Most dreams never took anyone far beyond the boundaries. They were simple things, even when they got strange or scary, and might take and mix all kinds of elements from the heart’s experience, but those experiences were all from within the bounds of the worlds.

Dreams that reached into the far past, to a worlds-tearing cataclysm and the heart’s own transition into death? Those would do it.

Let’s try this thing.

By default, KH muses that aren’t the Foretellers/MoM will be meeting Vana as they pass through some kind of transitionary point “outside” the normal worlds - at a point when they are lost hearts in limbo, during dives into the heart, or even just sleep - I’ll try to pick something appropriate unless you request some specific secanrio (please do!).

OCs though, please hmu to arrange what exactly is going to be going on.

Quick rules update after going through followers to this effect:

This blog will be reasonably sfw, but as a sideblog to a main that gets very dark I ask that anyone desiring a follow back has a clear statement that the mun is over 18 somewhere easy to find on their blog. The figure, perched on the white stones jutting out of infinite sea and sky, shrugged.

“You’ll make the same mistakes anyway. Or… let’s just say that the same events will happen. They’ve been seen. They can’t be unseen.”

This place was full of melancholy. Fears, regrets, the endless wishes that things had not turned out the way they had. That something could have happened differently. The whole and happy passed through for the briefest of moments and the lost and broken lingered. But it was not quite damnation.

“In the natural order of things, the answer is… you forget. Everything you felt, learnt, experienced, all the memories from before you went forward will be erased. The faint etchings remain on your heart, but that is it.”

“If I… forget… I will just make the same mistakes I did as before I left. Won’t I?” He swallows. “I’ll be cruel. Ungrateful. I’m scared of that most of all.”

“… Isn’t there some way? For me to remember?”

“Please. Memory has never been my strong suit…”

Anger was the first emotion he had felt. The sadism from it had fueled him for years… There was satisfaction in anger. And then there was Nothing.

All the years of his existence… and he finally felt loneliness, just in time for it to be too late.

Now, he has to return. Face what he’s done both before and after he’s done it. It’s a second chance—but it’s far too late to matter.

“I… feel….”

“Scared.”

“You seem to understand this world far better than I. How can I… face them now?”
