barber struggle

Had to do something difficult today. I moved almost 400 miles to be happier  and advance career-wise...I have a good affordable place to live... 

A shop is being built in town (15 minutes away, I live WAY out in the country in a big house with 6 roommates) I told this shop I'd be working for them. 

That place does not open for almost another month... so  in a town 40 minutes away, a well-established shop said I can work there temporarily and stay, if I choose.  

I LOVE the barbers and clientele at this shop, and this is the happiest I've been in my life.

Hard part of today, was telling the shop closer to me that I no longer am keeping my word, and do not wish to work there. It CRUSHED me to do that, because they need someone for shaves... but this other shop is good money, it's old school, and well-established. The one I turned down is a little less money, NOT old fashioned AT all, and brand new.

I have to stick to being a real barber!!
