terribly sorry for the inactivity, but i promise we havent stopped working on this project. so far, we've had most of the girls' sprites, the beginning of the game and the beginning of the dialogues done, and we're considering implementing more interesting features. we're a LOT more active on instagram btw

Hey just saw this and thought it was super cool. Wondering if you had the idea to make a discord which people could join to talk about the game and such. I have experience with ren'py and I am actually currently using it right now to make my own game! This ain't an application or anything cause I know you have many volunteers, but I would love to see a discord made for this game. Cheers Wolfie
Im already making a private discord for volunteers but i suppose making a public one would be a great idea too! We’ll see how it goes and announce it if we’re making one.

hi i'm super sorry if this sounds annoying, but i saw some stuff on the banpa website saying emails regarding artists were sent out but i never got one. i sent in a request i think 3 or more weeks ago and was just wondering if i got lost in the pile or if the emails are only being sent to those who got accepted. sorry again for bothering you!

alright guys terribly sorry for the delay but we've sent emails informing you of your volunteer status if youve been chosen as one! if youve applied go check your inbox! unfortunately as there are roughly 60 applications we cannot guarantee that everyone gets to be a volunteer. everyone who does not see an email in three days are on our backup volunteer list, which means that we will be contacting you if someone on the original volunteer lineup is no longer one. once again thanks for all the support, also signal boost the original bandori dating sim introductory post!

We’re Getting Clout!
I posted about this on bandori.party and it got a Lot more attention than I was expecting,,,, we got our applications from 2 to 17!!! im!!! im!!!!!! also we’re getting the header done asap. btw we kind of want your opinions on the following stuff:
- should we include they/them pronouns on the pronoun selection screen? i really want to but ill probably get a lot of hate
-should straight guys be dating our girls? im considering this but the person who suggested this on bandori.party was being nasty af so i don’t really want to give him the satisfaction:)
-what program should we use? im really sorry about jumping into this whole thing so fast, but we’re really inexperienced with coding so we’d like some program recommendations for beginners who want to make dating sims. however we have a couple of people volunteering to code so in the end the program we use will probably be up to them but we’d still like your recs just in case.

OFFICIAL: A BANDORI DATING SIM IS IN THE MAKING!
Yes. We are very excited to announce that the golden ticket to dating your favorite Bandori girl will be coming to you in the form of a real, playable Bandori dating simulator featuring 6 of our favorite characters – Kaoru, Hina, Tomoe, Sayo, Tae and Arisa.
Introduction:
As you may have been able to tell from the handle, this game is partly inspired by Ouran. For those who didn’t know, a host club is a group that girls pay to hang out with, have tea with, etc. Our 6 featured girls will belong to 2 host clubs, one for each school. Haneoka’s is led by Kaoru, while Hanasakigawa’s is led by Tae. Your first encounters with the girls in our dating sim will be a coffee/tea date, but what happens next will be up to your choices! You may end up with your best girl, you may be left single, sad and a virgin, or you may be surprised by your ending! Choose wisely! This game will be PG-13 for some swearing, there will not be s/ex scenes as many Bandori players are minors and that includes us mods.
Gameplay:
The gameplay format will be similar to classic favorites such as Dream Daddy and Doki Doki Literature Club (minus the hot dads and the nightmare fuel). In a nutshell, it will be a choose-your-own-adventure kind of gameplay in which you click buttons with various options and see where they take you. Unfortunately, all three mods lack experience in coding and it will take us some time to learn how this is programmed. This is also why we are recruiting volunteers to help us make our idea a reality, more on that later.
What the game will look like:
Sprites will be taken from Bandori’s 2D character models, cutscenes and backgrounds will be drawn by mods and/or volunteers. Boy I hope they’ll look good.
Current Progress:
We have most of the major ideas down on how the plot will go and what the game will look like to players upon official release. As this is an official account for updates on the game’s progress, one of the mods (@kaocreme) (that’s me) is drawing a (hopefully) professional looking header for this blog.
Volunteer Recruitment:
Most if not all of our mods are still in high school and it will be very difficult for us to balance schoolwork and the production of this game if we’re on our own. Also, as I have mentioned, we have very little coding experience so a few volunteers with coding experience will be necessary if we want this dating sim to come out as soon as possible. Also as the game will feature quite a bit of original art and a fuck ton of plot writing, we are also recruiting people who’re interested in helping us draw things and write dialogues etc. It would mean a lot to us if anyone volunteered to help us make our dreams (and yours!) reality.

Hello, I had a few questions regarding this project. I would very much like to volunteer to help make this a reality. Is it possible to double up on certain tasks? Like helping with programming and help with writing or etc with all possible combinations? I have experience with programing but it is certain languages like html and some python. I am willingly to learn other languages. I also want to help with writing but I'm not very confident about it even if I do enjoy writing. That's all my Q's
