RSD 2024 HIGHLIGHT: Unwritten Law - Blue Room (long before Scotty Mac was in the band...) on vinyl for the very first time!
Blue Room is the debut album from the San Diego-based pop punk band Unwritten Law, originally released in 1994. It was the band's first full-length album and would help establish their presence in the prolific San Diego music scene of the early 1990s. 30 years later, Suburban Noize Records is releasing it on navy blue vinyl for Record Store Day 2024.

Hi Friends, here's our confirmed list of RSD titles on sale Saturday morning.
Things to remember:
- We'll be open from 9am Saturday April 20th.
- There may be a line formed early in the morning, so please join the queue on arrival and we will serve customers in order, two-at-a-time.
- RSD stock is kept behind the counter, so please come straight to us to secure your RSD exclusives, after which you're free to browse the store.
- One copy per RSD title per person & no holds.
- Left-over RSD stock can be ordered via phone on Sunday 23rd April.
- The racks will be filled with heaps of fresh new and 2nd hand stock, as well as newly discounted mark-down records, so please feel free to hang around, have a browse and pick up some non-RSD records as well.

RSD 2024 HIGHLIGHT: Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Pinata: 10 Year Anniversary Edition
It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since Freddie Gibbs was at a low point in his career, in between labels and surfing couches, and Madlib was a skinny, stoned, sampling beatmaker, trying to forge his way with his own Madlib Invazion imprint as he divested from the label his music built, Stones Throw.
Pinata, their sprawling collaboration, changed the courses of these two musical mavericks. Now, on the 10th anniversary of its launch, artist Jeff Jank returns to his iconic cover with faux-Zebra hide, and Madlib Invazion presents the single LP, half speed-lacquered version of this hip-hop classic.

RSD 2024 HIGHLIGHT: Record Store Day 2024 Ambassador: Kate Bush - Eat The Music
A special 10” Record Store Day edition of “Eat the Music” exclusively in independent record shops on Saturday 20th April. The single was originally scheduled to be the first release from her 1993 album “Red Shoes”, but was cancelled in favour of “Rubberband Girl”. The RSD edition is now set to be a hugely collectible release for Kate Bush fans. Kate has recreated her own unique version, a beautiful UV printed 10” with her preferred track list of: Eat the Music, Lily and Big Stripey Lie.

On the 1st February 2023, the 1975 played their debut album The 1975 in full for the first time since its 2013 release. The album debuted at number one on the UK charts in September 2013, is certified platinum (US) and 2 x platinum (UK), and set the path toward a solid run of international chart-topping, awards, and sell-out arena tours across their subsequent releases. RSD2024 sees the album released on vinyl for the first time pressed on white vinyl with brand new artwork.

This is the first physical pressing of Laufey’s A Night At The Symphony. Recorded at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, A Night At The Symphony features renditions of previously released tracks off Laufey’s 2022 debut album Everything I Know About Love and her Typical of Me EP, as well as reworkings of songs including jazz standard “The Nearness of You,” Cole Porters’ “Everytime We Say Goodbye” and Icelandic jazz artist Elly Vilhjálms’ “Ég Veit Þú Kemur.”

Mute Records x These Immortal Souls [Official] re-issues dropped today!
Finally re-released after 30+ years, the bands' 1987 debut album Get Lost (Don’t Lie!) and 1992 album I’m Never Gonna Die Again have been remastered from the original tapes at legendary Birdland Studio by Lindsay Gravina and original These Immortal Souls members Harry Howard and Genevieve McGukin.
The band consisted of Australian-born Rowland S. Howard, who rose to prominence as Nick Cave's collaborator in the Birthday Party, his bass-playing brother Harry Howard, drummer Epic Soundtracks (formerly of Swell Maps and Jacobites), and keyboardist Genevieve McGuckin. They came together 1987, after Soundtracks and the Howard brothers split from Crime & the City Solution and were joined by McGuckin to form These Immortal Souls in London.
Alongside these 2 re-issues, Mute also presents "Extra" - a brand new album of unearthed live recordings and remastered tracks, featuring extensive sleeve notes by Harry Howard.

Physical copies of the F'tang LP are out today!
For the uninitiated, F'tang are a Sydney instrumental outfit featuring Beatdisc's very own Tom. Their debut full-length "Plot, thus" (recorded by Jono Boulet of PARTY DOZEN) was released digitally last year with a belated vinyl press landing this week from the fine folks at Black Wire Records. You may recognize some tracks from FBi Radio where it was Album Of The Week back in October. Here's what they had to say:
"Released after a ten year hibernation, Plot, thus is the debut album from Sydney instrumental project F’tang. Showcasing an impressive level of instrumental mastery, the project dips into and amalgamates the sounds of post-rock, midwest emo and math rock in a comfortable half an hour. On it, delicious licks of guitar fold over each other, washing and collapsing into calculated and careful rhythms, accented snares and gentle rides.
