Holiday Style - Bali.
Last time I planned my holiday attire it was for my honeymoon.
I was channelling J-Lo. On a yacht. Glowy skin. Holiday tan. Dressed in white.
Y'know. That kinda thing.
I ended up with a coldsore and the worst sunburn I'd ever had.
My husband had the flu.
It was so romantic.
I don't know that I've ever looked worse. Although, if you know a time, don't tell me.
This time, we are off on our first ever family holiday.
We are keeping it contained and hitting the Island of The Gods. We will be partying until 7pm. Every night.
Well, Arkie goes to bed at 7pm. So I can only assume I'll be in bed at 7.30pm and my baby daddy will come to bed around 11.30pm, after falling asleep on the couch at 7.36pm.
That's just a prediction.
Back to my wardrobe. Which of course is a timeless and elegant, holiday style capsule wardrobe.
I won't be caught in denim shorts and a hoody. This time.
There are a couple of items which have prompted my holiday outfit planning extravaganza. They are beaded, textured, printed and awesome. And fair trade.

I feel like I don't reeeeealllly need to say much more. These and a bikini are enough to make your holiday wardrobe go off with a bang.
In addition to the stack above, I've packed - yes, already packed - the White Basecamp Maasai necklace, Hmong Hill Tribe Cross Body Bag and the Gold Citrine Thread Earrings (pictured below).
Each beautiful, hand crafted item is sourced from Thailand, Peru, Kenya, Bali or Guatemala. Oh, and some are even hand made in Sydney.
One dollar form every purchase is donated to Kiva.org. Another reason to accessorise.
Awesome.
Look out for pictures of me holidaying in perfectly accessorised bliss.
Actually, maybe don't. You might not want to see me in a bikini just yet.

My New Life. My New Essentials.
It's safe to say that no matter what stage you're at, parenting always feels new. Or, heaven forbid, you think you've got it nailed, something changes. Drastically.
Five and a bit months in, and I'm firmly in limbo between the person that I was and the person that I am now.
I'm definitely the same person I was before I had my little lady.
But on the other hand, I couldn't be more different.
It makes absolutely no sense. But it does.
It's all making me a bit cross eyed. Imagine how my husband feels.
Luckily for me I've always had quite a relaxed style. If you could call it a "style".
I can't imagine what a shock to the system motherhood could be for anyone who wouldn't be caught dead in flats. I believe they might need counselling.
These are my five absolute essentials for the "new" me. With a dash of the old me.
MOO GOO FULL CREAM & MILK WASH
Anyone who has ever met me, or read this blog, knows I love Moo Goo. But at this point in my life, I've taken it to the next level.
I need multi purpose products. And I don't mean a 2-in1 shampoo and conditioner. Ever.
That's not even funny.
Milk Wash is a cleanser and body wash. And I swear by it. Being able to use one product for two things is pretty much the new black. Obviously.
And then there's Full Cream. I was super dooper skeptical when I read such a product could be used on the face and the body. I may have even laughed. How ridiculous. And brilliant.
And now I couldn't live without it.
I practically look like a teenager.
Practically.
Close. Ish.
BOYFRIEND JEANS
Thank god for boyfriend jeans. My new love.
Although I did love them a year or so ago, now I adore, covet and pray to the god of boyfriend jeans.
They're comfy, practical and they are track suit pants in disguise.
These ones from Sass & Bide are brilliant. I have some from a previous season. And they really float my boat.
NOTEBOOKS
In all honesty, pregnancy kills a lot of your braincells. Mainly just the ones linked to remembering anything.
That brain power is pretty good to have for day to day life.
So, writing things down is key.
If you can remember to.
When I do, I write everything down in one of these cute notebooks from Ask Alice Stationary.
Not only are they incredibly cute, they're are light, and they are seven dollars.
Seven.
Dollars.
They're practically giving them away.
This one is my favourite.
Mine reads like I imagine Oscar Wilde's would have.
I've just added page after page of grocery items and lists of things that need soaking.
A lot of things need soaking.
COFFEE
Very fortunately for me, my husband whizzes up a mean latte. And when I say "mean latte" I am suggesting it's cafe quality, if not better. Today my latte art was a volcano with smoke coming out.
At least, that's what we agreed it was.
For the times he's at work early/away/cutting his nails/vacuuming the lawn, I head to Story.
They make the day a whole lot better in times of need. Or even when you just want a coffee.
MASCARA
This one is the old me, through and through. And one part of me that's stayed completely concrete with the merging of the old and new me.
It's the cornerstone of the latest trend in makeup and motherhood.
It's called looking "alive". Or as I like to call it "Three Hours Sleep And Still Looking Fab".
You choose.
I've never found a product in the mascara category that could outdo M.A.C. Their mascaras really make my day. And I have tried so many.
I am now in a completely monogamous relationship with M.A.C.
The thought of cheating wouldn't even cross my mind.
Haute & Naughty is my favourite. The name is completely bizarre, but so are a lot of things in life.
Get over it.
So with all these powers combined, I am the new me.
The Mummy Me.
Who definitely has mascara on.
And a latte.
And a very large number of things soaking in the laundry.
