Steve wakes up and feels weird. His bedroom isn’t his bedroom anymore. He takes another look.
It is his bedroom. Of his parents’ house back in Hawkins. He is back in his old bedroom. The house is empty. Everything looks odd.
He turns on the TV. Will Byers has gone missing. He stumbles outside the door and picks up the newspaper. November 6th, 1983.
He’s gone back in time somehow. 15 years backwards. To the first day it all started.
Steve crumbles the newspapers in his hand and decides this time he’s going to fix everything.
Including saving his soulmate from his death 13 years ago

remember back in s1 of stranger things when i just accepted the show as is cuz it was great and i didnt need to bother thinking about anything other than what was presented to me but then season 2 happened and gay trashlord billiam hargrove stepped on the scene openly flirting with steven harrington and like now i gotta sit here and read fanfics til 3 oclock in the morning to get my kicks because the duffer brothers are gonna let me down and either make billy worse or kill him off or both and i just cant live that life

People still ship billy with Steve in 2024?? Not hate just haven’t seen it in forever
yes!! many of us do!! it’s been the #1 Stranger Things ship for years 🥰 there are still dozens of events every year for the ship, dedicated harringrove blogs, talented artists and writers creating art and fics, people collaborating, creating fundraisers for important causes, etc! it’s still very active after 7 years and continues to go strong 🤍 i’m very happy to be a small part of it!!

sometimes fandom seems to struggle with the concept that...people can be kind/"good people" in some situations and very very not kind/not "good people" in others.
I feel like there's this urge to either write off the positive behavior as "fake" or to find a way to ignore/explain away/write out the negative behavior. and I personally find this really really irritating in both directions, actually

Are we ever gonna talk about the fact that Billy straight up lied to Neil and Susan about Max's whereabouts, even though he knew full well she was off somewhere with Lucas?
He literally told Karen he went to Lucas's house first because he thought she was there. But he lied to Neil and said he didn't know where she went, even though he had a good idea of where she would be.
Susan's child is missing, she's clearly worried, and he deliberately withheld information.
This is the face of man who is about to lie.
"I'm sure she just, I dunno, went to the arcade or something. I'm sure she's fine."
You know where she is. And you're covering it up.
And he wasn't even concerned. He only got mad because it caused him problems.
I'm sure he was protecting himself and Max at that moment, Not only did he withhold information, he didn't bother to cooperate with Neil and Susan in any way that would help them find Max either.
