protection! But mountain also really likes to wear those noise reducing ear buds that are great for noise sensitivity when he's reading or gardening or just going about his practice and chilling.
Deaf siblings of sin (the congregation itself) as well as deaf ghouls do get health benefit allocations ordained by the clergy, anyone above deacon to a bishop can ordain these benefits, usually brought to by an abess or ministress (like a mother superior, or sister imperator) who will be the one to ensure the sibling or ghoul gets their necessary treatments and support.
They DEFINITELY have interpreters for Sign and other means of nonverbal communication! So siblings and ghouls may often have their aids off, usually they will let people know so that they can use different colored flashing lights 🚨 to alert them of different things happening (they also keep a chart in every room for the color of the lights and what it means) as well as making sure there are accomodations for siblings or ghouls who may be deaf-blind or deaf-mute!
Not too long ago I was asked to draw a deaf sister of sin and papa emeritus interaction (and I actually wrote a small comic about it which I have not had the time to finish, but it remains in the back of my mind still, I'll post it eventually!!)
As for swiss... Haha poor boy is alright, I may have just traumatized him a little too much, I gave him all the complex backstory and made him the avoidant type who pretends everything is fine, so he has a bunch of unresolved unprocessed trauma and is prone to breaking down into really bad episodes, but everyone tries their best to help him and care for him as best they can !!! 💗💗💗 He'll be ok I prommy loll

Hello! Could you tell us a little bit about how to find ghouls with disabilities? This topic seems to me quite interesting, considering that I have often wondered why this is so? Why did you decide to choose exactly these or other restrictions for different ghouls? Where did such an idea come from?

I am Happy to answer! This is def not an original idea but I can very easily say it's more so because many people who create content for the fandom struggle with disabilities and chronic illnesses as well.
It kinda depends on the ghouls but for example, dew tends to have joint pains in my opinion, from things like carpal or arthritis, treatable but still annoying, like I do.
Aether struggles with health issues too, and some ghouls need canes, wheelchairs or any such other mobility aids to help them navigate life, it can quite literally range from a knee brace to wheelchair depending on the day.
Others like rain, might struggle more with stuff like hypermobility, eds and pots adjacent issues.
Some ghouls, especially the drummers, can sometimes be deaf/hard of hearing or struggle with hearing loss over time. Also joint pain.
Why? Music is a tough thing to do, often times you strain your body a lot, standing for long periods of time, jumping, and doing all sorts of crazy stuff, so overtime the ghouls might need specific care or help to keep healthy and in shape.
Sure they may be demons, but the fun part about them is using them as a way to project your own ideas, feelings, and self-expression onto them. Ghouls who need glasses and are partially blind, like omega, or ghouls who are in perfect shape might still need a bit of love and care sometimes, I think that's originally where it came from!
Personally a lot of my ghouls are a projection of myself and my experiences, hence why dew, rain, alpha, and swiss the brunt of it all the time lol. Don't ask those guys about their trauma It'll take me 73 hours to explain the beginning only !!

Have this D&D character concept I've had saved up for a while !
The lore:
It was a joke from March, since my changeling turned into "mini-thara" from Baldurs gate 3, but as a deep gnome instead of a drow, and then we joked that my next character should be minithara but with a superhero backstory, so I made her daredevil inspired.
She's a blind shadow monk!! When the drows took mithrall hall she managed to escape by killing a drow priestess who cast daylight directly onto her eyes, causing her to lose 80% of her vision! She's extremely sensitive to light, and can only see in shades of gray, but everything is a blur regardless. She has no depth perception, only shades of light.
She's really cool from what I've been able to play her, I hope to do her justice if I ever do main her, but lmk if you have any questions about her lore, I'm working on it :3
