His chin raises, arms crossing before he continues, otherwise standing still. “Then perhaps you are blind to the alternate perspective in which you most certainly did.”

villains are hard to play --

Please remember that just because someone is playing a villainous character doesn’t mean that they don’t love their character, or don’t have a version of it that is perhaps new to you. Respect the muns of villains as much as you would respect any other mun, and remember to work with them.

It is very hard to play a villainous character in a world full of heroes and cinnamon rolls, and the muns who pick them up and are willing to give them a try deserve some extra support and love, because they’re going to need it. Love the villain muns, respect their autonomy as players, and don’t try to force their character to submit to your plot desires just because you’re playing a hero. Heroes might not always win, and heroes are not always more interesting, not always better characters – they’re just typically more popular because most of us want to be good, and it’s a lot easier to self-insert with a morally good character for many people.

Respect your villains. If they’re canon characters, don’t assume that they’re all the same as every other one you’ve seen. If they’re original, respect that their mun is giving you a neat new antagonist to deal with.

Conflict is necessary, and villain muns deserve to enjoy their RP experience, too!

[[ Lonliness is both something to be embraced and to shove away, depending on the time or situation. ]][[ Gilgamesh is no stranger to the concept, all things considered. He wasn’t especially close to anyone before Enkidu came along, much less after Enkidu was lost to him. He laughed when Rider asked him to become allies not just because it was a foolish thing to say, but also because it would go against a rule that he had once set for himself. No one was to become his friend or ally as Enkidu had once been, so as never to take away from Enkidu’s value to him. Saying you have two friends is different from saying that you only have one, after all, the two friend’s values are... halved, in a way. (This is, of course, while looking at it from this perspective using worth in this way.) So Gilgamesh cannot and will not have any others that he considers a friend or ally because of this. Granted, there’s not any that he would accept on that level anyway because no one else is worthy of such a position. So there is that. ]][[ Even those that he considered more interesting than others in the world as it is now are nothing but that. Kirei is interesting. Saber is interesting. Rider is interesting. Are any of them friends? No. (Others might consider themselves that way, perhaps?) They’re methods of dismissing boredom. ]][[ Physically, Gilgamesh is not all that lonely. Sort of. There are people around. (Even if “people” actually just means Kirei and whatever poor souls Gilgamesh has decided to pay interest to on a given day.) Emotionally? Oh yes. He would like to fill that void, mind you, but he will not because he cannot. Enkidu is the only one that could and Gilgamesh would reject all others. ]]
