Hello Böle goers!!!

So i printed out 50 yarnrijäs today 😭 I can't really make bracelets cause uhhh ocd reasons but I really wanted to bring something so I whipped out these guys <3

I'll be hanging around the queue with them (and yarnrijä himself!!!) so don't be afraid to hmu! I'll be carrying around a 40 cm tall crochet doll so it's probably not gonna be too hard to see me hahah

3. Your favourite piece?

Omg good question, it's probably this one honestly I'm super proud of it

I don't use a lot of pinks and yellows when I draw, so it was quite unusual for me. I'm also happy with the texture I achieved there as well. The beard gave me a lot of trouble, but it was worth it!!

4. Piece you wish got more love?

Honestly none. All the stuff I've posted in this fandom is my best art yet, and they all got the attention I felt I wanted them to have 💚 because this fandom is just so amazing

24. What's a compliment about your art that has always stuck with you?

Not a compliment per se, but in art school I had a notoriously incomprehensible teacher. He was a fantastic artist, but he could NOT explain anything lol (actual comments from him: "it needs zing", "I'd like it to have extra bacon", "Ping pang poug!" ). He was also famous to not give grades above 75%. The only realistic portrait assignment we had, I got extra tips from him, and I got a really amazing grade. I knew I had found my stuff hahaha (it was a trad portrait of my grandma 🥰)

35. If you had one piece of advice to give your younger artist self, what would it be?

Don't be so hard on yourself in the first week of art school. You'll never regain the mobility you have now. Do you know how fun it is to draw pain free? Don't do it. Do the assignment half-assed, it doesn't even count for your grade. That stupid flipbook isn't worth your hands

I cannot stay silent. Boots. You cannot buy cheap boots new! They will need repairs every 3 months until they disintegrate after 1.5 years. Thrift your boots. If they are the wrong color, that just means you have painting to do! Thrift, or buy from an army surplus store. Best value you can find there, sadly.

Do not fear leather. You can love any leather back to good health with coconut oil. You can color it with food coloring. Leather is beautiful and good. Real leather looks upon pleather the way a sequia sees a gnat. Real leather can outlive you.

#it's really a shame that pleather just doesn't last #but i don't mind thrifted leather or fur #the item already exists and will not encourage the company to make more
