LMAO I'M GLAD and same tbf. when i first finished kiwami 1 back in 2021 the first thing i did was look up how different it was from the original game and i've been wanting to play ps2 y1 ever since but only got around to it now. started yesterday and the game IS super enjoyable, i'm having a blast.
the only negative thing i have to say is that apparently there's no mahjong parlor and i feel immensely betrayed by this
my guy has some range
#the combat threw me for a loop at first because while the fights aren't hard i could NOT for the life of me pull off any heat actions#my whole heat bar would just evaporate in 2 seconds before i could do anything#everything got exponentially better after a few skill upgrades though

i'm planning a yakuza fanfic i really want to write and things are getting out of hand real fast.
the AU was originally only supposed to span Y:LaD but now the story is stretching and i just had an idea that would cover infinite wealth's plot too and. god. help me. i'm but a college student i do not have the time to be writing these 150k+ stories about the blorbos from my games finding happiness
still gonna do it though

by far one of my favorite deranged moments i ran across in iw was when i was walking around the city and found one of the things where you can buy gifts to your party members and it was a bucket. just a whole ass empty plastic bucket. and ichiban was like "i think one of my friends would like this bucket!"
so i give it to nanba, my reasoning being that we see him carrying a bucket *once* in LaD, and his reaction was basically "oh hELL YEAH HOW'D YOU KNOW I WANTED A BUCKET"
their shared braincell was strong in this one
