The unique culture of tagakaolo
Tumblr media
Tagakaolo comes from the phrase “olo sa tubig” which means inhabitants of headwater. These places have been the favored dwellings of the Kaolos.
The Lumads are considered as the largest indigenous group in our country. They have a lot of beliefs and practices in kaolos, according to my grandparent's Marriage is made possible through the parents of the male to which they will be looking for a woman for their son. Fathers call it a blessing to have daughters so that they are able to restore the dowry they spent for their wife/wives. The best is That if you are willing to marriage the woman in kaolos make sure you have a lot of money because you can't married her if can't give a money or in kaolos "bugay" in her parent's.
Tagakaulos
They will also be trained in the traditional basket weaving, embroidery, loom weaving, and blanket weaving as well as in playing of native musical instruments.
Under the guidance of cultural masters and cultural teachers, children will be taught of making indigenous accessories such as headdresses, beaded necklaces, dresses, and others.
Tumblr media
The Tagakolu people are one of the many Indigenous Peoples of Mindanao in the southern Philippines. The Tagakolu are in the highlands of the provinces of Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental and Sarangani. Like all the Indigenous Peoples of the Philippines, the Tagakolu face the immense challenge of standing up for their rights, being accepted and respected for who they are as a people and making their voice heard in the current globalized world. Tagakolu means people who live upstream where the forests are and from where the waters of rivers flow. Kolu in the name Tagakolu refers not only to the forests but also to the land, the plants and animals, the water and the air, the people and their ancestors, the spirits of the forest, their history, their stories, their beliefs and traditions, their music and songs as well as the dynamic relationship between these elements. All this is kolu!
I love you! (Dakula ginawa ta kanmu)

SELF Introduction
Tumblr media
Hi hello everyone, have great day I'm here now to introduced myself to you, I am Jirevel Gulada Molero 20 years of age currently I live in Barangay Manuel Peralta, Malita, Davao Occidental the third and a proud daughter of editha and Vicente Molero I am a pure tagakaulo and I'm proud to be a tagakaulo. I really love eating foods especially when it comes to dessert, playing mobile games chess is my favorite games ever hanging out with friends, listening a worship song and watching movies.
I graduated tertiary at Manuel Peralta Elementary School, secondary Mariano Peralta National High School extension, and senior high school at Mariano Peralta National High School Main campus.
I am one of the responsible and hardworking student, I am proud to say that I am a working student since highschool until now and its really hard but i need to work to pursue my dream, being a working student is not easy because I can't fucos in my own I have no time to myself and my studies we need to work first but i realized that it is good to work hard for better and for my families
As a student, I have a lot of dreams. Sometimes it’s too hard to do, but I know that I have to pass all the obstacles. I know its part of life. In order for me to reach my dreams is that I have to be more patient. I have to do my duty, if I want to reach my goal. In high school I have to learn more about being a good and responsible student. It’s not like in elementary that you are given every thing. You have to be more patient. You have to cooperate with your assigned group. It’s really difficult, but you have to. You’ll become hard working, you’ll study well, and you’ll be to true to your self. You must not expect too much.
The way to happiness; keep your heart free from hatred; your mind from worries. Live simple. Expect little. Give much.
Thank you!
