#of the ones I recognize nightfall and soft rains are what have really stuck with me#tho in the latter case probably the poem even moreso#we read it in class as part of thing about poetry from the war and I found the story after#some of the others I do remember reading for school#but like by that time I'd already read enough other stuff along those lines that it didn't really have much of an impact on me#I remember specifically people going crazy over by the waters of babylon bc it was like the first real post apocalyptic thing they'd read

#tbh I use mapping apps in much the same way I use paper maps#like I'll search for a destination and use gps to get my location#but usually do actually navigation myself#unless it's something complex that I'm very unfamiliar with#also I do still use paper maps#sometimes where it's more practical like for extremely specific hiking trails#especially if it's somewhere I don't want to be running down a battery unnecessarily#but like even just normal road maps too

after several discussions that left me baffled, let me throw this out to the masses: do you look at ao3's icons when you're looking for a fic to read?
#I know what they mean but they're usually either redundant due to search terms#or provide too little information to be useful#I'll automatically just look at the summary and word/chapter counts first#sometimes I'll use the relationship one as a sort of quick visual filter#if I don't want to bother inputting proper search terms or if I don't want to search too narrowly in smaller fandoms#mostly I like how they visually break up the page kinda acting on the same way as a cover thumbnail or author avatar would

Another AO3 app that's pretending to be official when it's not (or at least isn't making it clear its unofficial.) They're using AO3's name and logo, and embedding ads.
There is no official AO3 app
Someone else is gathering your data, potentially your log in information etc and making use of it how they please. (They say they're not but their privacy policy says otherwise)
They are making money from the ads without the fic writer's consent.
They've also rated it Pegi 3 (which is ludicrous)
Please, even if you care about nothing else, for the safety of your data, please don't use this app. Certainly don't give it your AO3 log in details.
I've told AO3 that it's infringing on its copyright. I will be requesting they remove access of my work as I do not consent to my creative content being used to generate ad revenue for them.
I will be reporting it as incorrectly rated.
The only email address I can find is [email protected] which is included in their privacy policy, and [email protected] as their developer.
