Calzona - New York (Pt. 2)
The coffee cart lady hastily placed the cup of coffee on the counter before tending to the steaming kettle. Arizona grabbed the warm cup of coffee that warmed her cold hands because of the brunette. She took a look at the brunette who was smiling at her. She took a sip of the coffee and frowned.
"I think you made me the wrong coffee. There is chocolate in this."
"No silly, you accidentally took my order. I wanted to see if you liked it," the brunette winked at her.
Arizona's cheeks immediately flushed and started to drink her coffee at a faster pace while the brunette chuckled and took Arizona's coffee.
"This actually tastes good. You have quite the taste, Dr Robbins" the British accent of the brunette made Arizona blush again. She felt like she could keep hearing that British accent which seemed ever so intoxicating to her.
"Let me properly introduce myself, I am Allison Fox. I am the head of orthopaedics. Oh and our surgery's in 20 minutes, we can go over the procedure in the attending's lounge if you'd like,"
"Yeah that sounds great!" Arizona's voice came out a little squeakier than expected but she smiled to hide her embarrassment. Arizona and Allison walked over to the lounge and sat on the wine red sofa under the luminous light above them. Allison looked at Arizona and gave her a warm smile before pulling out the pale beige file from under her arm and going over the details of Ken Green and the surgical procedure. The entire time Arizona could not take her eyes off Allison's pink lips which tempted her so badly which was made worse by the fact that they were in the lounge alone. Everytime Allison noticed Arizona staring at her, it made her heart glow and made her smile without her realising it. Arizona would immediately blush upon that smile and would try to ask questions about the surgery to avoid the awkwardness.
15 minutes passed just like that and they both went to the scrub room and were greeted by Dr Reed's cheerful smile. They got scrubbed and met Ken in the OR where he was already knocked out by the anaesthesia. Allison went to the side of the table where the lead surgeon always stood and Arizona took the opposite side of the table with Dr Reed beside her. During surgery, Arizona and Allison constantly exchanged glances during which Arizona would look away almost immediately and try to focus on surgery all while smiling beneath her mask which would not be revealed to Allison which was her only escape throughout the surgery.
"Dr Reed, I trust that you can close him up. I will see you post-op" Allison instructed and walked away to scrub out of surgery. Arizona stayed behind to ensure that Dr Reed closed up properly and to avoid yet another moment with Allison. Soon after Dr Reed closed him up, Arizona scrubbed out and when she opened the door, Allison looked up from her phone almost immediately after hearing the squeaking of the door. Arizona smiled at Allison and both of them walked to the attendings' lounge, discussing the details of the surgery.
"So Allison, your last name is Fox. Are you related to Catherine Fox by any chance?" Arizona asked Allison as they hit the same wine red couch.
"Yeah, she's my aunt actually. We aren't really that close actually but she's been my greatest inspiration." Allison beamed widely while saying that. Arizona found that cute and smiled briefly as she nodded her head to show that she was listening to her.
"You know we have rooms here that are known to lighten your mood. We have a plant room, a blue light room, a painting room where some of our very talented doctors paint artworks and hang them in that room. We could go check it out." Allison suggested since they had some time to spare before their next consult. As they both got up, Allison adjusted her coat and Arizona stood there staring at Allison in awe. After adjusting her coat, Arizona cleared her throat and gave her a smile hoping Allison didn't notice her staring at her. Allison walked closer to Arizona, all while looking deeply into her egyptian blue eyes that glistened under the lights in the lounge. Arizona inhaled sharply as she stared into those jade green eyes, eagerly waiting for what was about to happen next. Allison then put her hand behind Arizona on the wall and leaned in closer such that their noses were a mere centimeter away. She then turned off the light and smiled at her.
"Gotta save electricity, y'know?" Allison chuckled and winked at her. Arizona stood there for a while, and smiled widely, wondering if that were all her imagination or if it actually did happen. She then followed Allison to the elevator where they headed to the painting room.
As Arizona entered the room that were filled with beautiful paintings of New York, of children who were once patients in the hospital and of the most random things that made the artwork look aesthetic. Arizona gasped lightly as she admired the beauty of it all, realising she didn't know that doctors could possess such hidden talents.
"The paintings here are really..really pretty", Arizona looked at Allison with a huge smile.
"Well in comparison to you, they are nothing" Allison winked at her and managed to get a pretty and small smile out of Arizona as she tried to hide it. Arizona chuckled as she went over to one of the painting booths and dusted the chair as she sat down and picked up a paintbrush.
"So what are you gonna paint, Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun?" Allison smiled at Arizona as she stood in front of the wooden portrait stand with a blank, white canvas. Arizona looked at her cheekily and shrugged her shoulders. Allison nodded and chuckled as she took of her pure white coat and placed it on the chair next to her. Arizona shook her head while laughing as Allison started posing in funny ways. Arizona dipped her brush in the light brown paint and started painting, followed by turquoise and then brown to paint her shiny brunette locks with blond highlights at the end. Allison then scooted over to Arizona to see what she had painted.
"Mm..you left my lips and eyes unpainted. Perhaps, you ought to have a closer look?", Arizona turned to her left to see Allison bending down and looking at her with a steady intent gaze.

Calzona- New York (Pt. 1)
Arizona took a big whiff of the smell of the airport and dragged her luggages behind her as she looked for a familiar face in the crowds. she saw a cheerful black haired woman waving the sign cheerfully at her that said "Welcome Dr.Robbins !" and next to her was a red head carrying a small girl who seemed about 7 years old. arizona walked towards them and took sofia from penny who welcomed her warmly. callie and penny took arizona's luggage's and placed them in callie's car as they drove away to callie's apartment.
Arizona opened the door to the blue apartment and took in the beautiful furniture and the view of the statue of liberty that could be seen from the living room window. she put sofia down and turned to callie and penny to take her luggages and put it inside her room. it was already pretty late so callie ordered in Chinese takeaway for all four of them and they sat at the table to eat their dinner.
"So how are you liking New York so far?" Penny gave her an awkward smile to start the conversation.
"It looks really pretty and I look forward to getting my own apartment with Nicole Herman when she comes here next month. How is your programme going so far?"
"It's going really great. It shows a great promise for my career. I'm so glad Callie came here to support me on this journey because the programme is very demanding and you can get mentally exhausted easily." Penny turned and gave a warm smile to Callie.
Callie looked at Arizona while picking up the broccoli with her chopsticks and said "I will always be here for you Penny. Arizona, are you starting your work at New York Pres tomorrow?"
"Yeah, a friend of Herman's will be helping me out until Herman gets here" Arizona replied looking at Callie. "I am working there until we build our new clinic, I'm excited about exploring new opportunities in fetal medicine!" Arizona said excitedly while Callie and Penny exchanged smiles.
After putting Sofia to sleep, Arizona slept in the guest room which was painted teal and had beautiful painting of Mt Rainer hung onto the wall. She sighed as she crashed on the soft, comfortable bed that welcomed her. It was soon morning and she woke up before anyone else did, got ready and left to New York Presbyterian. She took a cab and was left at the entrance of the huge hospital. "Hi! I am Doctor Sheri Lim! And you must be Arizona Robbins, nice to meet you", chirped a voice from behind Arizona. Arizona turned around and flashed her a gorgeous smile before saying hi and introducing herself. "I will give you a quick tour of this place and here is the welcome package", Arizona received a pale yellow envelope with her name written in glitter. She took a deep breath before following Dr Lim into the hospital. It felt good to breathe in the new hospital smell and to start her job at a brand new place. She felt like she needed a break from all the tragedies she experienced at Seattle and a clean start for her career.
Dr Lim brought her into the attendings' lounge where other doctors were hanging out. "Guys, this is Doctor Arizona Robbins, a double board certified, pediatric surgeon and fetal surgeon. Please do make her feel welcome here and answer any queries she might have!" Arizona looked at the unfamiliar faces and spotted a brunette, standing in the corner looking at her while sipping her coffee. Her green eyes locked with Arizona's egyptian blue eyes and it went on for about 10 seconds before Sheri's perky voice interrupted their moment. "Alright, I will show you the PICU and the NICU next", and she dragged Arizona by her hand, while she looked back at the brunette and gave her a small smile.
"Hello! I was paged here to meet you" a young woman with black hair stood in front of them with a huge smile plastered to her face. "Oh yes, Dr Robbins, this is your fellow, Dr Reed." Arizona looked at Sheri, confused. "Oh I think Herman didn't mention it to you. Every year, we will pick our best surgical fellow to be with you at the clinic, it would be a great learning experience for them." Arizona nodded in agreement and said "Hello Dr Reed I'm glad you are joining us today. So who's our first patient"
"Here you go Dr Robbins" said Dr Reed as she handed over the iPad to Arizona. After briefly scanning through the chart, Arizona followed Sheri to the patient's room.
"This is Ken Green, age 14. He has a history of spina bifida but he was admitted last night for an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, which was caused by a football game."
Ken sighed and took the remote control to change the channel on the tv. His mother rolled his eyes at him and chided him for being disrespectful.
"It's okay, Mrs Green. Dr Reed how would we approach this reconstruction?" came a voice from behind. Arizona turned to see the familiar brunette walking into the room. The light pink lipstick gave definition to her lips which made her smile prettier. As Dr Reed rambled away the steps, Arizona and the brunette locked eyes again but this time Arizona looked away almost immediately and tried to focus on what Reed was saying.
"Dr Robbins would be assisting me in this surgery. You will be here for a week and then you have to come back here again for PT but after 8 months you should be back in your feet again" she told Ken who rolled his eyes and changed the channel once again. "We will come back here in an hour to prep you for your surgery" Arizona said quietly as she exited the room with the other three doctors.
"So Dr Robbins, we have an hour left, how about we grab a coffee?" the brunette told Arizona. Arizona looked up at her green eyes and nodded her head. "So bonding over coffee, what a great way for you to make friends here Dr Robbins" Sheri said ecstatically from behind them. Arizona and the brunette chuckled as they head towards the coffee cart.

Calzona- "I loved you..." (S9 E24)
Arizona hummed to the tune of cornelia street as she waited for the elevator to come to the fourth floor. 2..3..4! The elevators door opened with a hum, revealing a skinny blonde in dark blue scrubs inside. their eyes immediately locked and Arizona hobbled and stood on the other side of the elevator. Lauren inched closer and closer to arizona as seconds passed by. She held Arizona's hips with her bony hands and took a whiff of her neck and traced Arizona's jawline with her tongue. Arizona's breath quickened and she flushed as she reached out for the stop button to momentarily stop the elevator. Lauren's breath felt hot on Arizona's skin as she turned around to face the skinny blonde, getting ready for the mistake that she knew was going to ruin her marriage. They immediately locked their lips and lauren's hand went underneath arizona's scrubs as arizona sighed.
Callie was pacing up and down outside the on-call room, wondering if she was overthinking things. She convinced herself that arizona wouldn't do that even though their marriage was falling apart and she sighed as she spotted Bailey. She walked towards her and enquired about Arizona's whereabouts and was told that she was last spotted leaving the attendings' lounge. Callie muttered a quick thanks to Bailey before paging Arizona.
Arizona's heart skipped a beat as she heard the page and took a good look at her phone before deciding what to do next. Lauren looked at her with her honey brown eyes before looking down at her phone and gave her a warm smile as both of them quickly dressed and started the elevator again. They hurriedly started fixing their hair as the doors opened and revealed Callie standing outside the the doors. Callie looked at both of them and gave Arizona a fake smile and dragged her out into the on-call room. Arizona turned back to give Lauren a parting look before she tried to fix her marriage.
Callie locked the door and pressed Arizona against the door, kissing her neck repeatedly until her lips were swollen. Arizona looked shock and held Callie out with both hands and looked at her sympathetically.
"Callie! Callie! are you okay?"
"No! No, Arizona I am not okay! Please tell me it's all in my head and that nothing happened between you two!"
"Callie..please listen to me"
"After all I had done for you, this is how you repay me? I helped you after the plane crash, I lost mark and it felt like I lost you after I had to cut your leg and I worked really FREAKING hard to make you feel normal again!"
"Normal? NORMAL? You weren't there Callie, YOU WEREN'T THERE! You didn't hear Cristina screaming about her missing shoe and you didn't hear Meredith crying over Lexie neither did you hear me screaming in pain! STOP ACTING LIKE YOU WERE THERE CALLIE BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T! And no, I don't feel normal because what I experienced WASN'T normal Callie, it was traumatic and devastating"
Callie stood there hushed as tears streamed down her face like waterfalls and looked at Arizona's blue eyes as she said "It's okay Arizona, if you don't want me as badly as i want you, our marriage is over" and she wiped her face as she left the room. Arizona stood there, her mouth gaped open and speechless. she paced up and down playing over the scene of her and Lauren in the elevator again and again.
