Late night lightning and doc dynamic brain rotā¦
Lightning wakes up late during an international racing trip. This probably wouldnāt be the most uncommon thing since he seems like a VERY heavy sleeper (see: entire first movieās plot happened because he managed to sleep roll out of his trailer) and it causes chaos as usual.
That day isnāt a race day, but it is an important interview/PR photo shoot/various other important not racing things day. He zips around the hotel/rental place they are staying at trying to get ready for the day. Meanwhile, Doc sits in the eye of the storm, chill as usual, seemingly just enjoying his coffee and letting Lightning make a mess of the place.
Later in the day, during a quiet moment while the photographers change the set, Lightning complains about the fact heās hungry but forgot to grab a lunch. He and the other racers taking part in the photoshoot try to figure where he can grab a quick bite the eat with the scarce time he has but draw blanks.
Doc then appears out of nowhere and hands Lightning a packed lunch in one of those classic brown paper bags. He knew he Lightning would forget to pack something in the morning rush and didnāt want him to go hungry.
Lightning is then (lovingly) teased by everyone else for the next couple months because heās so predictable that his dad crew chief knew to pack him a lunch

Jay didn't grow up with a lot of money (junkyards sadly aren't that profitable), he never got the newest trend, but he didn't really need it, he saidā¦ Until he found out that video games existed.
He had an old TV, but it was just new enough for a console if Ed or Edna ever agreed to buy one. He started to save up money from chores, but it quickly became obvious it wasn't enough, and wouldn't be enough for a long time.
He was around 12 when he started to break into people's shops to find things to steal, and was pretty good at it too. One day, Jay broke into a shop that Ronin was also breaking into and threatened to report Jay unless he helped him with the heist.
Jay, obviously not wanting to go to jail, decided to help Ronin, after the items were successfully stolen, Jay convinced Ronin to give him the items so he could sell them, to which Jay ran away with the money. Ronin was impressed with his resolve and decided to let him keep the money.
Jay bought himself a new console and some games and didnāt go outside for days
