And now for something completely different. Henry was born three years ago today. I barely remember the Time Before. He is using more language, developing his tastes (he loves avacado and pineapple anything), and becoming a real boy. He is magnificent. We got fresh family portraits for the occasion. Let me tell you, I am not a fan of cramped spaces with a lot of people, and I do not regulate my body temperature when I get overwhelmed. We made it through though. And with spectacular results! His regalness, Horatio, was assisted across the rainbow bridge yesterday evening. Bornt in the woods of Kentucky (probably), he "just came runnin' out" one day, and into the arms of some random meth-lovin' Kentuckian who decided to throw two more kittens into their unwashed caravan.. I found Horatio, and Haberdash, in East Mesa, in a trailer full of animals. I was supposed to pay money for them, but they were both so full of ear mites and parasites I knew I'd need that money to help them.. The first night, both kitties broke out of the apartment throw a window screen after destroying my tomoto seedling greenhouse. Horatio only made it to just below the window, paralyzed with fear of the outside world. Picking him up, I suggested that he COULD just be my kitty, should he choose that. He chose, in time, to be my kitty. He had a wart on his right ear. His left paw had benign grows. He slept on my head, like a Russian hat. His belly pouch hung even before he gained weight, SWANGIN'. I procured a Jericho/Resurrection Rose/Flower. Whichever name you prefer, I am happy to be it's caregiver, because it is a beautiful beast. In the first picture, the plant is all dried and curled up at 2pm yesterday, nearly the size of a softball.
