i hate ben a lot of the times, but i especially don't like him when after he is kicked out of sarah's spot, he goes on a spree on trying to get other people to kick him out of their lives too. he free falls into his self destructive ways, goes out of his way to ensure that the last bit of people that he has in his life hates him TOO, as a way to show them how fucked he is.

ben braeden has scars, but the one that he especially doesn't like talking about is the one where a hunter thought that HE was the shapeshifter, and captured him, and briefly tried to torture him before realizing that ben was human.

after dean dies, he leaves camp chitaqua in ben's hands as ben takes on the leader role. he wears dean's jacket, and tries to do things a little different from how cold dean was before he sacrificed himself and some of the others. the campers of chitaqua has no idea that dean led some of their people in there as a divertion, purposely leading them to a trap; instead, ben painted dean's death as a loss, as means to not have anyone hate him or speak ill of the dead. he has to juggle between knowing this information and adjusting to his new role.
