The way that MGS turns you into a fucking sleeper agent, but like for dumb shit. I'll be talking, having a normal conversation, and me or someone else will say "liquid" and I suddenly have to cut the conversation off mid-sentence to shout "LIQUIIIIIID!". This game has ruined me, in little, stupid ways like that.

biggest small change they made in the show was changing ājaime lannister sends his regardsā to āthe lannisters send their regardsā which simultaneously changes nothing (because they donāt do lady stoneheart) and the entire meaning of the line. the lannisters were involved in the red wedding the line is just true now and itās still cruel but the specific pointed cruelty of the original line was that catelyn died thinking that it was her fault, that sheād been tricked into an oath with the most notorious oathbreaker in the world in hope of saving her daughters and it killed her son. bolton knows she released jaime against robbās wishes he knows the implication that jaime then arranged for her and robbās deaths is the single most horrific idea he could give her in her dying moments
#it also plays into the theme of jaime being held responsible for bigger things than what he actually does#like killing aerys (he did do that) in order to seize the throne (never even crossed his mind in the final version of asoiaf)#but the show was never interested in jaimeās character and its themes the way george is#(this is true for most characters)#asoiaf#jaime lannister#game of thrones#q
