Amanda Kramer) is the best film ever made truly. here's suze. here's arthur. she's the wife and he's the husband except she was born to be a leather daddy and he was born to be a man but Not In That Way and also a little bit of a woman except not at all and maybe something else entirely but why should he have to be? suze wants control. suze wants to please and to serve, with an iron fist and a crown atop her head. arthur wants the burden of control and of manhood to sit on someone elses shoulders just for once. they know that they both should be frightened by the young gents, horrified by the murder they witness outside the safety of their home, that decent people ought to be, but know deep down that the presence that's rattles their cage isn't the icy claws of fear, but something else entirely. there's a musical number. there's slam poetry. there's sexy dream ballets. demi moore is in it. it's genderful. it's genderless. it's Queer with a capital Q in a way that cinema of this calibre hasn't been since john waters first hit the scene.
