BG3 just reminded me of how good Dragon Age: Origins is honestly
it might be an older game but I swear it's superior
it's been like over 10 yrs since I first played it and I still consider it to be the best narrative RPG that's ever been made
romances on point
story on point
world actually changes with your choices
who your character is actually impacts your experience in a big way and isn't just there for background flavour
a bunch of different endings and they're all narratively satisfying
the villains/grey morality characters you can side with actually have complicated motivations to the point that people still debate about them to this day
the only reason I'm not jumping into a nostalgia playthrough rn is because I know the other DA sequels are mid in comparison
sometimes I replay DAI for the romances tho
the entire time I was playing BG3 I just kept thinking, wow they really want to be da:o

also my position is extremely clear cut. if you have to write an essay about it when I barely said a word, that just shows how unjustifiable your position is fr
me: we should respect boundaries in every situation. I don't believe in making up excuses to disrespect a boundary. that's toxic
these idiots: LISTEN TO ALL MY EXCUSES FOR WHEN AND WHY I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DISRESPECT BOUNDARIES
the lack of self awareness is amazing

also lol "unpopularfanopinion" and all their opinions are the most popular and least compassionate fan opinions that everyone else has in this blue hell
the fact "hey we should just respect boundaries and move on with our lives even when it's hard" is a controversial stance here :|

sorry I legit don't have patience for people trying to force me into a debate about behaviour I've made clear is extremely uncomfortable and weird for me lol. I genuinely believe there's something deeply wrong with the people fighting so hard for the position of "I should be able to disrespect boundaries if my feefees are hurt". I don't want to talk to those kinds of people. I don't want them around me. I see no need to explain myself to them because I understand their warped minds will never understand what I'm telling them
all people like that see is "well *I* was slighted and *I* want this and *I* feel this way and *I* *I* *I* *I*"
it doesn't even occur to those people that I'm not defending myself in this argument. I have no kink or fic related boundaries. I don't feel the need for them. Evrytime I talk on this subject people assume I'm speaking from a personal place. I'm not. I'm worried about teenagers/kids, mentally ill people, and people with social difficulties who are basically bullied by fandom for stupid shit like having an angry DNI that pissed some no-life off because their whole life revolves around fucking shipping discourse on tumblr
I've dealt with a lot of people like that in fandom and they were always incredibly toxic in their personal lives too. I'm not exposing myself to that insanity again thanks

man shut the fuck up. all you're doing is repeating yourself. I've made my position clear. people like you make fandom unsafe. gtfo my blog and go back to reblogging posts about how we should be sympathetic to pedophiles
I try to stay out of fandom discourse but it's really not great how some of you are offended by a request of boundaries, and try to act like it's an attack or threat on yourself
someone politely asking certain people to DNI with their stuff, whether it's on social media or AO3 or whatever, is perfectly normal
it's called setting a boundary. there's no way that boundary can always be enforced, obviously, but that's not the point of requesting a boundary? if anything, if someone requests a boundary and you ignore it, and tell them that's not allowed, and tell them that just the request in itself is disrespectful towards YOU because you feel more entitled to the platform than them...
that's uh...very toxic, guys...please reconsider this behaviour...
imagine a scenario where you're having lunch with a friend and you ask them not to do something (touch your phone, touch you, touch your food, talk about something triggering- whatever)
and they respond by beginning to scream at you that you're in a public place having lunch so you're not allowed to have boundaries, and that if you want boundaries you have to go sit alone in your room with no contact with other people, because being in a public place means you can do or say whatever you want
you would probably call that person toxic and leave the situation. but it's unironically the state of AO3 DNI discourse

the Astarion fans have appeared to assure me that he isn't prioritised by the devs and game when he has 12 hrs of content which is still 1 more (rounded up) hour than Shadowheart does and 4 hours more than the least developed origin character does. (Wyll has 8 hrs :| )

This is all irrelevant because the block button fucking exists. What do you think you're accomplishing by ignoring someone's boundary because they were rude about it? You're literally making fandom worse and adding to the drama. Stop trying to intellectually justify being a prick and just leave people who dislike you anyway, alone.
This is shit that CHILDREN learn in pre-school but grown ass people in fandom can't understand. You really think you're entitled to something just because it exists in a fandom space lol.
on a side note, "you can have boundaries but you have to be super nicies to me about it" is creepy as fuck. get over yourself.

I was bored and going through old posts and the fact there is a non-insignificant amount of people in fandom who feel the need to write essays about how they should be allowed to disrespect boundaries because they feel entitled to everything and anyone in a fandom space, is insanely toxic
if you're one of those people please fuck off from my blog lol
I genuinely consider it to be a red flag and that you are deeply unwell

It would have made more sense if whenever Stede and Ed stayed on land, Izzy became the new captain of the Revenge. As a parallel to season 1, except this time he has the crew's trust and is ready to take on the position without Blackbeard. THAT is what they could have done with his character development instead of throwing it away for a cheap emotional scene. Like he could have still been gravely injured so he and Ed could have that heart to heart but actually killing him was just unnecessary

no offense but I'm not even attracted to Astarion like that so it gets really annoying how the devs basically force him onto you lol
edit: I'm not gonna just not recruit Astarion I am actively going to kill him now because people are mad about this post

Stardew Valley modding: drag the mod into the mod folder :)
Skyrim Modding: install these 7 base mods, make sure to use the out-of-date versions so your game doesn't break, run 2 different programs before your play with the mod on, make a blood sacrifice just to make sure it works, but it might not work anyway lol
