i really love the x files revival and i had fun with my mutuals at that time but i also think it's a big lesson to writers that if people love two characters together you really need to trust your audience to know what they want - and respect the relationship between a creator and the audience. i don't think chris carter has ever actually grasped what he created with mulder and scully and that is his greatest flaw. he's careless. and carelessness and apathy isn't a strong suit.
