her development /part II.
as she becomes more human, her reproductive organs begin to come alive thus resulting in her first menstruation at age 19. as i mentioned before, many people of the church had referred to luna as “the maiden who never bleeds”: it was a name meant to symbolize her purported status as the archangel of death which can never give life. of course, humans do not know of her latent humanity...
in any case, the very sight of blood on her person causes her immediate distress ( especially coming from a place she normally thought to be dormant ) & her anxiety goes up significantly. having never experienced this before, more than likely she’d tearfully latch onto anyone nearby to help her. she would need an explanation, reassurance & be taught the proper procedures in this type of situation. it is a completely normal experience that luna has no clue about.
for all of her wisdom, in the end, she is but a naive, innocent girl with no true guidance on adulthood.

development / her growth.
— luna is.... a complicated case when it comes to the act of carnal pleasure. she was not raised as a normal human girl & as such, she received little to no proper explanation on how physical relationships work. there is knowledge of the technical info ( this goes in that, etc etc. ) & the overall female reproduction cycle but it means very little to her considering well, i mean... she was given a mission and relating to humans wasn’t on her list of plans. anyways, i have written about how she steadily becomes more human by staying & developing bonds with others & that includes physically as well. the areas of her body which were normally unresponsive to stimulation or alluring thoughts have become sensitive ( breasts, thighs & there ).
also for the longest time, she was known by certain members of etro’s church to be “the maiden who never bleeds” and by that, i am referring to her menstrual cycle. her very being is very much like a spirit and yet, she is given human, tactile form - this state was caused by etro taking her as a newborn and in essence, killing a part of her to become one with the gate. she is a ghost but not... so, her body doesn’t conform to the normal standards of other young women. but back to the earlier point, once she stays and begins to love humanity, it’s as if the chains of vahalla are releasing her and making luna as she was supposed to be. her period starts ( which scares her to bits but that’s for another time ) & the usual feelings that come with many infatuations occur. from what was once innocent adoration, now comes with dark alluring sensations that confused her.
