god. this will probably be my only naruto post ever but i just gotta rant. 

sasuke and naruto should’ve ended up together. like, in terms of organic writing, they were the most logical couple to conclude the series with, even though i’m well aware social constraints, etc., would have made that impossible. i mean, god… naruhina and sakusasu are the most contrived, unoriginal, shitty pairings you could possibly come up with.

sasuke and naruto have chemistry from day one and their friendship is far more intimate than any of that het nonsense that gets shoved down our throats.  hell, sasuke is possibly the only character who ever understood naruto, even a little bit. the key quality in both of their characters is this: they’re overambitious orphans whose motives and desires are either misunderstood or dismissed by literally everyone but each other.

for that reason, naruto dedicates his entire training/life to finding and saving sasuke. he does that because, deep down, he’s the only person who knows him, really. that’s not dudes being bros. that’s love.
