He hadn’t noticed him.  Eyes fluttering ones, twice and trice before finally occupying the already taken bench.  Shoichi is too tired all to suddenly, a sleepy spell overcoming an already constantly weary body till finally he decides he should take some rest, however he never thinks he’d actually fall asleep, thinks he’d just sit for a quick second and be off and about once again. Shoichi is wrong often, head bopping to and fro till finally he SLUMS and falls towards the child.

Shoichi is now convinced it’s Halloween; there are so many children in costumes.  Don’t ask why he just noticed them, what’s important is he’s going to buy candies to give away. 

Was Halloween early in this place ?   Shoichi stared at the child, ginger lashes fluttering confuse only to offer a curt & apologetic bow.  “ I’m sorry, I don’t have any candy on me. ” A pause, before summoning a somewhat awkward smile. “ but uh---- I like your costume... ” And he did, he wouldn’t have thought of something  ‘ cool ’  like that;  if he were a child still, he’d probably wear a PUMPKIN, bright orange just like his hair.

He is apprehensive, expression drawn too obviously nervous even when facing a child,  a teen, someone younger than he was; or at least he assumes. But it were all the same either way, Shoichi is always, always,  a l w a y s bad with  individuals whose face are contorted in that certain kind of ANGRY way, like he had done something wrong even before he could talk; even if it hadn’t been his fault----- the insistent music was certainly not his doing. 

“ Is it...really that bad ? ”  He doesn’t think so, the tune almost pleasant if only because it was idle; it makes his brain a little numb, makes him sleepy; Shoichi yawns, covers his mouth and rubs his eyes underneath his glasses.  “ You could just cover your ears---- listen to other music or earplugs maybe? ”

There’s a commotion in one of Coat’s smaller grocery stores this fine morning, an Ox ( donning a choker and studded earrings no less ) appears to have gotten wedged in between the aisles of tinned foods and cereal products…Cartons and cans knocked off the shelves all around him.

Moo.

He’s trying to be convincing.

A quiet morning grocery.  His mother once told him that if he wanted to avoid the ruckus that is grocery shopping, all he needed to do was to go and  shop early in the morning, she had been right for a while but just like everything else his mom had said, she would eventually be mistaken in her assumptions. She wouldn’t have expected a cow--- a live cow in the grocery,  then again neither would he.   

He should just ignore it, that would have been the best solution however the creature had been in his way---- just stuck right where his preferred cereal would be.  He frowns at it, for a moment waits for ANYONE to do something, but alas found no one with initiative, ( maybe it was the choker and studded earrings, maybe the cow just look a bit too much like a delinquent. ) 

“ so uh...” He motioned towards it, pause for a moment and glances over the object of his desires.  “ Would you mind if I climb over you for a bit ?”  The attempt for conversation is not without reason, some animals are strangely sentient in this world; an unnerving but true fact, so maybe this one does too? He could gamble on that.  

“ Does it really hurt THAT much ? ”   He is crouching in front of him, lips drawn in a purse visibly concern in spite the annoyance that had lingered between his words; Shoichi couldn’t be faulted for wanting to  leave  if only because he was so loud, however he’s only a child & this was his fault, the blond youth just another name to the growing list of men and women he had undoubtedly though unintentionally hurt--- he wasn’t looking nor could he even hear, headphones blasting far too loud when he eventually slammed into the boy. 

“ I’m sorry. ” He says, sighing defeated as hand gently pat along his hair, brushing away unruly strands of locks before parting away. “ Alright, stay still okay. I’ll try something.” Shoichi offers a timid smile, a not so reassuring gesture despite his intention. 

A yellow flame then flicker to life along his palm,  “It won’t hurt. ” He soothes, fingertips meeting scrapes and soon to be bruises and just as promised it doesn’t, merely warm against the skin, like holding a cup of tea.
