Death in Paradise Quotes #1 Season 1, Episode 3: Predicting Murder. Aired 11/08/2011
At the Honore Police Station:
Camille: (on the phone) I understand. No one is to touch anything. I want the room locked until we get there.
Richard: Have we got any ice cubes?
Fidel: Sir?
Richard: To go in front of the fans. Basically, they're just pushing warm air around.
Camille: We should go.
Richard: Oh yep. Good, good.
Dwayne: (just coming in) What's going on?
Fidel: A body has been found.
Dwayne: Where?
Fidel: Notre Dame School.
==============================
At Notre Dame School, inside the Science Lab:
Secretary: School is closed but I left a message to the headmaster.
Camille: Where is he?
Secretary: I don't know. He must have gone out.
Camille: (kneels beside the body) Signs of rictus. Blood around the lips. She's been poisoned.
(Dwayne looks at the body, quite surprised.
Flashback: Woman's voice speaking in the background.
Woman: I am to be murdered. I am to be murdered.)

Back at Notre Dame School, the team processing the crime scene.
(Fidel taking photographs.)
Richard: (talking to a model skeleton in the classroom) Ah, Dr. Hudson. My old school science teacher. The years have improved him, if anything. So what was she drinking?
Camille: Rum.
Richard: So what's an old lady doing drinking rum in a school classroom? Who was she drinking with and where's the bottle?
Fidel: Well, sir, if Mr. Dunham hasn't changed, there might be one here.
Richard: Mr. Dunham?
Fidel: The school headmaster. And he used to take a quick shot while we're writing up notes. He thought we didn't see him (opening a desk drawer). Here it is. (brings out rum bottle)
Richard: You went to this school?
Fidel: Yes, sir. And if you want to commit the perfect murder, you can't do better than a school science lab. The poison's in that cupboard there. And reference books and equipment here for mixing up recipes.
Richard: So that's how you spend your time in school, is it, Fidel? Planning the perfect murder? (Fidel looks embarrassed.)
Quite right, too. So, what happened here?
Dwayne: She was murdered.
Richard: You can have a point for stating the blindingly obvious, Dwayne, but I think in order to bring someone to justice, we may need a little more.
Dwayne: She was murdered by a scarred man, who's killed before and wanted to silence her.
==============================
The team standing outside the classroom:
Richard: Voodoo?
Dwayne: She said it, Chief, I swear.
Camille: And this was last night?
Richard: After you'd been drinking?
Dwayne: I wasn't the only one there. She said she'd be murdered and that she saw it in the bones.
Richard: Well, that'll be a first. A victim that actually predicted her own murder.
Fidel: Well, you know, there's more to life than life.
Richard: That doesn't even mean anything.
Camille: Did she say anything else?
Dwayne: Just what I told you.
Richard: That she'd be killed by a scarred man.
Man: Would someone tell me what's going on? I'm Nicholas Dunham, the headmaster here. (turns to Fidel) Good morning, Fidel.
(Camille and Dwayne notices Nicholas' scar.)
Fidel: Good morning, sir.
