Eee I forgot to show the pictures I took of my male and female! Remember the last post? I took more pictures of him.
Here’s some of the female that came out a few days after the male.
Yes, she’s in my hair on the last one.
And finally, the last chrysalis and cattie.
I might have to keep the new butterfly and the cattie if it’s too cold for them to fly. I hope I don’t have to, but I don’t want to send them off outside only to die from starvation or a predator because they can’t fly >:. If I can release them if warm enough, I definitely will.
Anyway, it was a good year I’d say. I had a lot of butterflies, but I did lose a few due to flies laying eggs inside of the catties (I doubt you guys wanted to see the pictures of those). I released all of the butterflies so hopefully they’re able to reproduce and start a new generation! I’m excited to do this again next year. Thank you for sticking around to watch the catties grow up. :)
