“Gh—??” It wasn't everyday that Bedeku was approached in such a way. They gazed up at the man with a bit of a nervous look on their face. Had he somehow picked up on their magical energy? That wasn't possible, was it...?

“Oh, n-no, no, you must be mistaken...! I-I'm really not that strong, and I'm certainly not a fighter...!” To say that they had been taken aback by the other's confident approach would be an understatement. And regardless, it wasn't like them to expose their magic just to anyone.

“Yeah, getting no rest will do that to someone.” Their comment was accompanied by a small stick-out of the tongue. They had admittedly been a bit stressed over whether they'd be able to get a stable job, and so had accidentally pulled an all-nighter trying to work on their curriculum.
