“I got accepted, into that writing school I applied to.”
Dinner’s content silence was shattered by Techno’s announcement. So harshly that Tommy dropped his fork and Phil choked on his drink.
And Wilbur? Wilbur felt his heart drop into his stomach.
Phil cleared his throat, awkwardly setting down his cup to stare at Techno with wide eyes. “W-When did- when do you- I mean-“
Techno stayed quiet, waiting for him to process it all.
And when he did, he beamed. “Techno that’s fantastic! I’m so proud of you!” Phil all but jumped out of his chair in favor of hurrying around the table to hug him.
“Wait, wait, wait, you got accepted into the writing school? As in the one in the US?” Tommy sputtered.
“Yep. All the details are still being worked out, but yeah I’m good to go.” Techno explained simply.
He kept glancing at Wilbur, obviously expecting him to say something.
But Wilbur felt a lump in his throat, keeping his words down.
Phil hugged Techno tightly, grinning wide. “This is so exciting. We need to celebrate! Oh my goodness, we should have cake! A PINK cake!”
Techno lightly protested, insisting Phil didn’t have to make such a big fuss, but his smile gave him away.
He was happy.
He was happy to be leaving.
Happy to be leaving Wilbur.
Three weeks.
Techno would be in another country in three weeks and Wilbur was barely holding it together.
Phil and Tommy had no problem showing how sad they were, because they were also proud and were ready to let go when the time came. They could cry and also smile.
Wilbur could not.
How could he ever? How was he supposed to just let go of his brother? His twin? His other half?
The two of them had been together since the day they were born. They shared a room, grew up with bunkbeds, had similar routines, shared classes in school; they were inseparable.
Or at least they used to be.
Wilbur knew this day would come. Twins couldn’t stay together forever, after all. They had to have their own lives.
But…he just thought, even if they had to be apart, it would only be by like maybe ten minutes tops. Whenever Wilbur thought about his future, Techno was in it. Whether as a roommate or neighbor.
He just couldn’t believe Techno could leave without a hint of regret. He didn’t even seem sad.
“Why would he be sad? He just got into the school of his dreams.” Tommy pointed out dryly when Wilbur vented to him one evening while washing the dishes together.
“I just thought…I don’t know, he’d be both? Happy and sad?” Wilbur explained softly. “But he’s already started packing, Tommy. He’s ready to leave.”
Tommy looked down, scrubbing at a plate. “…I’m gonna miss him. It’ll be weird without him around to lecture me about dumb things.”
“…He’ll come back.” Wilbur said, more to himself than to Tommy.
Phil knew Wilbur was struggling, you’d have to be blind not to see it.
But he just wished Wilbur would handle it a bit better.
“Wil, wanna come with me to the mall? I need to get a new suitcase but we could see a movie or something.” Techno offered as he threw on a jacket.
Wilbur, who’d been strumming his guitar in the living room, paused briefly. “Oh, no thanks. I’m way too tired for a movie.” He continued playing, not bothering to wait for Techno’s response.
Techno hesitated, surprised at how quickly Wilbur rejected his offer. “Oh…uh, alright. Make sure to rest then.” With that, he headed out.
Gently setting his book down, Phil raised an eyebrow at Wilbur. “What was that?”
“What was what?” Wilbur didn’t meet his gaze.
“Why’d you blow him off like that? You’ve only got two weeks left till he leaves. I thought you’d be sticking to him like glue.” Phil admitted.
At the mention of the time left, Wilbur tensed. “I’m just tired. It’s no big deal.”
Phil frowned. “…Wil, if you’re upset about Techno-“
“I’m not upset!” Wilbur protested firmly. “Of course I’m not upset. I’m happy for him. This is Techno’s dream, this is what he worked so hard for in school. Besides it’s not like we were gonna be together forever or anything so…” Wilbur’s playing slowed to a stop. “I’m fine.”
Phil’s skepticism was clear on his face, but he didn’t protest as Wilbur got up and headed upstairs to his room, loosely dragging his guitar with him.
“Alright, I guess…I should get going now.” Techno announced rather loudly as he stood by the doorway with his suitcase and bag.
“Do you have everything? Did you pack a lunch? Do you have enough money?” Phil fretted anxiously as he looked around Techno for anything last minute he could be forgetting.
Originally Phil was meant to drive Techno to the airport, but they ultimately decided he’d be too emotional to drive, so Techno would just take a cab instead.
“Dad, I’m good.” Techno insisted with a chuckle. “Just say bye.”
Tears filled Phil’s eyes as he pulled Techno into a tight hug, squeezing the life out of him. “Call me the moment you land, not a moment later you hear!? I’ll be tracking your flight and clutching the phone!”
“I know, I know.” Techno laughed and hugged him back before letting him go. He turned to Tommy.
Tommy stood there with a big pout on his face, eyes glossy as he struggled not to cry. “I’m not gonna miss you, bitch.” He muttered, wiping his eyes with his arm.
“Uh-huh, sure. But I’ll miss you.” Techno told him sincerely.
Anddd Tommy broke down sobbing, hugging Techno tightly. Techno returned the hug happily and patted him on the head.
When the two broke their hug, Techno looked over towards the living room where Wilbur was strumming on his guitar. “…Wil, I’m leaving.”
“Okay, see yeah.” Wilbur wouldn’t look at him.
It’d been like that since he announced the news. Wilbur practically ghosted him as much as possible, going out of his way to not be around him.
Techno would be lying if he said it didn’t hurt.
Phil and Tommy exchanged worried glances as Techno’s shoulders drooped.
“Right…uh, I’ll call you guys when I land.” Techno muttered before heading out, shutting the door softly behind him.
The moment the door was shut, Phil looked over at Wilbur worriedly. “Wil, are you sure this is how you want to leave things?”
“I’m fine.” Wilbur choked out, trying to force down the painful lump in his throat.
It wasn’t until 45 minutes later that Tommy barged into his room. “What the hell!?” Wilbur squawked, sitting up in his bed.
“You two have been stuck together since you were born. It’s always been fucking annoying.” Tommy snapped.
Wilbur’s eyes narrowed. “What’s your point, Tommy?”
Tommy’s hands balled into fists. “My point is, you guys have always been together, that’s just how its always been! And now he’s leaving and you have nothing to say to him!?”
“What was I supposed to say!?” Wilbur protested.
“HOW ABOUT YOU TELL HIM HOW MUCH YOU’RE GOING TO MISS HIM!” Tommy exclaimed furiously. “HOW IT’S GOING TO BE WEIRD BECAUSE HALF OF YOU WILL BE MISSING!? HOW BADLY YOU DON’T WANT HIM TO GO!?”
Wilbur sputtered. “I can’t do that! This is his dream, I can’t be the one to hold him back!”
“You don’t have to hold him back for him to know how much you love him.” Tommy told him firmly. “You guys have never been apart like this, and now you’re just- you’re just done? Not even a hug goodbye?”
Wilbur looked down.
“Wil, he’s your brother.”
Tears flooded Wilbur’s eyes at those words, and before he knew it, they were rolling down his cheeks as he hiccupped.
Covering his mouth in horror, he looked up at Tommy.
“Toms, what have I done?” He whispered.
“Don’t give me that, you can still catch him if you leave now!” Tommy insisted firmly. “SO GET GOING!”
Wilbur did not need to be told twice.
It took going way over speed limit, nearly getting arrested, and running the car out of the rest of its gas, but Wilbur made it to the airport.
He bolted through the large, crowded building in search of the right gate. The gate scheduled to go off any time now.
He made it to the desk just as he saw them shut the door. “E-Excuse me, please I need to get through-“
“Sir the flight is full, and you’d need a passport-“ The woman started.
“YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! MY TWIN IS ON THAT FLIGHT AND I NEED TO SAY GOODBYE!” He shouted angrily.
The woman’s eyebrows furrowed. “I didn’t see anyone that looked like you-“
Wilbur groaned, tears gathering in his eyes from frustration. “HE HAS LONG PINK HAIR IN A BRAID, I KNOW HE LOOKS DIFFERENT FOR FUCKS SAKE. PLEASE, JUST LET ME TALK TO HIM!”
“I can’t let you on the flight sir,” She started, and Wilbur got ready to shout before she spoke again. “But long pink hair in a braid? I think I know who you’re talking about.” She pointed towards something behind him. “He backed out of getting on the flight last minute, said he couldn’t go without doing something important.”
Wilbur’s eyes widened as he slowly turned around, and to his shock he saw Techno sitting nearby with his bags, face in his hands.
“Oh my God…” Wilbur breathed, chest filling with pure relief as he all but ran towards him. “TECHNO!”
Techno’s head shot up in an instant, eyes wide and filled with tears. He met Wilbur’s gaze and shot out of his seat, nearly getting tackled over by Wilbur’s hug.
“Oh my God, you’re here, you’re here…” Wilbur sobbed, grabbing fistfuls of Techno’s coat. “Don’t go, please don’t go, I can’t- I’m not ready-“
“Wil, Wil, hey,” Techno soothed, sniffling. “It’s okay.” He broke their hug briefly to smile tearfully. “I’m not ready either.”
Wilbur hiccupped.
“Yeah, writing school is cool and all, but I looked into it and…I can go online.” Techno explained softly.
“A-Are you sure?” Wilbur asked hesitantly.
“I thought about it the whole cab ride over. Being apart from you just…” Techno shook his head. “It felt wrong. Like- Like-“
“Like you were missing something.” Wilbur finished for him in a whisper.
Techno’s eyes softened into something impossibly fond. “Yeah. Exactly like that.”
Wilbur hugged him tightly once more, allowing the relief to fully wash over the two in that moment.
Two halves of the same soul, never to be apart again.

MCYT 2023/10/28
Phil smiled as he tried to hide his obvious nervousness. “Toms, I understand you want to hang out with your brothers, but there’s really no shame in wanting to do something else-“
“I WANNA WATCH THE MOVIE!” Tommy exclaimed furiously, sticking in between Wilbur and Techno on the couch like glue, his blanket already over him and a small bowl of popcorn in his lap.
It was Halloween night, and the twins had wanted to watch some horror movies to celebrate. Of course, Tommy wanted to join them in the festivities.
The only problem was: Tommy was seven.
Phil sighed heavily. He knew Tommy would sulk for weeks if he didn’t get to celebrate with his brothers in some way. He wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to face the repercussions of forcing him to go to bed.
Wilbur confidently put his arm around Tommy’s shoulders. “Relax, dad. Toms here is super brave. Besides, Techno and I were his age when we saw our first horror film.”
“Yeah and look what happened to yeah.” Phil teased, gesturing to the boys.
“Fair point.” Techno conceded, a bowl of candy in his lap. “But come on. If it gets to be too much we’ll just turn it off and put him to bed.”
Tommy puffed out his cheeks. He had absolutely no intention of going to bed early. He was a big man and if his brothers could handle a scary movie then he could too.
Finally, Phil just gave them another sigh and tired smile. “Alright boys, you win. Have fun.” He walked over and pressed a kiss to each of their heads. “Don’t let the monsters get Tommy.” He teased.
“We’ll sacrifice Wilbur first.” Techno promised.
Wilbur flipped him off, earning him a light smack on the head from Phil as he walked away.
Once Phil was upstairs heading to bed, Wilbur clapped his hands and leaned over, flicking the lamp off.
“Alright, let’s do this! Ready, Toms?” Wilbur asked happily.
Tommy grinned. “Very!”
Techno pressed play and the three relaxed more into the couch, officially starting their Halloween celebration.
Okay. So maybe the movie ended up being a little intense.
Maybe Tommy hid behind a pillow every chance he got when Techno and Wilbur weren’t looking at him.
And maybe he pretended to fall asleep to force them to stop early.
It worked, didn’t it?
Here he was, curled up in his bed, hugging his cow plush Duffle for dear life, shaking uncontrollably.
Every time he closed his eyes he just saw the monsters from the movie, and heard the screaming, and- and there was blood and people died and-
Tommy sniffled as he shot up from his bed, stumbling out as fast as his little legs could carry him. He was in a brown cow onesie to match Duffle.
He and Duffle made it to the twins’ room quickly, trembling a bit at the creaking of the door that reminded him too much of a scene from the movie.
In their large bed, Techno and Wilbur slept side by side. Techno was lying on his stomach and hugging his pillow, silently sleeping. Meanwhile Wilbur was sprawled out and snoring as loudly as humanly possible whilst drool slid down his chin.
Tommy considered going to Phil for a moment, knowing his brothers were more likely to tease him for getting scared after he insisted he wouldn’t. But Phil would just treat him like a baby till he was…well, his age!
Sadly, Techno and Wilbur were the lesser of the evils.
Hesitantly, Tommy reached out a hand and poked at Techno’s side through the blanket. “Techno?” He whispered.
Nothing.
“Techno?” Another poke.
Still nothing.
Puffing out his cheeks, Tommy threw Duffle directly at Techno’s face.
Instantly Techno shot up into a sitting position with his hands wrapped around Duffle’s neck as if to choke him, eyes wide and crazed.
“What-“ Techno did a double take, meeting Tommy’s gaze. “Tommy, what the heck, man? You’re lucky I grabbed the doll and not you!”
Tommy huffed, poking at the floor with his little foot. “Um…” He fiddled with his hands. “I-I thought you and Wil might…be scared.”
A knowing look instantly formed on Techno’s face. “…Uh-huh?” He encouraged Tommy to continue, an amused smile on his lips.
Tommy looked down shamefully. “S-So…I wanted to um…c-come and comfort you two…since you’re being big babies about it…”
Techno sighed heavily, and Tommy prepared himself for the onslaught of teasing that would follow.
But instead, Techno merely pulled up the blanket and moved aside to make some room. “Come on.”
Tommy beamed and hopped up into the bed, instantly nestling into Techno’s arms as Techno handed him back Duffle.
“Well, I feel super secure now. I don’t know about you.” Techno whispered.
Tommy giggled. “Yeah, this is alright.”
Techno’s arms wrapped around Tommy and pulled him close, and Tommy let out a content sigh against him as Techno whispered in his ear.
“Goodnight, Theseus.”

Dream SMP (16/08/2023)
“…I really don’t think I’m getting this.” George admitted in a mutter as he awkwardly held Skeppy’s hands.
Skeppy snorted. “That’s because you’re so stiff! Relax your bones a little!”
Bad spoke up with amusement. “Go easy on him, Skeppy. This isn’t exactly natural to humans.”
In the common area of the SMP, Dream, Sapnap, and George were getting a lesson in fusion dances.
And it…was not going very well.
“Okay, how did I manage to step on my own foot!?” George complained as he messed up yet again as Skeppy tried to walk him through the steps.
Sapnap cackled from the sidelines. “George, this isn’t that hard.”
“It’s basically just dancing.” Dream added not-helpfully.
Skeppy tried to spin him, and George promptly fell over.
“It is not just dancing.” George bit out irritably.
Groaning loudly, Skeppy dramatically turned to Bad. “Bad, would you mind helping me demonstrate yet again?”
Bad couldn’t help smiling. He knew the demonstration wouldn’t be helpful, and he knew that Skeppy knew it too, he just wanted a reason to fuse.
It was sweet, that Skeppy would share something so intimate with his friends.
Skeppy had explained it to Bad before, as best he could in more human terms. That fusion was as intimate as he could ever get with somebody, platonically or otherwise.
Apparently, there was different versions of fusion dancing that meant different things. No matter how many times Bad asked, Skeppy would never tell him what their version meant.
He had the sneaking suspicion it was like, a best friends one, or maybe something more akin to soulmate, but Skeppy was pretty determined to antagonize him by keeping it a secret for as long as possible.
“I would be honored.” Bad told him sincerely, something weirdly smug in his chest as he felt his friends watching them.
There was something weirdly satisfying about being the only one who could fuse successfully with Skeppy.
Dream got close, but at the last moment they grew out of sync and separated, George couldn’t seem to do it at all and Sapnap could get through the dance but couldn’t seem to make the connection happen.
Bad stepped up towards Skeppy, beginning to loosely sway. Skeppy followed suit and began to do a kind of groovy shake.
The two got closer and closer until Skeppy grabbed Bad’s hand and held it out proper like you would for a ballroom dance before pressing himself up close enough that Bad could feel Skeppy’s gem against his chest.
In perfect sync, the two began to do a waltz box step, before Skeppy spun Bad around and pulled him close again as his gem began to shine.
And then they were suddenly one.
The Dream team stared at them in mild awe. They’d seen Skephalo plenty of times before, but rarely did they see the fusion process.
Skephalo stood proudly. His skin was a demon pitch-black with flakes of diamond sprouted out occasionally, almost like patches of scales. The tip of his demon tail was made of gem material, as well as the tips of his horns. The hood of his cloak, along with the trim of it, ended in diamond flakes. And a square, diamond gem rested on his chest, peeking out from underneath his shirt.
“See? Just like that.” His voice had a scratchy edge to it.
Dream and Sapnap stared at him in amazement, while George scowled.
“That dance is completely different from the one we were doing, that literally doesn’t help me at all! You just wanted to fuse!”
“I have no idea what you mean.” Skephalo told him innocently.
Dream grinned widely. “ME NEXT, ME NEXT! I’M SO CLOSE, LET ME TRY AGAIN!”
Sapnap gasped. “What!? No way, it’s my turn to try!”
Skephalo watched as the two broke out bickering, a fond smile crossing his lips.
He couldn’t help the small part of him that secretly hoped none of them would be able to get it.
Because this was his thing.
This was their thing.
And if Skeppy would purposefully get out of sync with Dream during their next attempt…well, that was a secret for Skephalo.

Dream SMP (09/21/2023)
A flustered Tubbo hid behind some bushes as he watched the people nearby intensely.
Or rather, watched Etho intensely.
Etho and Grian were just chatting away, talking about who knows what. Tubbo was too far to make out any words.
“Tubbo you are so pathetic. Just go talk to him.” Tommy grunted from beside him, arms crossed.
The very idea of Tubbo entering anywhere close to Etho’s personal bubble made him gasp, appalled. “Are you insane!? Tom, I would actually die.”
“He’s just a person!” Tommy protested. “Just like you and me. Do you really want to be known as a guy with such little self-respect he hides in the bushes from his idol- Wil, what are you doing?”
Tubbo looked over when Tommy cut himself off, and was surprised to see Wilbur hiding in bushes as well nearby.
He looked at Tommy and Tubbo with alarm, realizing he’d been caught. “Oh, Tommy, Tubbo, fancy seeing you two here, haha…” He trailed off in a nervous laughter.
Tommy raised an eyebrow in pure judgement. “…You’re watching Grian, aren’t you?”
“Wha? Pshhh, no…” But Wilbur’s intense sweating at the accusation gave him away.
“You two are so cringe.” Tommy complained, gesturing back to Grian and Etho. “They. Are. Just. People!”
Tubbo squawked. “They are legends, Tom. They’re in the history books!”
“So are we, Tubbo.” Tommy deadpanned.
“It’s not the same!” He insisted.
Wilbur let out a heavy sigh. “Tommy, you just don’t get it. You don’t know what it’s like to have somebody you admire to hell and back.”
“I don’t know what that’s like?” Tommy stared him down with narrowed eyes. Tommy could think of plenty of people he admired to hell and back, didn’t mean he had to act like a lunatic and stalk them.
Tubbo suddenly gasped, making the other two jump. “Sorry- Etho he- he briefly moved is all.”
“Oh my-“ Tommy ran a hand over his face, shaking his head. “Nope, nope, nope, I’m not dealing with this for the entire championship. Come on, you two.” Without warning, Tommy left the bushes and stared walking straight towards Etho and Grian.
“TOM, TOM NO, TOMMY!” The two shrieked out in complete and utter horror.
But Tommy ignored them and threw on his best show smile before literally jumping into Grian and Etho’s personal space, getting in their faces. “Hi Etho, hi Grian. I’m Tommy, big man innit. See those two freaks in the bushes?” He suddenly pointed.
Wilbur and Tubbo swore they died in that moment, paralyzed by fear as their mouths fell agape and their idols stared at them.
“They both like, desperately love you two, like it’s embarrassing actually, and really, really painful. Could you please just say hi to them so they get it out of their systems and I’m not stuck listening to them fanboy for the rest of the championships?” Tommy asked all in one breath.
It was in that moment that Wilbur and Tubbo made a silent pact to murder Tommy as many times as possible during the championships.
But then Etho and Grian were smiling, and suddenly waving at them. “Hi Tubbo!” Etho called cheerfully.
“Wilbur, how’s it going!?” Grian asked enthusiastically.
And Wilbur and Tubbo just about malfunctioned in that moment, unable to say words other than what could only be described as a keyboard spam.
They didn’t even notice Tommy grabbing their wrists and dragging them over until they were stood right in front of their idols.
“I’m looking forward to the competition. I hope you’re ready!” Etho teased with a wink, grinning down at Tubbo.
“I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-“ Tubbo’s entire face flushed pink, and Tommy had to elbow him in the gut for him to finish his sentence. “I-I’m looking forward to it too.” He squeaked out in a high-pitched tone he didn’t even know he could reach.
Wilbur smiled anxiously down at Grian. “Um…Grian, I-I love your builds. I’ve followed your work for ages now and I just- it’s amazing man, you’re amazing.”
“Well shucks.” Grian rubbed the back of his head with a smile. “I’m glad to hear it. Maybe we could build something together sometime!”
Wilbur’s eyes went impossibly wide. “Build…together…as in…you and me…together…”
“Oh!” Etho looked down at his watch communicator in surprise. “Sorry to cut this short, Scott needs us. But let’s talk more later.” He stated cheerfully before turning to leave with Grian.
“Bye Wilbur, bye Tubbo, bye Tommy.” Grian waved briefly before following after Etho.
The moment the two were out of sight, Wilbur and Tubbo simultaneously collapsed.
“AYE!?” Tommy jumped in surprise, scowling. “HEY! NO, NO, NO, YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE READY FOR BATTLE NOW! OH COME ON, YOU TWO! UGHHHHH!”
Wilbur and Tubbo had to be taken to the infirmary before the championships could even officially start.

Yugioh ZEXAL (01/20/2024)
Being with Yuma, and by extension more than anything Astral, was weird.
Not the weirdest thing Shark’s ever been through, he was part alien for goodness’ sake, nothing is ever going to top that, but still weird.
Sometimes it was hard to exactly pin down their relationship. Others had asked before, and Shark never really knew what to tell them.
Shark was dating Yuma. Yuma was dating Astral. Astral and Shark were fine with each other’s presence.
It was kind of like polyamory, Shark supposed, just with a sort of ghost/alien/entity that only Yuma can see and interact with most of the time.
There were exceptions, though. Like when they were Zexal. A fusion, almost.
Shark was also dating Zexal, but he’s not sure that’s the same as dating Astral and Yuma.
All he knows is that they all care for him very much, and he cares for them back.
That’s really all that mattered.
Sometimes when they were fighting, Yuma and Astral would fuse into Zexal to try and resolve it. To try and understand where the other was coming from.
It was an odd way of handling it, especially when it came to comforting them.
“Was it really bad?” Shark questioned as he lied back in Yuma’s hammock, watching them as they gazed out the window, hunched down in a crouched position on the floor.
“…He just…can’t seem to let it go.” Shark’s not sure who they were referring to, but he supposed it didn’t matter in the long run.
Shark hummed a little. “Why don’t you agree to disagree? And maybe separate for a bit? Distance can be good.”
They rarely listened to that advice, especially Yuma who didn’t like to be apart from Astral after he disappeared, but the fight must’ve been serious because before Shark knew it the two were separated.
Yuma stared at the empty space beside him for a moment before looking at Shark with a sad expression. “He went in the key…”
Shark opened his arms and Yuma easily fell into them, lying on the hammock with him.
“I just don’t want to lose him again.” Yuma whispered painfully.
Shark smiled a little, rubbing his back comfortingly.
“Like that’ll ever happen.”
Shark knew how weird it looked when he was out with Yuma and Yuma would be talking to the air.
Yuma knew it too, but after everything they went through, he stopped caring.
So, Shark stopped caring too. For the most part.
“Of course chocolate is better than vanilla, are you crazy!?” Yuma ranted to the empty space beside him as he and Shark walked along the mall with their ice cream cones.
A beat of silence passed, and Yuma scowled. “We can’t form Zexal in public, you can try it at home.”
Another silence. And then, “I don’t care if it melts! We have strawberry at home anyways, you can have that. Yes. Yes I know strawberry sucks in comparison-“
Shark’s not even surely Astral could taste anything, or if he was just having this debate with Yuma as a weird way of flirting.
But either way, it’s not like Shark minded, and he knew Yuma secretly liked bickering with him anyway.
But still.
Two girls watched warily from the side, whispering to each other as they kept eyeing Yuma.
As Shark and Yuma passed, Shark overheard them.
“Who’s he talking to?”
“Do you think he’s okay?”
“Is that man with him his caregiver?...”
Shark gave them a death glare that shut them up in an instant, making them tremble where they stood.
“Shark?”
Shark looked back at his boyfriend, who’d stopped his argument with Astral to look at him worriedly.
“Is something wrong? Why are you scowling?” He asked.
“It’s nothing. Did you and Astral settle on a flavor?” He changed the subject. Because why make Yuma upset for no reason?
Yuma huffed, hands on his hips. “No, we still can’t agree on the chocolate and vanilla thing, but we both agree strawberry sucks so at least there’s that.”
Shark smirked a little. “Really? I’m actually quite a fan.”
“WHAT!?” Yuma all but shrieked. “Astral, did you hear that? What should we do-“
They continued on as usual, and Shark scared off anyone who dared to look at Yuma strangely.
Sometimes, in his Barian form, Shark could sense Astral if he was close.
They had to be right next to each other, and Shark still couldn’t quite see Astral, but he could feel his presence.
A strange sensation, almost like heat, came close to Shark’s side as he and Yuma lied in the hammock. Yuma was already knocked out for the night.
Shark smiled slightly, content as he ran a hand through Yuma’s hair. “Hey Astral.”
The warmth grew a bit stronger.
“I know you saw those girls whispering about him.”
Even warmer, with something protective mixed in.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let them say shit to him. Anyone who has a problem can answer to me.” Shark insisted firmly, his grip on Yuma tightening.
The warmth grew further, almost encasing him. It was moments like this, that Shark wondered if Astral’s affections were for him as well as Yuma.

Soul Eater 10/08/2023
“Alright, I’m heading out to get my cake.” Kid announced kindly as he grabbed his wallet by the door.
Blackstar happily skipped over to give him a kiss goodbye. He’d offered to go pick up Kid’s cake for him, but Kid insisted he needed to inspect it to make sure the bakers hadn’t gotten it wrong. “Hurry back so we can start celebrating!” He winked, pressing a quick kiss to Kid’s lips.
Kid gave a smile and brief nod before heading out the door.
The moment the door shut, Blackstar was scowling and spinning on his heel, pressing his phone to his ear. “Pick up, pick up, pick up.” He demanded to no one.
And thankfully, someone did pick up.
“Blackstar? What’s going on? I thought it was Kid’s birthday.” Maka’s voice rang in his ear.
“MAKA I AM IN CRISIS!” Blackstar ranted sadly. “It’s literally Kid’s birthday and I still don’t have a present for him and I only have a couple of hours to figure something out before Kid decides the cake is perfect.”
Maka was silent on the other end for a moment. “Huh…that is quite the situation. Um…”
Soul’s voice rang out from the background. “Let me talk to him, he probably needs a guy’s perspective?”
“What difference does that make?” Maka snapped. Blackstar winced at the smack he heard through the phone, almost definitely caused by Maka. “What about clothes?”
“Too risky, Kid is soooo particular about what he wears. I just know I’ll get it wrong.” Blackstar sulked.
He could almost hear Maka rolling her eyes through the phone. “Kid is particular about everything.”
Soul’s voice was suddenly in his ear, apparently he took the phone. “Just do something that shows effort. Kid won’t care what it is, just that you put in the work.”
It wasn’t a terrible suggestion. Kid always said one of his most favorite things about Blackstar was his determination and work ethic, so doing something to display that could be the way to go.
“But how do I do that?” He questioned, eyebrows furrowing.
Maka took the phone back “Well, you could bake him something, but then again he’s already getting a cake so…” She thought for a moment. “Blackstar, what do you know about arts and crafts?”
Blackstar raised an eyebrow. “Huh?”
Maka’s suggestion, thought brilliant, was going terribly wrong.
So terribly wrong, in fact, that all Blackstar could do was wait anxiously for Kid to get back and see what happened.
God, he was the worst. He wanted to get Kid something amazing for his birthday and instead all he’ll be getting is a goddamn OCD episode.
All he could hope for at this point was that Kid didn’t break up with him over it.
Hearing the familiar jingle of keys, Blackstar swallowed hard and stepped into the living room area of the apartment, getting ready to face his boyfriend head on.
“Sorry that took so long, the baker thought she could get away with an extra sprinkle.” Kid scoffed as he stepped into the apartment, a cake box in his arms.
But he froze when he saw the state of the apartment.
Sitting on just about every surface, and the floor, was crooked, awkwardly made paper cranes. Each one had terrible crinkles and some were hardly even staying together because of how poorly they were made.
And there were hundreds of them.
Blackstar felt sweat pouring as Kid went deathly silent. “Okay…so…um…” Blackstar started nervously.
Kid slowly set the cake down, a shadow covering his eyes.
“I-I wanted to do something cool for your birthday to show you how much I love you and Maka and Soul said I should do something to show effort and then Maka gave me the idea to make a thousand cranes s-so you could have a wish!” Blackstar awkwardly fiddled with his fingers, shoulders slumping. “I-I tried to make them come out good but they just…the paper just wouldn’t do what I wanted it to and…” Tears bubbled in Blackstar’s eyes shamefully as he hung his head.
Kid approached him silently, his expression unreadable.
“I’m sorry, Kid.” Blackstar whispered brokenly. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry if I triggered you. There was just so many and you’d already texted you were on your way home and-“
Kid reached out and gently took Blackstar’s hands in his own, making the boy fall silent.
“Blackstar,” Kid started with a softness Blackstar was certain he didn’t deserve. “This was so kind of you. Thank you.”
“Y-You’re not mad?” Blackstar asked nervously, still teary-eyed.
“You tried to do something so wonderful for me, and Maka and Soul were right, you showed off the thing I love the most about you, the amount of effort you put into everything.” He smiled slightly. “How could I ever be mad at that?”
Blackstar sniffed, weakly moving his arm up to wipe his eyes.
“Now then, if that’s cleared up, can we celebrate my birthday properly?” Kid asked gently, pressing a kiss to Blackstar’s forehead.
“S-Sure!” Blackstar did his best to grin, though a bit flustered. “Um, what do you wanna do?”
“Well first we should have the cake. It will take me at least an hour to make sure I cut it perfectly,” Kid started simply, glancing around the apartment. “How about you gather up the cranes and set them in a box?”
Blackstar blinked, tilting his head in confusion. “What for?”
“So I can set them on fire. I love you, but I can’t stand to look at them.” Kid admitted, already looking a bit ill as he kept staring at the various cranes.
Blackstar yelped. “Ah, right, sorry! I-I’ll take care of it!” He scrambled to start picking up the cranes, but his fast pace just made him drop some of them.
Kid watched him for a moment before a tiny smile morphed onto his lips again.
And then, before Blackstar knew it, he was being lifted up bridal style in Kid’s arms. “Ah! Hey, what the heck!?”
“Forget my previous statements. Cake and cranes can wait. I want cuddles first.” Kid declared simply, carrying him to their bedroom.
Blackstar blushed, everything in him wanting to protest and declare he should carry Kid instead.
But…it was Kid’s birthday, and if Kid wanted to carry him like this…maybe just this once, Blackstar could allow it.

ST 2022/06/26
The moment El hit the floor, they knew they were screwed.
No number of rocks, bats, or even guns could protect them from this monster. They were at Billy’s mercy the second he broke out of the sauna.
And to say they were terrified would be an understatement.
Max was paralyzed where she stood, and Will and Lucas weren’t faring much better.
But Mike wasn’t frozen. Was he scared? Absolutely. He’d be insane to not feel fear right now.
And what he was doing was stupid. He was going to die for this. He knew that.
But that didn’t mean he hesitated for even a second before storming over to Billy, who was choking El with his bare hand, and smacking him over the head with a metal rod.
“GO TO HELL YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” He hissed when Billy collapsed to the floor. He went to hit him again.
But Billy grabbed the rod before it could make good contact and tossed it aside as he stood up.
Mike stepped back until he was pressed against the wall, eyes wide with fear as Billy approached him.
He already knew there was nothing he could do. He didn’t have powers; he wasn’t a superhero.
But he couldn’t live with himself if he didn’t do whatever he could to protect El, so he had no regrets.
Mike closed his eyes; he’s accepted his fate.
Only…the hit never came. Mike’s eyes shot open to see something incredible.
Billy was being levitated into the air, and suddenly El was in front of him, blood pouring from her nose and her hands stretched outwards towards Billy, a furious and unforgiving expression resting on her face.
"DON'T...TOUCH... HIM!!!" She all but roared before sending Billy through the brick wall.
One look at everyone else told Mike they were all in shock. They were all certain El was down for the count; out of energy.
But here she was, standing in front of Mike like some kind of knight in shining armor.
Like a superhero.
El’s loud sobs rang out as she collapsed backwards against Mike, legs turned to jelly. Mike wrapped his arms around her in a tight hold as they slid down against the wall.
“Mike…” El hiccupped, turning her head weakly to look at him with eyes full of tears. “You’re not hurt…tell me you’re not hurt.” She croaked, unable to do anything but lean against him. She was completely drained.
He smiled tearfully down at her, his hold tightening. “Thanks to you. I’m fine…really, hey,” He brought a hand up to her cheek to wipe some of her tears away, looking into her eyes. “I’m fine, I promise.”
El sniffled and gave a weak smile in return.
But her smile didn’t last long, as her eyes filled with more tears and a look of terrible regret formed. “Oh Mike…I-I don’t care if you lied, I still love you…Max said to break up with you because you were treating me bad but…but I don’t think that’s true… you…have always been kind to me.”
She may have not known much kindness in her life, but what she did know is that Mike was never someone she considered evil or cruel.
Mike was safe.
He was home.
Mike let out a breathy chuckle, running a hand through her hair. “I’m supposed to apologize to you. I-I hurt you and I am…so sorry. I just didn’t want you taken away from me…but it happened anyway.”
As the others gazed outside to see what was happening with Billy, Mike glanced at them briefly before smiling down at El.
“You know…my friends have given me a lot of advice lately on how to handle our relationship, you know back when we had one…but I’m done listening. This is our relationship El, not theirs. And all I know is…is…” His voice quieted as he struggled to get the words out, tears filling his eyes in mild frustration. “I…I love you, El. Please…don’t leave me.”
El weakly pulled herself up to press her forehead against his. “Never. Never again Mike. Never again. I love you too.” She pressed her lips against his and suddenly all the problems in the world didn’t seem so big anymore.
The two stood up from the floor and went over to the others. Billy had run off.
They still had a world to save, but something about holding El’s hand in his own, made Mike believe it would all truly be okay in the end.
As long as they were together, they could beat anything.

IT/Descendants 2023/08/20
Call him insane, but Richie couldn’t help being skeptical.
The idea of parents day already put him on edge, because it meant he’d be receiving a call from mother dearest.
But even worse, he had to mingle with various princes and princess known for their heroism; good people.
Eddie insisted again and again that Richie was good, and Richie was trying to believe it, but Parents Day was a little bit like having his history thrown right in his face.
It’s not like he chose this. He didn’t choose Gothel as his mother. Just like Stan didn’t choose Jack Frost as his father.
“Richard, my sweet. Can you see me okay?” Gothel asked as he struggled to figure out the monitor from the Isle. Sitting next to her, picking at his nails, was Jack Frost. He couldn’t look less interested.
“I see you, mother.” He answered robotically. Stan stood next to him anxiously.
Eddie and Bill were off to the side, wanting to support them without causing more problems.
Imagine how Gothel and Jack would react if they found out their kids were friends with children of heroes.
Dating children of heroes.
Eddie was literally the poster child for descendants of heroes, with his mother and father being Cinderella and Prince Charming, he was known as the purest in all of Auradon because of it, and his parents didn't even rule over Auradon!
And Bill, son of Snow White, supposedly just as fair as the woman herself.
Yeah, it would not go over well if they knew the truth.
Things were already rocky between the families due to Richie and Stan’s decision to try and become good.
Honestly, Richie was shocked his mother was willing to speak to him at all.
“That’s good, I was worried we wouldn’t be able to see each other through the tornado of betrayal dividing us.” Gothel told him optimistically.
As if the words didn’t stab into Richie’s chest like a knife.
“…Father?” Stan spoke up hesitantly.
Jack Frost glanced at him briefly. “So, is my staff still locked in the museum? Or is it yours now?”
Stan winced a little, glancing over at Bill for support. Bill nodded encouragingly.
“Um…yeah, they uh, they let me use it, supervised.” Stan told him softly.
“All that power at your fingertips, and you still choose good, huh?” Jack Frost muttered thoughtfully. “Well, not like it matters anyways.”
It hurt to see his father stuck on the Isle. He wasn’t a villain, not truly.
But…he wasn’t good either. And Stan knew that his father did whatever he wanted, regardless of who was hurt.
He couldn’t be trusted.
“At least your son has powers. My child can’t even see without the help of glasses.” Gothel complained with a dramatic sigh. “So Richard, are you enjoying your time in Auradon?”
Richie swallowed hard. “Yeah…it’s pretty great here.”
“Well,” Gothel clapped her hands. “I’m glad you’re having fun and being comfortable while I continue to rot away on this Isle! I only took care of you for your whole life, but really, it’s not like you owe me.” She spoke with bite.
Eddie struggled to keep to the side, wanting nothing more than to storm over and give Richie’s mother the what for.
But he knew better. These people couldn’t be reasoned with, they were too far gone.
“It’s not too late, you know.” Jack spoke distantly. “With your magic, you could do anything. You could have everything.”
Stan knew that. He knew how powerful he was.
To have the powers of both a hero and a villain, both with unbeatable ice abilities…
Stan knew just how capable he was.
But those powers didn’t bring him joy. They didn’t bring him the warmth of Bill’s hand in his own.
“I have all I need right here.” Stan told him firmly.
Jack merely hummed. Stan pretended like it didn’t hurt.
“Okay, we’re out of time.” Fairy Godmother spoke up hesitantly. “Please say goodbye.” She could tell how uncomfortable the two were.
“…Bye, mother.” Richie waved weakly.
Gothel waved her hand dismissively. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you, child. When this all blows up on you, do not expect me to be waiting with open arms.”
“Try not to freeze the entire land. You have no idea how easy it is to slip from hero to monster.” Jack told him simply. It wasn’t even a warning, just more something to keep in mind.
Stan couldn’t help his gulp. “…Right. Bye.”
Fairy Godmother hung up the call, and in an instant Eddie and Bill were running to hug and comfort their partners.
“You did so well.” Eddie soothed, hugging Richie tight.
Richie rammed his face into Eddie’s shoulder, he couldn’t stop his trembling. “I’m a horrible son.”
“She’s a horrible woman.” Eddie corrected firmly. “You are the one good thing, Rich. The only good thing I can say about her.” Richie smiled weakly into his shoulder.
Stan let out a frosty breath, noticing that his bare feet and hands were starting to get covered in ice. “…Dammit.”
Bill took his hand gently, rubbing it as the ice began to dissipate. “Y-Y-You’re okay. The hard p-part is over.” He smiled. “L-Let’s go have fun.”
Right. The next part, mingling with the heroes.
It wouldn’t be fun, but if they could get through talking to their parents, then they could get through this.
…Right?
Something that became very clear to Richie was that the children of heroes were boring.
Seriously, the most interesting thing they had to do was croquet? At this point Richie was genuinely considering eating a fistful of grass just to give Eddie something to yell at him about. That would be more entertaining than this.
Richie watched as Eddie took his turn, practically ready to fall asleep while standing up, only for a woman to walk his way.
But she didn’t just walk by, she stopped and just…stared at him.
Richie’s eyebrows furrowed, and he tried not to look at her, but she just kept staring like he was something special on display.
“…Do you want a picture, it’ll last longer.” He finally said jokingly.
The woman blushed, realizing her behavior. “Oh, I-I’m so sorry. I did not mean to be rude I just…I swear I’ve seen you somewhere before.” She explained.
Well that couldn’t be possible. Richie’s only been in Auradon for two months, he’s never even seen this woman.
“You can just say I’m handsome and you wanted a reason to stare.” He teased.
The older woman merely laughed. “Confident one, are you?” She said almost fondly. It made Richie smile a little.
But then Gretta was walking over and hugging the woman. “Grandma!”
“Oh, hello dear.” The woman hugged her back tightly.
Richie felt his blood run cold. “…Grandma?” The dots began to connect in his head.
Gretta looked his way, and instantly began to sneer. “…Rapunzel’s mother?” She said like it was obvious.
Arianna frowned deeply, looking at the two with confusion. “Dear?” She questioned her daughter’s sudden attitude change.
“Grandma, you don’t want to be around this one. Unless you want more children snatched from you.” She hissed.
At first it was clear Arianna didn’t understand, but as she stared Richie down her face began to morph into realization.
She gasped loudly, face morphing into terror as she stepped back. “IT’S YOU!?”
Richie did a double take. ‘Shit!’
Everyone was looking over at them now. “I-I don’t understand…how did…” Arianna trembled with fear as tears filled her eyes. She covered her mouth with her hand as if she was gonna be sick. “HELP! SOMEBODY STOP HER! IT’S HER, IT’S GOTHEL! PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN!”
Many bodies were rushing over to try and remedy the situation. Mike got in between Richie and Arianna, holding his hand out to show he meant no harm. “Queen Arianna, it’s alright. Gothel is still on the Isle, this is her son, Richie.”
Richie felt a rush of relief when Eddie came up, wrapping a protective arm around his waist.
“S-Son? There is no way that woman bared a child…” She protested in horror. “He must be a manifestation of a dark spell! WE MUST FLEE AT ONCE!” She cried into her hands.
Richie felt his heart snap. He knew what happened wasn’t his fault. It’s not like he wanted his mother to kidnap Rapunzel and keep her as a prisoner for 18 years.
Richie hadn’t even been born yet.
“Look, I know what my mom did was shitty, but I had nothing to do with it!” He protested, growing frustrated. “Can’t you see that?” He asked in a softer tone.
But his shoulders drooped as Arianna just continued to sob.
“Listen-“ He just wanted to make it better.
But then Henry, one of Gretta’s friends, was shoving him back. “Don’t fucking touch them!” Patrick was right by his side to back him up.
“STOP IT, BOWERS!” Bill protested angrily.
Henry bristled. “What’s that B-B-B-Billy? Did you forget who they are? You’d think somebody who’s little brother was slaughtered by villains would have more sense.”
“R-R-Richie and Stan a-aren’t their p-parents. T-T-They don’t deserve to p-pay for their parents sins.” He explained firmly.
Patrick let out a loud laugh at that. “Right, like they’ve never done anything villain worthy.” He smirked before pointing at Stan. “You nearly frozen the entire castle,”
Stan flushed with shame at the reminder. He’d had a terrible nightmare and it caused a panic attack when he woke up.
He didn't mean to.
Patrick looked at Richie, scoffing. “And you? Manipulating a prince to try and get that damn flower. You’re nothing but Gothel 2.0.” Richie’s eyes widened at those words.
And then Bill was punching Patrick in the face, which set off a chain of events.
Henry and Eddie bother joined the fight, but then Stan was blasting ice attacks out of his hands and sending everyone flying. The crowd backed up as the ice began to cover the ground.
Stan breathed heavily as he looked at the ice beneath his feet, eyes widening in terror. “No, no, no…”
Bill carefully stood up on the ice, trying not to fall. “S-Stan…it’s okay…” He tried to soothe from where he was.
It wasn’t his fault. Bill knew that.
Stan was scared.
“Richie, what do I do!?” He cried, turning to his childhood friend for help.
But Richie didn’t know how to help him. He wasn’t gifted like Stan was, he didn’t have magic powers.
He was just…a regular person.
Stan panicked as he realized Fairy Godmother and some of the others were trying to approach him. “No! Everyone stay away- STAY AWAY!” He cried out, unintentionally sending blasts of ice rapidly.
So Richie did the only thing he could think of, he grabbed Stan’s hand, not caring that the ice was burning his skin. “Come on.” He told Stan firmly, already dragging him off.
The two ran for it, and Stan created ice beneath his feet that would make it near impossible to follow them.
Bill and Eddie watched as they disappeared with pure sadness.
“I knew it.” Gretta shrugged, crossing her arms. “Villains make villains, it’s just fact.”
Bev spoke up fumingly from where she stood with Ben. “This isn’t their fault!” She protested.
“You’re right, it’s Mike’s.” Henry retorted firmly before walking away with his friends as Fairy Godmother began making a plan to magic away the ice.
Ben, Mike, Eddie, Bill and Bev glanced at each other worriedly, before sharing a small nod and heading back towards the castle.
Parents Day may have been a bust, and maybe the other kids and parents wouldn’t understand just yet.
It would take time to change their minds, but they’d do it.
Because Richie and Stan were good. Good people dealt terrible hands.
And the others wouldn’t stop until everyone else could see that.

hermitcraft 2021-12-11
Christmas.
The time of receiving presents, eating yummy food, dancing and having a blast.
Christmas was, to put it simply, Grian’s favorite time of year.
He loved the holidays. He loved how the land banded together for a big festival and spent so much time having fun and taking a break from their usual responsibilities.
Grian hummed happily as he stood on his tippy toes to grab something from the top shelf in his mansion’s kitchen.
Looking around to make sure he was alone, Grian used his wings to lift himself up slightly to grab the flour, before lowering back down.
“Cheat!” Grian shrieked and spun on his heel to see Mumbo at the entry way smirking at him.
“What happened to you not using your wings as much?” He teased.
Grian grinned. “Next year. I said next year I wouldn’t. It’s still technically this year.” He stuck his tongue out.
“You’re ridiculous.” Mumbo chuckled, wrapping his arms around Grian’s waist and tugging him in for a kiss.
And that’s when Scar crashed through the window, making them shriek in terror.
“Owwww…” Scar groaned, then smiled at them. “Hey guys!”
“…Scar, what are you doing here?” Grian deadpanned.
“I came to bake cookies with you guys! You said you were planning this, remember? I brought sprinkles!” He told them excitedly.
Grian and Mumbo shared a look of exasperation.
“Hey Grian, you have something on your face.” Mumbo told him.
Grian’s eyes widened as he turned to Mumbo. “I do-“ Mumbo poked him on the nose with flour.
Clicking his tongue, Grian crossed his arms as Mumbo grinned mischievously at him. “Oh Mumbo, you fool, you FOOL!” He declared, already grabbing the entire bag of flour.
“WAIT WAIT WAIT I’M SORRY-“ Mumbo shrieked in fear, trying to take the flour from him.
Grian smirked and let him take it, knowing they still needed for cooking. “You get off this time, next time you won’t be so lucky.”
“Don’t I know it.” Mumbo sighed, leaning down to kiss him.
But then Scar spoke, reminding them that he was there in the first place. “Question, do we want snowmen or stars?”
Grian rolled his eyes and walked away from Mumbo to go deal with Scar. “Obviously both.”
“I’m glad we decided to do this together. I love Scar, but I was kind of hoping we’d get some alone time.” Mumbo admitted as he and Grian hung ornaments on the giant Christmas tree in the shopping district.
Grian nodded. “Me too, the baking was kind of a bust.”
“Hey, mind using those wings?” Mumbo grinned, gesturing to the space above him.
Grian huffed and snatched the ornament, flying up and basically towering over Mumbo. “This?”
“Ehhh, a little higher.” Mumbo told him.
Grian reached his arm up a bit more. “Here?”
“Higher.” He insisted.
“What? What do you mean high-“ Grian looked down and noticed his shirt had risen up when he lifted his arm, giving Mumbo a clear view of his stomach.
Grian dropped the ornament on his head, making him yelp. Smirking a little, Grian spoke sarcastically. “Oops.”
“Yeah yeah, come here.” Mumbo yanked Grian down from the air, earning a squeal of surprise. Mumbo hugged him happily as Grian chuckled in his hold, ramming his head against Mumbo’s neck.
“Hey guys, I found these awesome ornaments for the tree!” Grian and Mumbo turned to see a happy Scar walking over with a huge cart of ornaments.
Grian and Mumbo shared a tired look.
“Okay, Scar isn’t part of the Christmas Star team, this is one place he WON’T find us.” Grian snapped, dragging Mumbo into the room where the star rested. It was deep underground so that if there was any explosions nothing would be damaged.
Mumbo sighed. “Yep, only everyone on the star team could walk in.”
“Look whatever, I don’t care, now come here.” Grian wrapped his arms around Mumbo and pulled him into a kiss, which Mumbo returned happily.
And then they heard a familiar voice.
“Hey guys! I brought something for the star!” Scar explained cheerfully.
Grian broke their kiss, fuming. “Oh, I’m gonna kill that guy.” He declared.
Mumbo chuckled and looked at Scar. “Scar, listen, I appreciate all of your help, but see, um, you know it’s Christmas time…”
“Uh-huh.” Scar nodded, oblivious.
“T-The time of being together…with friends sure, but also loved ones…you know, romantic partners…” Mumbo trailed off awkwardly, blushing a little.
Scar blinked. “True.”
“So…” Mumbo mumbled quietly. “Um…”
Grian rolled his eyes and glared at Scar. “GET OUT.”
“GRIAN!” Mumbo squeaked. “W-We don’t mean it like that of course-“
“Well, I do. Mumbo and I would like to make out in peace, so for the love of Christmas GET. OUT.” Grian told him, fuming with annoyance.
Scar gasped in realization. “Oooohhhh, I didn’t realize. Well, gosh, why didn’t you say so before? I’ll go see Bdubs! Happy lip locking!” He told them cheerfully before leaving the star room.
“…We really should’ve opened with that.” Mumbo admitted.
Grian wheezed. “No kidding.” And finally, he leaned in and got the kiss from Mumbo he had been waiting for.

TPN (2019/05/01) #2
Sharing a bed was nice, it meant lots of cuddles and it'd always be cozy and warm.
"EMMA GIVE ME THE BLANKET!"
"NEVERRRR!"
But it was also a huge pain. There'd be blanket and pillow hogging, the chance of falling off the bed and smacking each other with their limbs in their sleep.
Norman curled over on his side to ignore the chaos going on next to him.
Ray was currently sitting up in the bed trying to pull the covers over more on his side, while Emma was in the middle and trying to hold onto the comfy blanket.
"I HAVE NO BLANKET ON MY SIDE!" Ray snapped, glaring at her.
"That's because you won't cuddle up to me! Norman snuggles with me and even wraps his legs around mine! So he gets some of the blanket. YOU always go to the edge of the bed, even when I try and cuddle with you!" Emma snapped, turning over with a 'HMPH' and wrapping her arms around Norman from behind.
Ray growled in annoyance and Norman sweat dropped, pretending to still be asleep just so he wouldn't have to deal with them.
Finally, Ray dropped the blanket and stormed off to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.
Sighing a little, Norman spoke. "Emma?"
"He's always like this..." Emma mumbled, her voice a little muffled because of the blanket.
"You know Ray has trouble being...cuddly. He'll warm up to you in his own pace." Norman told her comfortingly, rolling over to face her. She smiled lightly and he kissed her nose.
Emma sighed dramatically. "I feel bad nowwwww..." Groaning a little, Emma got out of bed. She was wearing light pink pajamas. She walked over to the bathroom door and knocked on it.
"Rayyyy, I'm sorry. I know you love us, I just want you to warm up to us a little more, but I was being impatient." Emma spoke softly, guilt clear in her voice.
After a moment of silence, the bathroom door opened, revealing Ray standing there in his black pajamas. He had a toothbrush in his mouth and was looking off to the side. "It's fine..." He mumbled.
Emma grinned brightly when he forgave her. Norman couldn't help smiling softly as he stared at the two of them.
He loved them both very much, even if they were difficult sometimes.
Emma would speak before thinking and Ray was distant and didn't like talking about his feelings.
"Norman, get out of bed so we can take a shower together!" Emma yelled excitedly, grabbing Ray's hand.
"HUH!?" Ray practically shrieked, eyes wide, a blush on his face. Emma dragged him further into the bathroom, so Norman couldn't see them.
But he could hear Ray's protests and the water in the shower running, and Emma laughing.
Norman couldn't help chuckling as he got up and headed into the bathroom to join them.

TPN (2019/05/01)
"ACHOOOOO!" Emma sneezed suddenly, making her boyfriend's jump in surprise.
It was about 7 in the evening and they were just taking a bath to try and relax. Norman was to the left, Emma in the middle and ray to the right.
Emma laughed loudly as she stared at Ray who's face just got covered in bubbles thanks to her sneezing.
Norman covered his mouth to hide his chuckles and Ray was trembling with anger.
"EMMMA!!!!" Emma screamed as Ray shoved her head under the water, she thrashed around. Ray had an evil grin on his face.
"Come on, Ray it was an accident." Norman told him with a smile, removing Ray's hands from Emma's head so Emma could come up for air.
She panted loudly and leaned towards Norman. "Ray is scary..." She whispered loudly.
"Oh shut it." Ray snapped, leaning back against the wall after removing most of the bubbles from his face.
They really over filled the bathtub, bubbles were EVERYWHERE (thanks to Emma who insisted on using five bottles of bubble bath) and thanks to their trashing around they'd have to clean up the water that spilled out.
Norman looked around with a frown, and then gasped when he looked over at the counter. "Guys..." He weakly pointed.
The other two looked over and their eyes widened to see they had left the soap, along with their other cleaning supplies, over on the counter.
They glanced at each other in silence.
"So who's getting out to grab our stuff?"
...
"ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS!"
Emma looked down in defeat as she held up paper. The two boys played scissors and smirked.
"What did we tell you about strategy Emma? At this rate, you'll never beat us at chess." Ray told her with a grin.
Emma just pouted childishly and stood up out of the tub, she carefully got out and grabbed the stuff, shivering cause it was cold. She sat the basket down next to the tub and then got back in, sighing happily at how warm the water was.
"In rock-paper-scissors, you've gotta think about the kind of opponent you're facing." Norman commented.
"Huh? Isn't it all just guessing randomly?" Emma frowned.
Ray shook his head. "People who are more open will naturally choose paper, just like how people who are naturally reserved will pick rock. We knew you'd pick paper so we chose scissors, it's simple really." He explained with a shrug.
Emma sighed loudly. "You make it sound so easy." She grabbed a rubber ducky from the basket and placed it in the tub.
"That's cause it is, you know, for intelligent people." Ray smirked.
"Rayyy!" Emma whined, looking at him with a big pout. Norman laughed.
Sighing a little, Norman ran his hand through Emma's hair, making her smile and lean into his touch. "You know he doesn't mean it Emma, he's just teasing you, right Ray?"
"Yeah yeah." Ray rolled his eyes.
Ray frowned a little as he glanced at Norman and Emma, they were smiling and cuddling like usual.
He'd be lying if he said it didn't bother him.
Sometimes he found himself wondering why they picked him. Why did they want him in their lives? What did he have that they wanted so badly?
Was it really okay for him to be here with them?...
"Ray?" Ray snapped out of his thoughts and glanced at  Norman and Emma, they both looked concern.
Emma looked down a little but still kept eye contact. "You...have that scary face again...like the one you had before you tried to...at that bridge..." She trailed off shakily.
This made him tense up a little. He didn't like to think about that time...
Swallowing hard, Ray forced a smile and pet Emma on the head. "I'm alright...thanks."
"Ray, what did we say about lying about our feelings?" Norman snapped.
"...Do it?"
Emma pouted in annoyance. "Ray!"
"Fine fine. I was just wondering why exactly I'm here I guess...you guys seem perfectly happy, I don't really give anything to the relationship." Ray admitted with a small sigh.
Norman's eyes narrowed. "Ray, we will ALWAYS need you by our side."
"So don't you dare try anything crazy, cause we'll just come after you." Emma gripped Ray's hand tightly. His eyes widened.
"Don't be stupid! Don't you dare ever do something like that! Everything I do is for you two!" Ray snapped, glaring at them both.
Norman smiled a little. "Ray, I know you love us very much. So why can't you believe that we love you too?"
Ray paused at this, and glanced down. "...It's just not that easy."
Suddenly, Emma grabbed Ray's face in her hands, making him stare at her closely.
"Ray is very important to us! So Ray has to stay with us forever! That's final!" She snapped rather childishly.
Norman nodded with a smile. "I agree, whether you like it or not, you're stuck with us."
Ray stared at the two of them in shock, before a small smile formed on his face. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I left you guys?"

Emma was unlucky.
Of all times to have her normal checkup at the doctors appointment, of course it would have to be today.
Normally, it wouldn't matter when it was, but when you're in a relationship with two boys...sometimes these things happen.
She wouldn't have minded, except that she had to explain to the doctor that no, she was not raped or attacked in any way shape or form.
The first cause was thanks to Norman, who had been a little extra friendly yesterday in the afternoon.
She had been reading a book in bed while cuddling with Norman...
~~~Flashback~~~
"Emma, do you know when Ray's getting back?" Norman asked curiously.
Humming lightly, Emma paused her reading to think. "I think he said he'd be back at 8, why?"
Norman smirked a little, lust in his eyes. Emma yelped as Norman suddenly pinned her down to the bed, causing her to drop her book. She stared up at him with wide eyes.
"That means I have you all to myself for now~" He whispered with a light chuckle, kissing her neck lightly.
Emma blushed darkly, she'd expect this from Ray, but from Norman? "N-Norman?" She stuttered.
He ignored her and continued to kiss her neck, getting more intense with every moment.
She trembled underneath him, she felt her whole body getting hotter and hotter. "S-Shouldn't we...wait for Ray...to do something like this?"
"I thought you'd say that," He mumbled against her skin. "Ray and I had a little fun this morning before he left, so it's fine~"
Emma yelped a little as Norman bit a sensitive part of her neck, it was enough to leave her panting.
She was completely at his mercy.
It wasn't like she minded though, now that she knew Norman wasn't excluding Ray on purpose, she felt much more comfortable.
So when he moved down to her thighs and started leaving bite marks, all she could do was tremble.
~~~End of flashback~~~
Emma felt her face go red when she thought back to yesterday...how would she even explain this to the doctor without dying?
It wasn't even just Norman either, later that night when Norman was taking a bath, she and Ray...
~~~Flashback~~~
"Is Norman taking a bath?" Ray asked calmly. He was helping Emma clean up in the kitchen.
She nodded, not even glancing at him as she wiped the counter with a cloth. "Yeah, he just got in. Are you gonna-" She started, but was cut off when Ray pinned her to the kitchen wall.
Gasping in surprise, she looked up at him to see him smirking down at her, the same look of lust Norman had. "I see he left his mark, but that's not really fair is it?" He hummed, moving the collar of Emma's shirt a little to reveal marks on her neck.
Emma's eyes widened, she blushed a little. "I-" She started.
"If he gets to leave his mark, it's only fair I get to do the same eh?" He commented, connecting his lips with hers. Emma moaned a little into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him even closer.
She yelped when Ray took her bottom lip between his teeth and bit down hard enough to draw blood. He continued to suck her lip until she was whimpering.
Ray chuckled as he broke the kiss. He grabbed Emma's hand and dragged her to the bedroom, she didn't even try to fight him.
~~~End of Flashback~~~
"My goodness miss, you're thighs have marks, your neck is bruised, your lip is swollen and had some cuts, did you get in a fight?" The doctor questioned with concern, fearing the worst.
Emma smiled sheepishly.
"...A fight...would be way less embarrassing than the truth."

"Emma, you know I love you and Norman more than anything in entire world, including myself. But if you keep elbowing me in the head while washing you're here I'm going to take that shampoo bottle and beat you to death with it." Ray hissed in annoyance as Emma smacked him on the head for the eighteenth time.
Their apartment was small, and so was the bathroom, specifically the bathtub. They did all manage to fit, but it was pretty tight. Norman was the farthest away from the water, Emma was in the middle and Ray was in front of the shower faucet.
All they wanted to do was wake up, enjoy a nice shower together, and then go to work. But was it ever that easy? No.
"I'm trying my best, but it's a tight fit." Emma pouted, she had her hands in her hair, which was covered in foam from the shampoo.
Ray scoffed. "Then how about you stop using all the shampoo and just rinse already?"
"Hey, you think hair this gorgeous just happens like that?" Emma snapped, snapping her fingers and flicking some foam onto Ray's face. He glowered in frustration.
"Guys come on, calm down. It isn't that bad." Norman spoke up calmly as he rubbed the soap on himself.
Ray tilted his head to look over Emma's shoulder and glare at Norman. "Says the one who's behind Emma and not having to deal with her hair washing routine."
"When we got into the shower you were the one who wanted the water the most, you have no right to complain now." Norman snapped.
Emma huffed. "Speaking of which, move aside, I need to rinse now."
"Oh, NOW you need to rinse." Ray snapped, narrowing his eyes at her.
She ignored him and literally shoved him aside into the wall, nearly making him fall. Before Ray knew it, he was shoved into the middle and Emma was hogging all the warm water.
"Give me that." Ray snapped, taking the soap from Norman.
Norman sighed. "I told you guys this would be a bad idea."
"Oh come on, sure it's a little crowded, but don't you like being this close?" Emma smiled.
"No." Ray deadpanned.
She rolled her eyes. "You're such a kill joy." She commented before turning her attention back to the water, trying to wash out the rest of the shampoo.
Ray frowned slightly and stared at Emma, or more specifically her body. She still had marks on her neck, marks left by him and Norman.
Okay, seeing those marks was very satisfying, that part he enjoyed. The rest of the shower? Not really.
He turned his attention to Norman, who was taking his turn with the shampoo. He had marks too, some on his chest, others on his neck, and even his legs. Again, Ray did feel a certain amount of satisfaction.
Smiling softly, Ray continued to look back and forth between the two he loved, they were both so perfect and they probably didn't even know it.
He'd spend the rest of his life working hard to make sure they'd see it, because they deserved to know just how amazing they were.
But then Norman elbowed him in the head and that all went out the window.
"THAT'S IT. I'M OUT!" Ray exclaimed, yanking the shower curtain open and stepping out. Norman and Emma doubled over laughing as he stared to dry off, a scowl on his face.
Even if he did love them, it wasn't worth it. Showers together just...didn't work.

"You did this to yourself. You just had to play out in the rain yesterday like a moron. What are you five?" Ray ranted as he set some water down next to the bed.
Emma was laying in bed tiredly, her face was red, nose was runny, eyes were heavy and she was sweating. "Dobt yell at be I'mb sick!" She whined.
His eyes narrowed in annoyance. Ray silently cursed Norman in his head for having work today.
Usually when Emma got sick, Norman would step in to care for her because he had a lot of patience, unlike Ray who was easily irritated.
But they had no choice today, so after some quick instructions from Norman, Ray found himself playing nurse.
"...Okay let's see..." Ray flipped through the notes Norman had written down for him. He growled in annoyance. "Dammit his notes are all over the place..."
Turns out when recovering from a fever, there was about a billion steps. Ray just didn't understand any of it, he never had anyone do this stuff for him when he got sick growing up.
He chose to ignore Norman and Emma's comments on how 'incredibly sad' that was.
"It says here to make you into a burrito, what the hell does that even mean?" He snapped.
Emma gave a weak giggled and winced when it hurt her throat. "It means-" She started.
"Shut up, I got this Emma." He said quickly and took out his phone, he did a quick google search. "...Take the blanket and tighten it around the person until they're comfy...simple enough."
Ray set his phone down and grabbed the blanket, and with a powerful shove he nearly karate chopped Emma's side, making her wince.
He went over to the other side of the bed and did the same thing, only this time he hit her side. "OWWWWW!" She cried, rubbing her side with her hand weakly.
"Right, that's done, this isn't so bad..." Ray smiled proudly as he looked over Norman's notes.
'A wet wash cloth on the forehead?...hmm..." His smile faded and he quickly went and got a wash cloth, putting it in the sink and getting it soaking wet before heading back to Emma.
He smacked the dripping wash cloth down on her forehead and she yelped. "BLAHH! YOU'RE SUBBOSE TO SQUEEZE IT'D OUT BIRST!" She cried as water slid down her face from the cloth.
Ray blinked and stared at her in mild confusion. "The notes don't specify that." Emma threw her arm over her face and just accepted defeat.
Turning back to the notes, he skimmed the last few and raised an eyebrow. 'Give her some medicine...she won't take it willingly, but make sure she takes it no matter what.' He read in his head.
Determination settled into Ray's mind and he cracked his knuckles before getting the liquid medicine. He came back over to Emma and glared down at her, making her eyes widened.
"Alright, we can do this the hard way, or my way." He snapped lightly, holding up the container of medicine.
Emma's face scrunched up in disgust. "Ew no! Geb that out of by face!" She snapped, turning away.
A ray popped out of his forehead in annoyance. Ray grabbed Emma by her hair. "TAKE IT!"
"NO!"
"YES!"
"STOP BULLING BY HAIR!" She cried.
"I AM YOUR NURSE AND YOU WILL TAKE THIS MEDICINE!" Ray smacked her in the face and her mouth fell open. He forced the container of medicine into her mouth and her eyes widened as she nearly choked on it.
When he took the container out, she coughed a lot and panted tiredly.
Ray smiled. 'I am such a good nurse...this is easy.' He turned back to the notes.
'Show her love and affection in her time of need...' Ray frowned slightly.
He turned to Emma and she paled, scared of whatever was to come next.
Ray sat down on the bed next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, yanking her closer to him so her head rested on his chest. She stared at him in pure confusion, but he was looking back at the notes he had.
The last thing on the list was rest, he had to make her sleep.
"...If you don't go to sleep now I'll kill everyone you love, besides Norman of course." He told her calmly.
Emma stared at him with wide eyes and hesitantly laid down on a pillow to try and sleep.
~~~
"...What happened?" Was all Norman asked when he got back. Emma was awake and had basically latched onto him completely when he came in the room.
She stared at Ray fearfully. "Dobt leave me alone wid Ray, he's mean!" She cried, holding onto him even tighter.
Ray scoffed and crossed his arms. "What are you talking about?"
"All I did was follow the notes."
All ray did was turn his head to look at some crackers, and when he turned back there was nine boxes of cookies in the cart.
"No." He snapped, taking them all out much to Emma's disappointment.
The same thing happened three times.
"EMMA WOULD YOU STOP PUTTING STUPID COOKIES IN THE CART, I WILL GET YOU A LOLLIPOP JUST STOP!" Ray snapped. Emma cheered.
Norman sweat dropped as Ray stormed over to the container of lollipops and grabbed a cherry flavored one. He shoved it into Emma's hands and continued pushing the cart.
Grocery day...was never easy.
Emma hopped out of the cart effortlessly and greedily unwrapped the lollipop to start eating it, only for an employee to look at her.
"Miss, you can't eat that without paying for it first." He told her.
"We're gonna pay for it, we know the price and I've got the trash." She insisted.
He shook his head. "I'm sorry miss, please wait till you're outside to start eating that."
Emma's eyes narrowed and Ray and Norman glanced at each other with wide eyes.
This would not end well.
"What is your problem it's just a lollipop! Nothing is going to happen if I eat it now!" She hissed.
"E-Emma..." Norman started awkwardly.
The man frowned at her. "Please don't make me call security.
Emma laughed loudly. "Oh PLEASE, in fact I want you to, I'll even do it for you. SECURITY, 16 TEEN YEAR OLD IN ISLE SIX EATING A LOLLIPOP, SHOOT TO KILL!" She glared at the employee as she yelled.
The man just stared at her with a defeated look.
"Okay, that's it, let's go." Ray picked Emma up from behind.
"LET ME GO THIS GUY IS BEING AN IDIOT!" She hissed as Ray dropped her into the cart.
He scowled at her. "One more word and the lollipop gets taken away." She grumbled a little.
Norman sighed. "I'm sorry for the trouble our girlfriend caused sir, we'll be on our way." He smiled nervously.
The employee scoffed. "You two are dating that psycho? How can you even be happy?"
Norman and Ray blinked.
Then they scowled.
Silently, Ray took the lollipop from Emma and unwrapped it, he took a big long lick from it while staring the guy down, and then he stuck it on the guys shirt.
"...You are horrible people." The man commented before walking away in defeat.
Ray, Norman and Emma grinned at each other.
"Well that was fun, let's finish shopping now." Norman told them, they nodded enthusiastically.
"Okay where's the stupid bear?" Ray snapped, storming around the toy store trying to find the pink teddy bear Emma so desperately wanted.
All week she had nagged Norman and Ray and told them just how badly she NEEDED this doll, and now that it was shopping day they were determined to get it for her.
"I think it's in this isle?" Norman spoke up, turning to go down an isle, Ray pushed the cart and followed him.
When they got down the isle though, they saw the pink bear doll on the shelf, only one left. In front of the shelf was two young girls who looked to be about 12-13.
"Uh oh..." Norman frowned, feeling disappointed as one of the girls went to grab the doll.
But Ray spoke up as they walked over. "Hey, kids would you mind getting something else? Our girlfriend has been wanting that exact doll for a while now and we'd really like to get it for her." He explained to them with a smile.
One of the girls had blonde hair and the other had brown. The brown haired girl scowled. "Beat it old man."
Norman covered his mouth with his hand to hide his laughter at the look of disbelief on Ray's face.
"OLD!? I'M IN MY TWENTIES YOU LITTLE BRATS!" He hissed.
The blonde smirked. "Old!" She shouted.
Ray felt a vein pop. "Where the hell are your parents!? Give me the damn doll!" He shouted, trying to grab the doll, but the brown haired girl moved in front of the shelf.
"Okay, Ray, easy... it is just a doll." Norman tried.
He scowled, turning to look at Norman with crazy wide eyes, making Norman sweat drop. "It is NOT just a doll, this doll is important. This is the first gift we will be giving Emma as a COUPLE and if we get her anything else we will be known as the worst boyfriends to ever exist because all she asked for was a doll and we can't even get her that!" He turned back to the two girls, still scowling with a crazy look in his eyes before Norman could speak.
"SO YOU LISTEN TO ME LITTLE GIRLS. THE DOLL IS MORE PRECIOUS TO US THAT OUR OWN DAMN LIVES BECAUSE OF WHAT IT REPRESENTS, NOW MOVE YOUR ASS!" He raged at the brown haired girl, making her mouth fall open in fear as she and the blonde girl trembled.
Norman looked around in a panic, seeing many concerned parents pulling their own kids closer to them, mumbling about staying about from the 'crazy man'.
"...F-Fine... we did't want this ugly doll anyways, you and your...boyfriend can have it. I hope the slut you keep talking about likes it." The blonde girl snapped, trying to hide her fear.
Norman paused, and slowly turned to smile dangerously at the blonde girl, making her eyes widened. "Oh...I'm in this now." Ray smirked a little, calling Emma a slut was a big mistake.
The girls began to tear up, and soon enough they were running away in tears.
"Excellent! Now let's give this doll to Emma." Ray said proudly.
~~~
Emma stared at the doll in her boyfriend's hands with a blank face, then she shrugged. "Thanks I guess, but what I really want is the pink elephant doll they have..." She pouted sadly.
Ray and Norman stared at her in silence.
"Get your keys babe, we're going back to the store." Ray told him simply, determination in his eyes as he stormed back outside.
Norman cried inwardly. '...Why me?...'
