When Stede Bonnet, a staff scientist with the CDC, alerts the WHO to a possible disease outbreak in the United States, Ed's team is sent to look into it. As far as first impressions go, Ed thinks that Stede's an incompetent idiot, and Stede is convinced that Ed's an arrogant ass. They're in a race to figure out what the virus is, where it came from, and how to stop it - a task that's made more difficult when the hosts of a popular YouTube conspiracy theory channel claim that the virus was created in a lab and released on purpose. But just because something is a conspiracy, that doesn't mean it isn't true.
