Invested in certain TV shows, newest and deepest yet obsession: Miss Fisher's murder mysteries. Jack x Phryne...yesss, please! Old enough to know better. Doesn't matter at all. Likes Downton Abbey, North & South (BBC), all of Austen, Raising Hope, NCIS...
I can‘t be the only person here who loved the Taiwanese drama Before we get married? It was fantastic in all its mess and I thought it was so well acted and seriously hot. The main couple had an amazing chemistry. And don’t tell me you didn’t think about what they would do after meeting again? I had to write a short fanfic about it. Read it if you like…
Hidden Love is so good I seriously need to start giving Cdramas a chance, I adore her relationship with her family and her brother- my family is toxic af so every time her family supports her gives her so much unconditional love I'm a mess. The romance is great too, the chemistry is off the charts but the family bond really took my heart.
Ive rewatched 我们不能是朋友 and realized that I’ve never actually finished watching it the first time. I think I gave up and read the novel instead back then.
The last few episodes made me super uncomfortable because with everything on the line (Chu Kehuan and Weiwei’s careers, reputation and so many unrelated people getting dragged), it just felt increasingly impossible to be together.
Realistically, I don’t know if anybody could really give up so much for a lover. Much less a person who isn’t even a spouse or girlfriend. In real life, I really don’t think it’s possible.
But I could see why he liked her so much and held on to her that way. I just don’t know if anybody would do that in reality.
I’d like to think I would but even then I can’t say for sure. I don’t even know if I would still love a man that gives up bread for love, regardless of how capable he is.
It’s the choices that people make that makes them who they are - not their careers anyway.
On the flip side, I really want a love like that. One that BURNNNNNNS. A man who would look at me like that and tell me “it’s such a shame we didn’t meet earlier”.
Chu Kehuan is truly……… a fucking fine specimen. I love the way he respects her, the way he understands her need to be independent, the way he actually LOOKS forward to her growth. Despite the rather un-wholesomeness of the entire process of getting together, the love is actually pretty damn wholesome. There’s so much I wanna say about him I’m going nuts.

I feel like if KTL was shot in an artsy non super bright and colorful way and the main guy wasn't filthy rich everyone complaining about it having ''no plot'' would be eating this shit up, it's a depiction of a healthy relationship between people who actually like eachother and want to make it work, they behave like a real couple would with absolutely no personal space between because that's what people in love are like.
The essential core of their story is them being very lonely (all be it in different ways) people carrying childhood trauma finding solace and comfort in eachother and trying to heal and be there for the other person...
Is there something you need to say? I will do… I will do my best! Your best? Can you elaborate? I will be a police officer who sides with the residents and is warm and trustworthy. I don’t need any of that. The thing you’re good at. What I’m good at? I’m pretty good at everything… Are you talking about me acting up? Gosh. Now you’re talking. You want me to act up here?
