We’re back again for another year of EllieDina week!
In order to have it run through their anniversary (March 2nd), this year’s EllieDina week will be running from March 1st, through March 7th.
This year’s themes are:
Day 1: firsts
Day 2: control
Day 3: magic
Day 4: fall
Day 5: old world
Day 6: touch
Day 7: discovery
You can be as literal or interpretive of these themes as you want to be! And just like last year, we welcome all types of works, photomodes, fic, playlists, headcanons, whatever you want!

First off your artwork is absolutely brilliant! Also I'm feeling some angst, I apologize in advance. Hurt Ellie with JJ. Like Ellie took JJ out on his first patrol and everything went wrong and now JJ is trying to help his injured mom.

you said first patrol but for whatever reason, i went on auto-pilot and drew a younger-than-patrol-age jj so uhhh...imagine they got jumped during a simple hunting trip.

brooo it’d be great to see someone write adhd!Ellie because she probably certainly has it. The amount of art works she pumps out is impressive during her short time at the farmhouse! it’s highly possible that she juggled multiple wips to achieve it? And her hyperfixations in comic books, space and dinosaurs? ( plus her excitement when talking about them) As well as her impulsiveness and difficulty falling asleep? Ngl it would be awesome just to see people write neurodivergent characters :3
Fun fact: Alexandria neonakis, the person who drew some gorgeous tlou2 concept art, all of Ellie’s paintings and journal entries also has adhd.( she talked about it on Twitter a few times) it’s v cool to me that Ellie’s art is actually made by someone with adhd :)

guitar is great because you have to engage most of your body and there's a creative/brain power aspect, so it becomes a good way for her to get energy out and relax (i say this bc i do the same thing w piano gosgwgfayifuegw)

elliedina week - masterpost
For those of you who don’t know me, hi! I am just one of the people who is just obsessed with both our favourite ride or die apocalypse couple along with those who make this fandom the greatest on AO3 and Tumblr.
I am also the person who compiles fanfic reviews and masterposts so trust me, I have my work cut out for me for at least the next month.
On the 12th February, two very important people announced a week long event which proved the hallmark of this fandom. It allowed people to come together under one collective, allowed some new names to be featured, new names and blogs to meet, and new relationships to be forged as a result. The initial post garnered 125 notes, and from there, the response absolutely blew up.
It was in no less of a commendable term, beautiful.
I’m sure the organisers of this event were absolutely overwhelmed from the response and as someone who sits by the side-lines, so was I. The enrichment received from the influx of content makes me proud to witness and also to be a part of it.
The response to the initial post was awe-inspiring, many volunteered as tributes, many said this was their first fandom to do stuff like this, but all in all, we were excited. We were just ready to show our love for this game and the people around it by coming together.
There are very few moments where one gets goosebumps – seeing multitudes of people unite made me tear up.
Instead of my usual ramblings, I’m going to keep this short (relatively), but one more thing. I, and so many others, are so grateful for each other. We showed the best of this game and its power, the best of the people involved, and how it meant we could all celebrate one thing.
We are all heroes in each other’s books.
Especially in this time of the world, the first week of March for 2021 will always be remembered for the time where we came together, where at least 150 posts were reblogged by the main account, at least hundreds if not thousands of notes were made, all due to the will of two people.
We owe all the joy, the tears and elation to @apocalypsebutch and @skribbz for making that leap and announcing this. The coordination involved between the two involved is admirable, and they deserve all the credit for the success of last week.

They will forever make my and many other’s first fandom experience truly memorable and are the result of what happens when we do the right thing.
