Fireworks erupted overtop the city's centre where the giant hole usually could be found. Except now it was filled with a huge stadium! When had that happened!? As was often tradition in Spirale, plenty early risers would have their beauty sleep disturbed by the blaring of an announcement over the electronic devices in their possession.
"That's right, Jonathan! This is an exciting year for the Spirale Games! Well it's the first year, but that's what makes it so exciting!" Anything with a screen would have displayed video of Ofiuco's android body sitting at a sportscasting desk. But there was no one else present so who was she talking to? "We have a number of exciting events for teams to sign up for and we can't wait to see you out there!"
Of course the implication was that if they didn't see them out there then those who didn't participate wouldn't be reaping any of the rewards!

Welcome to our April / May event, the Spiral Games! As you can imagine we've taken inspiration from major sporting events, but this is closer to a celebration of many different skills and only some of the events are based on athleticism! You can find a full list of the events here so that this post isn't too cluttered!
So how is everything going to work?
Characters can participate in some events alone, but we encourage everyone to form teams of up to four characters! All of the team members don't need to participate in every thread if you don't want to but the option is there if you'd like! Teams will have no bearing on rewards (but it will make them easier) so there also isn't a limit of how many teams a character can be in to prevent a scenario where some characters are let out just because some people made teams early on.
If you would like to, you can give your team a name and even design a logo!
On the event list page you can see a list of events and the rewards you can earn from participating! Rewards can only be claimed by the team members who participate, so if you choose to do a one person drabble then only you get those rewards!
You can participate in as many events as you want, but the amount of Stars one character can earn from the event is capped at 500 Stars. This does not include the regular amount you get for event participation.
There will also be an unlock reward for this event, however there is a stipulation to this. In order to claim the unlock you must write at least 300 words with at least one character on your account that your muse has yet to interact with. So long as the thread is event related it will count, which is where teams could certainly help!

"ALRIGHT!!! ALRIGHT ALRIGHT alright..!!!" Spamton nervously laughs, getting his nerves back under control to better follow Brad's instruction. He readjusts his stance once more and plants his feet more firmly, shifting his right foot to a placement behind the other,
"Dunno, [Big Guy]..." It all feels kind of silly, he can feel the tension in his own fist and how the plastic seems so fragile despite knowing how sturdy he is.
He watches Brad's demonstration, then mimics him, getting a feel for the technique, "Not much of a [Brick [$#!%]house], y'know??" He tries again, putting a little more effort into his swing and swiveling his hip joints.
Brad only barely muffles a frustrated noise, also turning red, like embarrassment's spreading through the air now.
"Quit making it awkward-! Just... Look," Brad huffs softly and steels himself, and takes a gentle hold of Spamton's arm, pulling him through the motions of an uppercut punch.
"Think of it as... Same as punching regular, but it really starts in your legs... You have to make sure you have a real solid stance... feet 'bout shoulder-width apart. Your dominant foot goes slightly behind the other," teacher mode fully activated, Brad nudges Spamton's leg again, "...you have to be okay with shifting your weight to your back foot, and do a little... Bend your knees a bit."
There is absolutely no way Brad is going to gently put his hands on Spamton's to demonstrate that last bit, though - He releases the puppet after that, and steps beside him, miming the movement slowly and then looking at him expectantly.
"Even a small guy like you can produce a lot of power, if you kinda just... Let yourself move into it, allow yourself to rotate your hips the direction you're hitting..."

Trying to figure out any sort of meaningful ‘Lore’ off the Spamton Value Network is almost certainly a fool’s errand, but I do think it might be useful in terms of analyzing Spamton’s character. Cause yeah, none of this actually happened in the canon of the game… but it’s still what Canon Spamton would have done.
If Spamton canonically got this sudden windfall of popularity, influence and love - he would’ve used up that opportunity the same way. He would’ve tried selling shoddy merchandise, he would’ve built a TV Webcast Shopping Network/Cult dedicated entirely to scamming people and worshipping him.
It would be nice to imagine that if Spamton got to experience another chance at being a [[BIG SHOT]], and one that’s actually built on actual genuine love and sympathy for him at that, rather than just [[HOT SALES!!]] - he would actually use it in a better, more constructive way. But that’s… well, that’s the essence of Spamton’s whole tragedy.
Spamton’s is a Darkner representation of Spam-Email, it is literally part of his essence to be a skivvy immoral scam-artist. That’s what his puppet strings are always guiding him towards, that’s the existential nightmare he tired so hard to escape from, the freedom from this fate is the [[Heaven]] he was looking for. Even though he was only able to try and escape it within the confines of Spam-Mails, all scams and deals and BIG SHOTs.
No one can choose who they are in this world, and Spamton can’t choose to not be the kind of person who, if given the opportunity, would kidnap famed Internet personality wayneradiotv.
