i feel like a lot of girls want to be a specific kind of girl that fits a specific aesthetic and are afraid to be multidimensional because we tend to forget that we’re people and we’re not single faceted like media portrays us as. you can wear all black and listen to gloomy music and read in cemeteries and still be bubbly and loud and friendly and happy. you can wear all pink and frilly mini skirts and knee socks and like makeup and fashion and still play videogames and be a football fan and slouch in your chair and be gross and unhygienic sometimes. you don’t have to be mysterious or gentle or mean or sweet or insane or put together, you can just be you and be EVERY part of you, including the parts that seem to contradict the aesthetic you want to fit. you’re allowed to be more than one thing, because you’re a person, you’re not a character.

the fact that we need 8 hours of sleep is ridiculous we should only need 4 and the other 4 should be used to be cozy in your bed and rub your legs together like a cricket and listen to music and think about your little scenarios

i make a lot of posts to the tune of "you're allowed to be horny btw" because it's becoming increasingly clear that adults being sexual in (clearly marked and blockable!) spaces is being stamped out and made out to be evil both legislatively and in the moral zeitgeist, especially among younger folks. not even in the "wait to be a horny adult online when you're An Adult" way, just an ingrained puritanical outrage response to *anything* that isn't chaste wholesome perfect all-ages allowed. it's unnerving and scary.
