I really just spent like an hour trying to get my taskbar to show icons and nothing working just for this b*tch to randomly start working again... Anyway, I just wanted to check in, because I had a busy weekend and wasn’t able to be here and also this week work is going to be a lot and I don’t have a day off until Saturday, so if I’m not here that’s why.

Seriously, for someone who was so well trained and for years was believed to be nothing but a ghost story, it was almost ridiculously easy for Natasha to get into his apartment. Although a quick glance let her knew he didn’t seem to be too attached to the place. Barely anything personal anywhere. Actually barely anything anywhere. This man didn’t even have a proper bed. For fuck’s sake, she thought with a shake of her head as she lightly tapped his side with her foot and quickly took a step back. It was already bold of her to get into his place unannounced, waking him up definitely didn’t help the situation, so it was safer to keep a distance.
“Sorry to wake your from your beauty sleep.” There was a slight smirk tugging on the corners of her lips. “You know you’re not on a constant run anymore? You can build a life, allow yourself some basic luxury. Like a bed with a good mattress. An old man like you should actually know to appreciate the importance of a good mattress.” She kept it lighthearted but as she turned around to pick up a few things to observe her tone got more serious. “Also helps to get at least a couple nice minutes of sleep between the plaguing nightmares.” Bucky didn’t tell her about any nightmares, but he didn’t need to. She knew. “Before you make a trip to IKEA, I need some help though.” She turned back to him, her gaze searching for the familiar blue eyes.

Natasha was waiting for Kate to arrive at the cafe where she set up their meeting. It wasn’t too busy, so she would still be able to keep an eye on everyone who was there - just in case. But it also wasn’t too quite, so they wouldn’t attract too much attention either. While she was waiting her attention got captured by a pair of young men - probably in their early twenties -, who were much less subtle about their business of exchanging money and some substances. They were trying too much to act nonchalant. The redhead let out a huff and with an eye roll diverted her attention to the street. Kate should show up soon.
She took a sip of her coffee and just as she was lowering her cup down, a familiar face caught her attention.”Hope you didn’t get into any trouble on your way here.” Something her favorite archer ended up doing more often than not and considering the relationship between him and Kate... it was not a far fetched concern of hers. With her hand she gestured towards the empty seat across from her. “I suppose you figured out I didn’t just invite you here to catch up. I need your help.”
