more sai uchiha hcs bc it's midnight and I don't want to get my tablet out to draw them yet:
he's only half uchiha which is why he doesn't have the sharingan
he does however have better eyesight than most (an uchiha trait), and can notice a lot more details which helped him when he was learning to draw
he has enough distinct uchiha features that when he and sasuke are next to each other someone will comment on it
this is also the reason why they don't 'discover' that sai may be an uchiha until after the war, when team 7 have their first 'the full and complete team 7 girls night (no senseis allowed!)'
how it goes: naruto comes late, dragging sasuke with him after 'doing stuff' together. sakura makes sai and sasuke introduce themselves, the night goes on, they have SEVERAL drinks, naruto comments on how he never realises they share some similar facial features and sasuke just... stares at sai. and then 'OHMYGOD YOU COULD BE COUSINS'
you bet ur ass sakura tries to test this (with consent ofc) and so the team 7 kids turn up slightly drunk in some hospital room at 2am and hey wouldn't you know, there's a new uchiha in town congrats!
(sakura tells ino who tells choji and shika and soon the rest of the konoha 12 find out. cue the baby shower cards and balloons from them saying 'its a boy!')
sai is lost bc he never knew?? that he had bio ties to the UCHIHA CLAN
meanwhile sasuke is lost bc hes spent half of his life grieving over his clan and meanwhile he had a WHOLE COUSIN living in the basement of the dude that orchestrated his clan's genocide
('no u can't ask orochimaru to edo tensei danzo so u can kill him again what- NO SAKURA, NARUTO, DONT SIDE WITH HIM')
anyway u bet ur ass that sasuke will try to introduce uchiha traditions and milestones to sai and they get to hang out as cousins more after
